How do you do this glitch?

@bongchoof You need to put a novice spell (fireball, wind edge, etc). one of the shortcut buttons (what that is depends if it's PS1 or PSP version, but you can change controls in the menu). Then you need to jump and while in the air use the shortcut. When you land it will come out nearly instantly, and you will be able to follow up with another spell if you keep mashing on the shortcut. For the PSP version you need to press and release both buttons simultaneously every time, which is a chore!

@Vercsase Do I have to continue pressing the jump button or after the initial jump or do I just shortcut spam? Can I control Keele and do this using the skill button instead of the shortcut?

@bongchoof No, you just have to use the first shortcut while airborne and then mash the shortcut from then on. After that you don't have to jump anymore UNLESS you mess up or get interrupted (like in this video) in which case you have to activate it again during a jump. From what I know, this only works with the shortcut.

Haha, this was one of the fights I was looking forward to. This guy is such a pain in the ass I could only picture you going insane trying to beat him with NIND. Should have figured you'd resort to the good old FIYAH BALL spam. A little disappointing, but I can't say I blame you. If it works it works.

L+R, ugh don't remind me. I hated the guard system in Ys Seven. Not hard to do, but a pain to get right because I would unintentionally set off my finisher move. XD

@Flegan777 Oh no, Ys Seven was much more forgiving than this nonsense. With Ys you could hold down the trigger that didn't set off the special attack (I think it was R?) and then only have to press the other (L) trigger to guard. Doing it the double tap way still seemed harder here since there was some annoying timing along with it.... + doom finger arching.

Huh, I thought the PSP version fixed that glitch. Good to know it hasn't.

@DreamSword Unless it was my execution, it definitely seems like there is a noticeable gap in casting instead of a constant stream. Keele should be able to keep Sekundes pinned alone from what I recall, but it didn't pan out so well in action. But yes, it would've been tragic if this was fully removed...though the impact wouldn't be on the level of something like Abyss' map glitch (R.I.P.).

@Vercsase perhaps bcoz people think they need to mash X and O instead of mashing L while holding X or O

so I guess using l and r trigger buttons aren't as comfortable on this game like ys seven.
