just ordered The aimtrak. I was waiting for you to post this vid to see how it worked. I also found the same gun you have on ebay for 7 bucks shipped. cant wit for it to come in. how was the process of mounting the module? and soldering involved?ect ect. Awesome vide as always.
@androtaz05 Easy. No soldering at all. I hot glue'd the gun sensor inside the gun and double sided taped the LED reader to the backside of the bezel after cutting out some slots for them. It's all plug and play. Follow the directions on the site in the video description and you'll be all set.
how do they play on games like revolution x, T2, and alien 3 the gun? Cause those games you hold the trigger button down for auto fire, since you say when you hold the trigger button for 5 sec you go into calibration mode... is there a way to change this setting? like say a button on your keyboard for calibration mode? (without swithing the trigger and button 1 like you did)
The aiming technology is very similar to how the Wiimore tracks. The LEDs at the top are infrared LEDs just like in the Wii sensor bar. Nice part is this works on modern monitors and TVs unlike something like say the NES zapper which is very hit or miss on if it works or not on newer stuff. Kind of neat to see the technology evolve.
I see you're using a CRT monitor, does these guns work well with LCD screen ?

@kevenzz These won't work on an LCD screen. I think the newer versions of the Aimtrak will, but I don't think this one does.

do you think it would fit into a zapper nintendo entertainment system version

Why not just buy a light gun instead?

how about using it for PSone games like Time Crisis etc?
obv, if you've gutted the G-Con, it won't have all the buttons - but it's only missing one, aint it?
not sure how many of the PSone shooters used all 3 buttons
