  • did you see the bird fly away on the right side at 1:01 ??

  • i thought the building would dissaper

  • greeaatt and how much radioactive particles were stuck on the sides of that tower that just got released into the atmosphere. I highly doubt the nuke industry would spend money.........on making sure it's safe

  • @lilnicky47

How ignorant and uninformed. All that comes out of a cooling tower is steam. The rod are kept underwater and the steam is made from the heat. Go back upstairs and suckle your mom, I'm done with her.

  • @oldfart387 Lol alright tough guy. People like you have the biggest balls behind that computer screen. You see me in real life and you would shit yo self

  • @lilnicky47

So, I was right! Go back to your boyfriend, he really likes that tea-bag thing you do.

  • greeaatt and how much radioactive particles were stuck on the sides of that tower that just got released into the atmosphere. I highly doubt the nuke industry would spend money.........on making sure it's safe

  • At 0:54 seconds in, it looks like a Smiley Face to me.

Certainly will be a happy day when they are all gone!

  • did something go wrong? or did they have to destroy it?

  • @deadinferno10 It wasn't being used for anything. They just decided it was time to go.

  • Only morons think nuclear power is the way to go because only a moron can look at a small portion of it's operation and call it efficient or clean. They completely ignore how much pollution is created from the mining and enrichment of the ore to the building of the plant plus the fact that the cooling is not powered by the plant itself as a safety measure it's usually powered by a coal, oil or gas power plant as well as the cooling and storage of it's waste until it can be transported to a stor

  • Life really must have lagged then.

  • 1:11 Smoke Looks Like a Mexican ^^

  • Ever notice how the dust cloud resembles a mushroom cloud?

  • All that nuclear dust

  • @supersmalls its not nuclear dust , all radioactive eqpt/pipingwas moved to eastearn washington its just concrete man

  • "trojan" the tower got a virus and fell over

  • @sargentsolar Enjoy paying three times as much for food. And by the way, Canada uses nuclear power as well.

  • @sargentsolar The USA already has over a hundred active nuclear plants. Feel free to get out.

  • @sargentsolar With today's safety standards, plants would automatically shutdown before they "explode." Even if the extremely unlikely event of an explosion were to occur, it would not be like the nuclear explosion you're probably thinking of. Entire plants do not just explode, the explosion would not be big enough to have any effect outside of the plant. Furthermore, you mention "electricity" as the way to go. Nuclear power produces electricity, and far more efficiently and cheaply than solar.

  • @randomenglish

Also retards fail to notice due to the large amounts of coal required for "conventional"plants, tons and tons of mercury, thorium and natural uranium are released from coal burning power plants. I wonder who will tell the liberals thoug, because they are so imbecillic I can't stand being in one room with them, let alone speaking to them.

  • @sargentsolar Chernobyl was a byproduct of Soviets cutting corners, like they did with everything. The reactor at Chernobyl did not follow safety procedures which were then world standard, and besides that, Chernobyl is 1 incident. Meanwhile, 8000+ nuclear reactors have served their lifetimes without issue.

    hmmm

  • @sargentsolar except that doesn't happen

  • Ok.. Now whos going to clean up the mess in the forest?

  • dont wanna be a smartass, but thats a cooling tower, so the plant could be a coal power plant not just a nuclear plant

  • so did homer push the wong button XD

  • Radioactive mutations, slow death and birth defects are not "green."

I guess cancer is "green" if you hate people.

Wind. Solar. Thermal. Passive solar. Geo thermal. Ocean Hydro.

    THAT IS GREEN

Not one of us consents to die for your electricity.

    NO MORE NUCLEAR POWER PLANTS!

  • I think homer simpson pushed the big red button...

  • @FrozenMike95 ... im sure i have heard that one before like one vid back and that guy wrote : so.. did homer push the wrong button ...

  • @Gutten111 yeah I did copy from another guy

  • In response to Nuclear power being one of the greenest kinds of power...it is not "one of the greenest" ....I know the comment was made 2 years ago, but hasn't anyone thought of using GEOTHERMAL, since Oregon is on a hot bed of molten lava not very far beneath the earths crust....or would that just make too much sense to replace nuclear plants with geothermal plants?

  • Cooling Tower was a landmark, wish it was still there! still not sure why they did that.

I remember going there to the visitor center they had there when I was a kid. 20 years now wow!

  • they removed the reactor long time before to a storage facility.

  • when this tower was destroyed it was decomissioned for a while but it was sad to see it go after being so used to it being their

  • Bird at 1:00 barely made it out.

  • yeah stop poluting

  • DUUUUUDE!! Those birds we're flying baaack wards!!!

  • why do people replace the actual audio with music?!

  • @earthsign74,

Because the audio track is not really ever a clear, sharp, windless sound, like you get from the expensive studio microphones. The first part was probably just a bunch of wind.

  • Nuclear fusion is much better than fission, they're refining it as we speak

  • Heh, when the smoke comes out it looks like Squidward's house.

