Jackson is doing some great stuff with their line. Different finishes, woods, shapes, etc. The quality is top notch, but I can't for the life of me figure out why they don't go back to the San Dimas spec layout. 4 degree neck angle, and for the love of god, stop countersinking the trems! Yuck! Come on Jackson just look on E-bay and see that the vintage San Dimas/Ontario guitars are skyrocketing in value, and the reason is because of the way they were speced out.The playability was just better!
Wat jackson needs now is to put OFRs in the pro series, and a lefty neck thru king V in that too, (HINT HINT I CANT AFFORD A CUSTOM YET, HINT CHRIS HINT HINT)
how did they change the woods and finished from last year? and the shark fins just look sick, they make that and the head. i just ordered a jackson kelly js, i cant wait to get it, i heard good reviews about it, and the pickups i heard were good. i just hope the pickups r realy good
It is had to knock ESP with their LTD line. They make some really nice guitars that are affordable. I have an LTD MH-400 and everyone who plays it finds it very impressive for the cost. Jackson's quality slipped and they paid for it. I got a cheaper JS model a few years ago and it was horrible. Glad to see they are trying to fix that. It is good to see this legend of a company making a comeback.
Yeah its all fenders fault. from what i have read about. I have a friend and he has a few ESP's and they are amazing. Im picking up guitar as well and im getting one of the JS series Dinky's in the next few weeks i cant wait!
yeah but the saddest thing is; ESP is paying millions of dollars to it's endorsers yet only few of them use their ESPs during recordings. Jackson is at least selling as much as ESP does without paying millions of dollars to it's endorsers. well who'd buy a japanese rip off anyway lol.
I don't think ESP pays its endorsers...You have something to back that up? Maybe, But I haven't heard anything. Actually ESP as a company started as only a custom shop...But their guitars run many 1000's of bucks...they are Amazing guitars. I think ESP pretty much improves on everything, which isn't hard to do If your paying as much as you are, and which is also why they have a bunch of players using their stuff
i totally agree on the rip of fthingy. grabbing a jackson and a ESP and comparing them, the jackson feels so much more "complete", so much more authentic.
@MParseface38 I know what you mean... I own a Jackson Demmelition King V.. (The Real one :P) and before I bought that I picked up an ESP SV, and it felt kinda, Unfinished....
holy shit the chonchorde has a tilted neck :P

@zachlava They are actually pretty solid. Don't expect them to be Duncans, but they hold up.
