Chelsea didnt have all that money when this was played. So you could say it was a well evened match. This is what pure talent proves this was when ya didnt need money to manafacture a pure dream team. just pure managerial talent. Cos ya see Chelsea these days could have a 5 year old kid in charge and still win everything.

That is nonsense. It doesn't guarantee anything. What if Grant wins nothing this year(which could well happen)? He is not a 5 year old kid. Of course it helps.....but teams still have to perform. Like Forest in 1979. Francis cost £1m and scored in the European Cup Final....at a time when Chelsea's record transfer fee was a few hundred grand. But that doesn't mean the 1979 Euro cup win wasn't a great achievement.

thats a good point actually. we talking mega bucks this time though, Francis was one man. Chelsea will more than likely win nothing this year and i for one will be happy to see. Cos it will prove money cant buy u success.

I remember that period well and I reckon if I paused it just after Keane scores the seventh I could probably make myself out in the Trent End. From the semi-final against West Ham we went on the rampage. 5 against Norwich in the same week as the 7 against Chelsea if memory serves. Happy days.

Not really. Forest only finshed 5 points ahead of Chelsea in this season. The season before Chelsea finished 5th while Forest were 9th. Chelsea were okay then but just inconsistent. Beat Liverpool that season...did the double over Man Utd, were the only team to beat Arsenal and took 4 points of Spurs (who were good then) and knocked them out the league cup 3-0 at WHL.

lol that was worse than the 6 0 at Rotherham , the 6 0 at QPR , the 5 1 at home to Wimbledon ect . Thanks for reminding me - i'll remember that on saturday when i'm at Cold Trafford cheering on my team in the semi's of the cup . Good luck in the playoffs ( if you make them )
