you say you are going to try again with softer iron, ive read eds magnetism book, he says that harder iron has a stronger effect (or words to that effect).....harder iron, or iron that is hardenable has a higher carbon content, soft iron has a carbon content of below .40% and harder steel such as spring steel has a carbon content of around .65%. AISI grade O1 steel has approximately .95%. cast iron has over 2% carbon.....i think there is some correlation between carbon content and magnetism

@MrAnguswangus I found Ed Leedskalnin"s vid about the Choral Castle a few weeks ago . After that I started to search similar experiments and I see these play with the remanence magnetic field but still I can't see the connection how Ed was able to build that castle alone. Does anyone see that?

Remanence would explain some of the magnetism remaining but it would not explain, for example, a light bulb giving off light at the moment that the flux "circuit" is broken and also would not explain the magnitude of the remaining field when some of the better coils are "charged" with a single AA battery, etc. A better interpretation requires some form of scalar potential. Einstien sort of plagerized a guy named John Keely(late 1800s)and only gave about 20% of the truth really.Watch the 2 Dale Pond vids in My Favorites, he talks about keely's theories.Everything is a result of 3 waves actually.The vid starts out slow with him talking about a water hammer machine but that quickly passes and he goes into theory.Once you start to see how shiit really works other things make sense as well.Conventional science has been controlled by corporations for almost 2 centuries.

If you are talking about the reference to water in the comment above yours, it is a reference to the "Dale Pond" vid in My Favorites. I do believe he used water in his machine though. The center held water I believe. It has a nice metal retaining wall around the top so that the water would be touching the middles of the magnets. I suspect his chains hanging above the wheel made a flux connection with the water and with the PMH he used to drive the wheel. Like the brushes on a DC motor connection

Mr Bedini say that his system would suit those who cant make use of the sun or wind power so a selfrunning Bediniwheel is my whish.
I have seen your wind turbine test and I know you have the will and know-how. The self-runner I have put aside for now because I want to explore all of the concepts involved before I make a big one (self-running generator). I'm really good at getting ahead of myself...lol. Believe me, my final product will run itself and I have seen that it can be done myself. Ed was a genius so I'm trying to understand all that he did with his machine...he was very esoteric in his ways.
Hello viewers FYI, I just wired the coils parallel and it works better. I was under the impression that he wired them in series but after reading the passage again he says to wire them so the electricity goes in each coil at the same time.
How come your U rod isn't built to the same specs as what Ed stated?
