  • MOMP at :58 and the man in the cape in the next pic is Reverend Moon. God Loves Joe Cain

  • I just want to point out: Mobile was PART of Louisiana at one time.

    Carry on fighting.

  • It goes without saying.....You're right, but anyone who's up on their history should already know that fact. New Orleans and Mobile are "sister" cities separated at birth, like it or not! Lassiez le bon ton roule'! Geaux Saints, Geaux.

  • Exactly. We even have the same STREET names for crying out loud.

Let's face it, we might be the "Mother of Mystics," but NOLA draws the crowds and does a darned fine job of keeping the spirit alive.

You said sister cities? More like separated siamese twins, each with her own personality!

  • The song,s lyrics "traveled down to New Orleans, taught them how to make some noise" must be a joke ! what is it referring to; music, songs, brass bands and secondline parades, etc. ? In history, what did Mobile contribute to N.O. in the

way of high spirit celebrating as in world reknowned musicians, singers, songs, jazz, and the like ? New Orleans is KNOWN for it's high-spirited lifestyle and

culture. If Mobile taught N.O., why are N.O.s mardi gras souvenirs more popular than Mobile's ?

  • Fighting, puking on the street, flashing, is partying ?????????????????? LOL, Unfortunetly that's one reason no is more popular, it's just the state of the nation. Fact is, if it weren't for some Mobilians no wouldn't be perverting Mardi Gras.

  • @TitaniumByFire I agree with you about a lot of what you say, at least N.O. mardi gras isn't as bad as some northern cities have experienced in the past i.e. Philadelphia, Seattle etc. with rioting, vandalism and other disorderly actions. New Orleans has more attractions than just mardi gras in it's favor, there's lots of reasons New Orleans is more popular at that time of year, not just because of it's rowdiness. You have to factor in the music, food, culture and traditions, uniqueness etc.

Nice use of Alabama logo as the song says "Alabama!" Roll Tide.

  • I'm totally learning this song for next year's Mardi Gras gigs.....

  • Nice!
