@SearchBucket2 Garrison wasn't a nutter. He saw that the facts didn't add up and wanted the truth. But the truth is, even if there was a conspiracy (which simply means more than one person involved), doesn't mean that the military was involved.

There really WAS a cover-up - but that was just the Secret Service trying to cover-up their incompetence that led to Kennedy's death. It is their own fault if that made them look suspicious.

More or less the film wanted to highlight that thanks to Garrison's presentation of new evidence that there was a conspiracy or at least cover up in the death of JFK. (No offence intended! :)

The closing credits of the film state the about 10 years after this trial the CIA admitted that Clay Shaw was a contract agent for them - a key point which would have proved a conspiracy at the time.

@dchang11 the thing is your wrong, for one he was not a "highly skilled sniper with excellent accuracy" but he was a fairly average shot, another he fired 3 shots in a period of time which is near impossible for any skilled sniper within the amount of time he fired them, and it also shows that in the zapruder film that JFK went backwards when supposedly he was shot from behind. That is impossible, to go backwards you have to shot from the from, yes maybe he was part of it, but he wasn't alone.

this scene is about more than the asassination of kennedy. it's the most important scene in the movie because it's about the FACT that most elected to represent us instead use their power to gain profit, even when it hurts us. oswald, and other killers of those who bring about change, may or may not have acted alone.
