I watched an interesting interview with Miss Oudin, kids at her school told her she was french, surprise surprise she did not even know she was. She said her grandfather was from France. Ah.........that makes you french too.
She did a good job on the Serena thing, its not just about a slam, when your a player when you get to quarters of a slam for the first time you get excited or a first final.
@2699tennispro selena has more to lose, she is trying to make her way to number 1 in the world and every win is valuable. Melanie oudin may be good but she is no serena williams.
Mel is so classy, She knew Serena got shits on her head, but she still tried to be polite. Something that certain someone "cough" *Serena" *Cough* would never do. And serena fans' reactions toward Mel's kindness is are ridiculous. Yes she may not have been in one major final, but speaking as a professional tennis player (which she is), she does have more valid experience of losing temper on court than any delusional serena twart fans have.
@AdvertChild98 Oh really? Serena has gone through so many things and she's handled perfectly calm and professional in so many situations (need I remind u the 2004 QF and the 2001 Indian Wells?), anyone has times of emotional breakdown. Especially Serena's 30 and Mel is not even 20. Mel is a nice and sweet girl, there's no doubt about it. But if u know more about Serena and how great a champion she is, u will learn that what u've said is HILARIOUS. It just shows how ignorant u r about Serena.
@donellcarey880621 The time of 2001 and 2004 were long gone. How could you even try to compare that period to present is beyond me. If you keep with her antics, you'll know how rude she was/is on court. Spare me from talking about her 2011 outburst. She never learns her mistakes. This isn't about how much money or trophies she earned. This is about professional ethics which she doesn't have any. Apparently her delusional fans who support her don't have any morality either.
@AdvertChild98 Oh really, now you are trying to talk about the "professional ethics" huh. Yea, her rudeness is why she became the UNICEF ambassador and contributes tons of money every year to the kids in Africa. And it is also her rudeness which makes her one of the idols of the players on tour.
@donellcarey880621 LOL You are such a brainwashed idiot. She earned over million dollars a year, all she ever offered were her old T-shirts. Now you talking like as if she were a humanitarian? Everything she does is a show that she put on to ease pressure from the public who criticized her behaviour. Not to mention, we are talking about professional ethics not her private contribution to the world. Know the difference. Everybody on tour hates her, but they just can't admit it.
@donellcarey880621 Also try to watch her outbursts between her and the umpire in US open 2011 and her infamous inhuman rants in US open 2009. Can you really look me in the eyes and say she wasn't rude? Perhaps rude is just understatement. More appropriately she's absolutely trash, a human shame. I only pity her opponents have to deal with a fat-ass monster like IT on court.
@Joeylumadip So the US Open isn't a Major? She made it to the Women's Singles QF in the 2010 US Open and won the Mixed Doubles at the 2011 US Open with Jack Sock.
@Joeylumadip what kind of reasoning is that? A person might be playing even a club-level match where each player is their own linesman, and have an opponent who cheats by lying about the lines calls. That alone would be frustrating for anyone. Read Andre Agassi's autobiography and you'll see it can be emotional, he refers to such an incident with Jeff Tarango when he entered some tournament as a kid. Obviously he wasn't playing Wimbledon but it was frustrating all the same.
my god ellen knows nothing about tennis does she.. do they ever pay attention to foot faults? umm yes its just most pros learn not to step over the line from a very young age...
This is kind of strange. The Serena outburst vs the lineswoman happened in 2009, and this interview is right after that tournament, yet this is posted a year later!?!
Laura Robsons better than her.
