I think when CoH added the PvP factor, it killed the game. i had to go over to Eve Online for the fun stuff.

It did for a little while but then it got better in other ways, and though some of the fun from the old era is gone, lots more new fun. :D

More power sets, more character slots(altitis yay!), lots of quality of life features and now coming soon the mission architect. Make your own missions with your own baddies.

The game is a lot better now than when I started (2005/i4). When Matt Miller (Positron) took over, the game really, really started to improve. I think i9 is when things really picked up steam... Really, too much stuff to fit into this little space!

PVP is very, very ignorable, so I'm not sure how that might've killed the game.

Agreed, its really getting better. Issue 13 just released new power set, and several other new elements. Issue 14 will be monumental with User-Created experiences.

Also, though I don't PvP, they made significant changes to it in Issue 13 to make it more appealing and better balanced.

CoH/CoV has WOW beat in graffic, character creation, power select and modification, PVE, PVP, variety of zones and gameplay, and content from start to finish. The only thing WOW is better at than CoX is the only thing it doest have, perfesions, and I never liked those in the first place. Dont mean to bash WOW, just my opinion that CoX is better.

You must have at least two costume slots. You start with one, and can get another at 20,30,40. (Also the Hallowe'en event allows you to get an additional one). You can use the command /cc0 or /cc1 etc, to switch costumes. In this vid, it looks like he macro'ed a costume change with a teleport. I've done similar, using the Build-Up power.
