  • Wonderful musical performance!

  • yeay joe!!!

  • excelent, congrats ;)

  • @dilibau It's probably the quality of your ears and your lack of experience playing a stringed instrument. Otherwise, you would understand the amount of heart that goes into learning a piece as challenging as this, Romanian or not.

  • @dilibau That doesn't mean you are any tiny bit close to understand the musicallity of any of them, or any bunch of other romanian composers, or any composer\player from anywhere on the world! :)

  • @juan486 dude, this tune has its unique Romanian features...stop babbling if you don't know how we sing it... musicality my ass, this needs to be played "sprintar", which means fast, joyful and also relaxed. If he can't do it, it's not my fault, but I've listened to a lot of Romanian folk songs (unlike you, probably) so I would know. It's like I'd try teaching you how to play Albeniz...jeeez

  • you know youre up against heifitz, rabin, and menuhin with this piece?

you are very brave to put this video up, but well done nonetheless

  • Great!!!!! Go Joey!!!

  • not the best performance. I can't hear real notes. The tempo is all over the place. Very good bow technique, though! Oh, come on, you can't get upset. It's probably just a bad recording

  • Can someone give me some tips how to make that up spiccato and down spiccato bow stroke please?

  • In the video, it's not spiccato it's staccato

  • @celloWiz10 ok smarty pants, can you help me in that or not? if you cant just dont say anything

  • Staccato is a sequence of fast martelé strokes in the same bow direction.

You have three motions available. Try all three to find which one is easiest for you.

    1. Rotation of your forearm (pronation)

    2. Tremelo motion in your wrist (more for violin than cello)

    3. Pinching the bow between your index finger and thumb (same, not as much for cello as violin)

Practice staccato for a few minutes every day over a long period of time. This way

you will train your hand to play very fast up bow staccato.

  • @celloWiz10 Now we are talking, thank you so much man and I will try to find the one that suits me the best. Best wishes

  • Joe, Awesome job and you play heavy metal guitar also? You are amazing!!

  • awesome

  • Well played and performed :) really nice

  • Before you tell you someone to not do something as impressive as this, do something worthwhile first.

    Bravo, great playing!

  • Not good! but great LOL! hahaha

  • Not the best :D ;)

  • Yeah, Joe! You look completely relaxed. Amazing. You gotta do another recital at good 'ol AU Berrien.

  • I never heard this before on the Cello... it sounds great !!!

  • serious bow control o.o great job~