  • this reminds about a game called mechwarrior 3....

  • Research Mayak

  • What a lot of people don't realize is that the right type of fuel for nuclear fission is finite.

  • Wow! They blow it UP. Then blow it down.

  • God dammit wolverine.

  • damn this music sucks

  • heyyyy thats how the Twin Towers came down!!!!

  • Chuck Norris would of just pushed it over for free

  • Reminds me of the game Split Second when the same Nuclear Tower is blown up.

  • haha. there's a face XD

  • Did anyone see the bird come out of that tower at 1:02!? He was likee lalala nice relaxing day.. doo doo doo BOOOOOMM!!!!1 OMGWTFBBQ ever1 GTFO ir are sploshun!!!!!111

  • just looks crazy

  • trojan back door or malware?

  • its a waste of fundings for someone to reconstruct a powerplant from dust in a matter of seconds just to blow it up again... shame.... haha

  • nuclear power FTW!!!!

  • 0:58 looks like an sideways H

  • POOP.........JK

  • Saw this live on TV when it 1st happened....now we go fishing in the ponds below the tower's former site!!!

  • haha it made an "I"

  • that bird at the end must have freaked out!!!

  • those cooling towers are tough as, they are one piece of continuous cement

  • oops, sorry, that was me.

  • Omg poor birdy, he got scared as hell. :S

  • you sir= stupid -.-

  • hey! thats where the glow in the dark condoms come from!

  • @smurfyhandy *RANDOM WOMAN*"I CANT FIND IT WHERE THE F IS IT?"

  • lol at the bird

  • pause around 0:56 - 1:00

    It's got a face.

    }:[]

  • heheheh ur right it looks better at 1:11

  • roflmao it does XD

  • lol at 1:00 the smoke looked like a face

  • awesome blast !!! i work in demolition, this is blast beautiful in my view

  • wow.how high is that cooling tower

  • "!mooB" and then "Boom!"

  • Hahahahahaha

  • lolz oregon is the best state

  • boom

  • lol at the beginning i thought it was from the mist from the movie 'the mist'

  • Awesome!!

  • Did you notice the explosion made an 'I'?

  • i liked it backwards, it would be so cool if buildings were built that fast

  • Thanks for correcting me. I know nothing about these things aside from them being truly amazing. ;)

  • it is in washington not oregon i live by it

  • It was in Rainier Oregon. You see that big body of water? That is the Columbia River seperating Oregon from Washington. The video was probably filmed from Washington, but the plant was in Oregon.

  • come and see sheffields demolition of tinsley cooling towers.

  • whats the song

  • Aw! Cooling towers are beautiful. Just leave 'em there. Don't dynamite the beasts. They make the landscape look better!

  • Nuclear power is one of the greenest kinds of power out there, rebuild it!

  • That stuff you see is called steam. No CO2 whatsoever. You might benefit by doing a little research on the subject.

  • I wasn't dissing you i was just wondering

  • I wasn't dissing you either. You would seriously benefit from doing a little research. Don't know how else to say it.

  • Correct. It's only rising steam from boiling water that's supposed to turn a turbine that cools the reactor.

  • as the other guy said it is just steam. Nuclear power plants release 0 radiation or co2 emmisions into the enviroment. Coal plants release C02 and radiation.

Even more interesting there have been more deaths from Hydro electric plants then nuclear.

Look up Dam failures on wikipedia it is really interesting. There is one in Pennsylvania that wiped out an entire town and one in China in the 70s that killed thousands of people.

  • um .. coal power plants don't release radiation nuclear plants use radioactive decay to generate heat but this is insulated .. neither release radiation or radioactive material into the environment :P

  • burning coal releases radioactive particulates into the air. See the coal mined from the earth sometimes has radioactive isotops on the coal so when it it is burned it gets released into the atmosphere.

So again Coal plants release radation into the enviroment while nuclear plants do not.

  • everything is radioactive ever heard of background radiation coals real problem is the CO2 (and the damage of mining it also) not the radiation

P.S by everything is radioactive i mean there are a lot of substances that contain radioactive isotopes.

  • @switzerlicious As an engineer I'd agree with you, however, we need to sort out how to effectively deal with the waste products first.

I personally have hopes for Fusion rather than Fission.

  • @switzerlicious AHAH NOT TO MENTION THE MOST DANGEROUS TOO :D fucking idiot.

  • @IceCreamSteve1

Not in the long run considering long term effects. Think about it.

  • @switzerlicious man come on, after we start using all nuclear power, where are we going to put the waste? i mean really? underground? where its vulnerable to earthquakes to further contaminate the water. or blast it into space? where our government can spend billions of dollars a year to build ships to carry them far enough away from the planet so it dosent stay in the gravitational feild and burn up in our atmosphere in turn creating radioactive rain.

  • @IceCreamSteve1 well we could make a steel container put the waste in it and put it in a massive concrete mix and then store it on the surface away from plants

  • @switzerlicious but it can take a toll if something went wrong. a HUGE toll

  • @Devinfilms6679 NO! Do your research!!

