Hi! I have this cold sore on my lip and can't get rid of it! Is there anything I should do to get rid of it FAST?! It's really important that it's gone by tomorrow...I tried putting a wet tea bag on it for 30 minutes and it worked really well with the swelling. I am NOT about to use concealer to cover it up because those type of things make my face break out in pimples and I do NOT want to add to my problem right now. I've been using Carmex, and it sort makes it harder to see. What should I do??

I ran out of characters last post.. Just wanted to add, for a little insurance, dab a little crushed garlic oil on every couple of weeks even when you don't have a break out. I put mine on, but it didn't help much.. yesterday I had a burning sensation and blisters and all that comes along.. I barely touched it. Today it has spread a little (great), but at least it is drying. Don't know what to do with it, I'm so ashamed and scared ;( This is the second big one I have and my last big one left a scar on my lip. Dnt want that to happen again

If ur lips r really sensitive ( like me) then put toothpaste on ur cold sore. I tried abreva and it made it ginormous!!! /:( I also tried alcohol and hydroporoxide and salt but nothing worked. Then I just dabbed a small amount of white toothpaste( not gel) on a qtip and spread it on my coldsore. Toms of main is the best cuz its natural! It's a miracle worker but warning it does dry ur lips so make sure u got a soothing and moisturizing lip balm like blistex!:)

I used the last ACV for soothing mosquito bites.Or slice a clove of garlic apply it for 20mins 3-4xs a day.More remedies on 7 natural ways to get rid of it.
I think this will work but sounds harsh. Give Abreva another try. I have used it at 1st sign and it will never even blister! But I have also used it when it has "bubbled" and its gone in a day! Trick I do is keep it in my pocket and put a dab on throughout the day. It takes away the pain AND keeps it from crusting at all! Swear!! Also, I put a good amount on in AM and let it dry then I even apply my lip "Stain". Not gloss or regular lipstick because it should stay dry! This hides it all day!
Looks like you've come up with a good solution if you're only interested in treating a sore that's already erupted. My HG is Cold Sores Begone, it prevents my cold sores from emerging just by dabbing it on when I feel the tingle. It's so much faster and easier than what you just showed us, LOL. Another thing, Cold Sores Begone is half the price of Abreva. No cold sores in years now. I buy it online.
Hey guys, try dabbing a bit of baking soda on your face when you feel that tingle. I get rid of most of mine within minutes just by doing that so that I don't have to get to the blister stage. The virus only likes a certain pH (more acidic) and the baking soda changes the pH to help kill the virus.
@babyrajaa My honest opinion is to just leave it be....heat can actually make the more inflamed (even tho it feels a lil better afterwards) and cold might minimize the swelling a lil but will make it more red. you want to try to leave it alone as much as possible so you don't prolong the healing. @Alexcutspie I know it's sooooooooooooo hard to not pick at them but I strongly suggest you dont. U might think that a pc is dry enough to come off but all it takes it to pull of a teeny not-so-ready pc of it and then your back to square one. A few of mine took alot longer to go away bc i wouldnt leave it alone. The gross drying and peeling off it the whole heeling part. It sucks I know but just hang in there doll!
Please respond to this. I have a HUGE one right above the lips, where that dent is under you nose. What can I do? I cannot get to the drugstore for weeks, my mother is not home, so I cannot buy Abreva. I am 14, so of course, people always look at you. @DarkSapphira Hey Hunny sorry for the late response. A good way to cover it up is to basically matte it out so light does not reflect on it. Put carmex on top (if u have no abreva) then dab concealer all around it and then top it off with powder so make it stick and matte it out. Make sure you use diff q-tips for every application so it doesnt spread the virus. Hope this helps!
I agree with you on how people react to cold sores. I have not left my house in like 2 days. I have used your remedy before but I have unfortunately misplaced my Abreva and refuse to pay $23 bucks for it again. So I have several methods that are quick, they last up to 3 or 4 days (maybe less). But this time I used Clove oil, Orajel Medicated Brush for Cold Sores, aspirin and ice. The asprin and ice are for the inflammation and possible fever. But I am on day 2 1/2 and so far it has dried up.

For Fever Blisters/ Cold Sores I use RELEEV, which is found at most Drugstores. I find that if I apply it as soon as I feel the first "tickle" or "needle pain", that in most cases blisters never form.

@TheCatsLastWord I didnt get one until I got pregnant!! I had no clue i could even get them! Just pay attention to ur surroundings at the time of ur outbreak. Weather? Certain foods? Are you sick? Did you maybe swap spit or share a beverage with someone who might have em?

I use ice for mine. it never breaks the skin. apply ice right when you feel the tingle for 30 minutes every few hours and it will freeze it. it shocks the virus and best of all its free!!! let me know if it works :)

hi :) i need help.
so basicly, its already too late for me to get rid of this cold sore fast because i felt the tingling like a day ago and when i tried to tell my dad to buy abreva for me asap he forgot -_- He bought it later but thats when the "bubble" showed up and crusted. do you SUGGEST i try peeling off the crusty parts (i know it sounds gross) but will it ake crater? please answer

@Alexcutspie I know it's sooooooooooooo hard to not pick at them but I strongly suggest you dont. U might think that a pc is dry enough to come off but all it takes it to pull of a teeny not-so-ready pc of it and then your back to square one. A few of mine took alot longer to go away bc i wouldnt leave it alone. The gross drying and peeling off it the whole heeling part. It sucks I know but just hang in there doll!

