i love this scene, except for one part. "i tried so hard to free you"... really? REALLY? that was trying hard?

like i said, this scene is good, except i wish there had been a little more of a fight to get a noose around raul's neck.

anyway, all thier voices sound AMAZING in this scene. i keep listeneing to it on the soundtrack.

haha, i agree. I mean, i don't dislike Roul and all (I'm more of an Erik fan) But, really, how many times was he told to keep his hand at the level of his eyes? He didn't listen, and look where that got him XD

I think though that that may be a part of the problem-- in some dark, twisted part of her soul, she DOES love the Phantom, except that most of her, the part she lives with day-to-day, loves Raoul -- Phantom can't stand this, he'd kill Raoul so that Christine would be his absolutely and completely (or so he thinks, anyway). But true, the Phantom truly does not know when to quit.

raoul is a wimp, he gets caught so easily! he has to be rescued by christine! omg that look of hope he had when christine came back, only to give him the ring. if i were her i would have stayed with erik from the beginning. HE'S THE BEST!!!

Who is Erik? There is no one by that name in the cast. Gerard Butler plays Phantom, and Patrick Wilson is Raoul. Maybe you were thinking of one of those?

I have a question, and I'm not trying to be rude or obnoxious here, but if she didn't love Erik but had to choose him to save Raoul, then what would stop her from, I don't know, killing him in his sleep? I mean, if she wanted to be with Raoul, but he was forcing her to marry him, wouldn't it just make sense in a sadistic sort of way?Again, I'm not dumping on Erik, I actually prefer him to Raoul, but I don't think much forthought went into his plans.

Well to put it simply Erik is a mad genius. From being under ground for most of his life and ridiculed for most of his life his reflexes and senses would be enhanced...so Christine trying to kill him in his sleep would be pointless. She is no match for his strength especially when he's angry. And besides at this point Erik had to think quickly to try and get Christine to stay so threatening her was the only way he could think of.

I love this scene. The passion is awesome! I have to be honest, I think I would have gone with the phantom. Yes, the character is creepy. Raoul loves her of course! I don't know what I would do in the situation, having to choose one just 1. but there is a huge connection with the Ghost!

hm, has anyone thought that maybe she turned out to be a very bad kisser and that made him change his mind about her after she agreed to stay with him. maybe he was crying of disappointment :))))))) just a thought :)))