  • @locosland Chernobyl, ring a bell??

  • @switzerlicious I call HORSESHIT

  • @ZombiePowerDrink You can call whatever you want, now go do some research.

  • Comment removed

  • @switzerlicious I said that because of all the nuclear waste that it creates. Im not getting into a youtube debate now have fun replying to everyone who agrees with me.

  • @ZombiePowerDrink I have no interest in a debate either. Everyone that agrees with you is invited to do research as well.

  • @switzerlicious the tower was probably messed up

  • @switzerlicious NO, rebuild a newer and more efficient one!

  • @switzerlicious yes but ALSO one of the most dangerous :|

  • @BluEyedPrince140

Yup, right up there with millions of people breathing pollutants all their lives.

  • @switzerlicious Thats True, But it can also be the most dangerous...

  • The Trojan tower was in Washington, about 30 miles north of Portland, OR

  • It's just a Condensate Cooling Tower nothing

Nuclear about it. It cools water from steam condensate produced in the hotwells of the Electric generators Steam turbines. Hot Steam

turned to hot water then circulated through a

cooling tower with air forced up the tower by

by a huge electric fan. Thus turning hot water

back into cool demineralized water to be reused.

  • SMITHERS RELEASE THE HOUNDS

  • Awesome

  • homer simpson is out of a job.

  • Go Green Go Green!

  • wtf i'm crazy of wasn't it ment to fall down not to the side ????

  • Yay! So awesome!!!

  • then every1 got laginairs diseas..

  • Good for you, genius. Glad to hear that you "live in oregon and watchedthem blow it up". Have a day, dude.

  • get someone to base-jump off an imploding building

  • we got a communist!

  • if terrorist crashed a plane into those I don't think it would do anything. In order to melt a plant down they would have to destroy the chilled water supply line to the reactor

  • or just block it

  • I guess poor Homer Simpson is looking for a new job : ).

  • NOT fake..."akamarujump11". This was in WA state near the Columbia River. Cool reverse video effect, too.

  • skleeve29 u have a nine inch wizard sleeve u fatty dush it in oregon not washington duuuuuuussssshhhh baaaaaaagggggggggg

  • You are correct...Oregon, not Washington. But the river is the border for these two states. My mistake, please forgive my grave error of several hundred feet. Also, you can label me a "duuuuuuussssshhhh baaaaaaagggggggggg", but you are actually the douche bag, as well as an asshole and an idiot. Cheers, pal. Lern 2 spel, moron.

  • lol who gives a shit about spelling u 'douche bag' i live in oregon and watchedthem blow it up while u were blowin ure dead dad bitch

  • fake

  • hhahaha i like how a bird flies out of the right side of it.

  • cool...

    what's the song?

  • cool but is it really neccesary to rewind it?

  • whats the point of getting rid of those towers there so cool!!! but not wen there blown up

  • some prefers a green landscape without a solid concrete tower in the middle... some others don't... you know... details, and viewopoints...

  • implosion is when the air is incoming . Explosion is with a shockwave.

  • what is the different's between a explosion and implosion''?

  • explosion is everything flying outwards, implosion is the building falling in on itself

  • COol

  • that fell shit slow

    :D

  • Now they can burn more fossil fuels. Score one for mother earth.

-or pay three times more for solar.

  • Maybe they just built another nuclear reactor elsewhere? You know, further from cities?

  • muy buen video, awesome video.

  • i live rite across the river from where the trojan was.

it was awsum seeing it in person.

  • yeah but this was 1 tower you wanna see the good old scots do 4 towers!chapelcross nuclear powerstation uk

  • ironic exactly oneyear todate chapelcross coolingtowers in uk came down 20/5/07!some kind off conspiracy? lol

  • Would like your permission to use this on our free website. theconstructionlibrary

    Regards

    Mike

  • ur a dumbfuck

  • Wow look, a rewind button...wait wait. Now watch what happens when I play it slow motion.

    Cooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool

  • pause it at 00:56 and its a face

  • Yeah I liked the reverse implosion. Nice work!

  • that was okay......i wish it was longer...... 4 stars

  • Awesome!

  • that was really awesome! 5 stars

  • That looked awesome when it went back together. Anyhow, I surprised that you didn't get Cancer from it LOL. Well, if you want, watch my video "My best friend ate my cat (not really)" it's not gross or anything :) Leave a rating if you like.

  • why would he get cancer, he has a better chance of getting cancer from a cell phone then a nuclear power plant

  • Yeah, no chance of cancer otherwise they wouldn't have blown them up. Those are just cooling towers - that's why they were imploded. No nuclear activity in those.

Nuclear generators is a different story - they don't just blow those things up.

  • why would you get cancer from it its just a cooling tower no radioactive stuff in there

  • sehr hübsch!

  • Trojan? I thought that you were giving out Jimmy Caps, or something!

  • O.O Gross lol

  • That's so cool how it goes back in time.

  • that is awesome