Please respond to this. I have a HUGE one right above the lips, where that dent is under you nose. What can I do? I cannot get to the drugstore for weeks, my mother is not home, so I cannot buy Abreva. I am 14, so of course, people always look at you. But i don't give a crap, however, I wear makeup, so how can I cover it up?

@DarkSapphira no because anything you makeup use on it will become contagous and spread the infection Do not put makeup and it just makes a perfect breading ground for bacteria :O put either, alchol , peroxide, lemon juice, toothpaste or salt on it continously to dry it out . if it stings is its working !!!

@DarkSapphira Hey Hunny sorry for the late response. A good way to cover it up is to basically matte it out so light does not reflect on it. Put carmex on top (if u have no abreva) then dab concealer all around it and then top it off with powder so make it stick and matte it out. Make sure you use diff q-tips for every application so it doesnt spread the virus. Hope this helps!

I agree with you on how people react to cold sores. I have not left my house in like 2 days. I have used your remedy before but I have unfortunately misplaced my Abreva and refuse to pay $23 bucks for it again. So I have several methods that are quick, they last up to 3 or 4 days (maybe less). But this time I used Clove oil, Orajel Medicated Brush for Cold Sores, aspirin and ice. The asprin and ice are for the inflammation and possible fever. But I am on day 2 1/2 and so far it has dried up.

i have one on my top lip... it was tiny yesterday ive woke today and it huge sore red its spread the full length of one side of my lip its the worst ive had i cant close my mouth i cant talk :( ive tried savalon, coffee, tea bag, ice, witch hazel, vodka nothing is working :(

thanks so much. U should try pressing ice when you feel the tiingle. I felt the tingle this morning and pressed ice to the area for 15 minutes for 2hrs. I then use put abreva.

For Fever Blisters/ Cold Sores I use RELEEV, which is found at most Drugstores. I find that if I apply it as soon as I feel the first "tickle" or "needle pain", that in most cases blisters never form.

@TheCatsLastWord I didnt get one until I got pregnant!! I had no clue i could even get them! Just pay attention to ur surroundings at the time of ur outbreak. Weather? Certain foods? Are you sick? Did you maybe swap spit or share a beverage with someone who might have em?

Emm I get coldsores a lot of the time like once a month or something like that , but anyway I got one this morning like at 5:00am in the morning or something becuase I woke up with it tingeling and nipping and a lump there so I quickly put stuff on it , but I came up today and its not very nice just now its like 21:20pm the now and its horrible,I go to highschool and Ive been to school before with it and people are like ew,but I am going to try this and if there are anyother ways please help ! x

@Exreka Well...It never gotany bigger than this since I caught it early. But honestly (pinky promise) within 3 days it was completely gone! scab and all. If I hadn't of treated in the time that I did..it prob wouldve lasted from 1-2 weeks.

I get cold sores 5-6 if not more times a year ; I don't always feel when they're coming on either . This morning I woke up with a huge one on my upper lip .. I did use peroxide & witch hazel but i used carmax instead of what you used , it's a lot cheaper only like 2 dollars . My cold sore is almost cleared up & like I said I got it this morning . But I wanted to say thank you this is a problem for me and your video was the only one that helped (:

i'm not sure if i have a cold store i noticed a bump on my lip like more so a lumo i figured omg is it a cold sore ... but it doesnt tingle or burn this is going on the third day i've been puting capho phenic on it i know that's what my mom does when she gets them but .. i don't know its went down but no scabbing or anything maybe its a mesquito bite not sure ... thanks for the vid

I use ice for mine. it never breaks the skin. apply ice right when you feel the tingle for 30 minutes every few hours and it will freeze it. it shocks the virus and best of all its free!!! let me know if it works :)

loved this video! i get sores at least 2 times a year and have ever since i was really little. i never tried witch hazel but i definitely will! also for anyone else who gets them alot, tea bags seemed to help speed up healing time :)

I have a cold sore right now and i get them here and there and when i put my cream on the cold sore it turns it white and my brother says it's herpeys and stuff it makes me cry sometimes but im okay because i have been getting since i was 6 and i went too the doctor they said almost every one has it in the world and i know it's not any thing that bad i am reall embarrased by it i really wore one of those small bandades on my face and then i finally felt okay after watching this im proud of it :)

@CBaby895 Since i did this when it first started, it took about 5 days to COMPLETELY go away! It wasnt even noticeable as u can see in the video. I could just feel it scabbing up till it fell off.

@MrLokojesus The virus is contracted thru touch of or saliva from someone who has one. my OUTBREAKS are CAUSED from stress etc (Not cold sores itself)...outbreaks occur when ur immune system is weakened or stressed.
