How freak'n sick is it that two church officials can promote a change in Catholic Worship while HIDING their crosses? WHY ARE YOU HIDING CHRIST'S CROSS UNDER YOU ARMS??
You two shame every Christian who is prepared to DIE for confession of a CROSS you are unwilling to expose. WHY are you hiding the cross under your arm??
The ritual editions that are to be implemented on Nov. 27th are very similar to the rites of the Black Mass from only 100 years ago. By deleting the name of the Holy Ghost and replacing it with 'spirit', what the Masonic pagans worship, this destroys any remnant of validity. This is an attempt by the Jewish-Masonic leadership of these liturgical changes to have 1 billion 'Catholics' chant along with a Transcendental Black Mass, fulfilling Apoc. 22:17. Run.
Whether, it's the Novus Ordo or the Extraordinary Form of the Mass, We believe and recognize that Our Lord is present, Its the same Eucharistic Presence! So if this is true (and it is) how can any of us have such hatred for one form of the Mass over the other? Why can't we celebrate BOTH with Love, respect and reverence? To have contempt for one form is to have contempt for Christ, and this sadly is sacrilege!
I don't understand all these pre apologies. This is what most Catholics have wanted for 30 plus years. Viz., to get rid of the sloppy translations. And why are the clergy so reluctant to just spell it out? This is baffling. Just do it.
I like the fact that we can enjoy and benefit from our past and enjoy and benefit from the present. I look forward to a future that we join together in prayer, benefiting from both past and present as we grow in Christ together in our shared future!
Elusive at best? What???? This will be glorious! I pray this new missal will awaken the spirits of those who have lost or never knew the reality of the mass.
Liturgy means " the work of the people". It is not the work of the clergy. Because of this a return to the pre Vatican 2 Latin Mass is a mistake of epic proportion. The people not the Pope should be writing the prayers of they want to recite. The people not clergy should decide on sacred music as well.. The third edition of the Roman Missal is not needed or wanted. The pope needs to listen to the Holy Spirit and forget his agenda to impose the Tridentine Mass on the 21st century.
@cloudsurfer007 You shouldn't say such things! That's disobedience. As we Catholics believe, the clergy are instruments of the Holy Spirit for basically everything that Catholics are to benefit from. The Holy Spirit had empowered Paul VI as he empowers Benedict XVI to create a new form of the Mass. Besides, this forms are more solemn. I'm not challenging Vatican II but I'm just saying that this is a very beautiful form. The collision of ancient liturgy and the contemporary times.
Trickle down economics does not apply to religion! Grace flows directly from God with or without intermediaries in the clergy to his people. God desires us to have a a personal relationship with Him not some ritual. In the ancient church the laity collectively ordained priests, and elected bishops. There was no pope in the modern sense as Christianity was ruled democratically by council. The Holy Spirit is present collectively in Laity. It is not concentrated in one man. Prayer takes many forms.
@cloudsurfer007 That's heresy my friend. For all we know only the Pope is infallible. The clergy speaking as a whole is infallible, by virtue of the grace of the Pontificate, and the Episcopacy, or Priesthood which was granted them. MODERNISM is the GREATEST OBSTACLE of the church these days. Paul VI rejected this after the Second Vatican council.
It is a sad for me to hear the bias of Archbp Danien Pilarczyk when he describes the tridentine mass as "a liturgy that practically nobody but experts understood". This is untrue, the english translations and descriptions in the missals provided by churches were very clear about what this holy sacrifice was. Our younger generation of priests rejects this bias as unfounded and ignorant.

Now that the words are are going to be more accurate, now get rid of the extraordinary Eucharistic ministers and kneel to receive our LORD.
Then it will be the way it should be......
It is also very sad that behind these two Archbishops that there is no Crucifix at St. Peter in Chains in downtown Cincinnati.

The ICEL has been ripping off Catholics and local parishes for years. Why not rewrite the texts? More royalties collected.

The less that liberals are involved with the Liturgy, the better and smoother it will be implemented.
