  • At least two lines of descent are observable, which meet with all their branches in the present core region of the Kurds. Already since the 3rd millenium BC the Sumerians, Babylonians and, somewhat later, the Assyrians as well, provided mutually concordant reports of peoples in the central and northern Zagros mountains who were known as 'Guti,' 'Qurti,' 'Kurtie' or something similar and whose region was known as 'Gutium' or 'Kardaka'

  • The fall of Nineveh shocked the ancient world. The Jewish prophet Nahum described the Median armies advancing to the city that had once ruled the Near East.

An attacker advances against you, Nineveh. [...]

    The shields of his soldiers are red;

the warriors are clad in scarlet.

The metal on the chariots flashes

    on the day they are made ready;

the spears of pine are brandished.

The chariots storm through the streets,

rushing back and forth through the squares

  • Zoroaster's birth as 6000 years before the birth of Christ or 5000 years before the war of Troy or 6000 years before invasion of Greece by Xerex, it is definite that in his third volume Lertius has dropped a zero from the birthday and this error has led to all this chaos in the history. Since we know that Grecian historiographers had access to written Babylonian and Persian calendars, we can rely on their integrity that the prophet was born in 6184 B.C. and died in the year 6107 B.C.

  • Mahabad is believed to be a pre-Zoroastrian Prophet and may be an alternative name for Adam.[1] He is also called "Azar Hooshang" (the Fire of Wisdom).

He was the first of fifteen successive prophets, the thirteenth of whom was Zoroaster and the last was Sasan, from whom the Sassanid Dynasty may be supposed to trace their descent. Their writings are said to be collected in the Dasatir-i-Asmani.

The Paiman-i-Farhang (Excellent Covenant) is Mahabads code of laws.

  • My hope is that Iranistan will be Zoroastrian again and that we can be good neighbours like cousins with Kurdistan.

  • nice and important video for any kurdish they estabished hakbatan( hamedan today) after unitted of median tribes and manneanstribles( were an ancient people who lived in the territory of present-day Iran and Azerbaijan, around the 10th to 7th centuries BC. At that time they were neighbors of the empires of Assyria and Urartu, as well as other small buffer states between the two, such as Musasir and Zikirta.) there homland south urmia lack theu unaited with media to established media kingdom

  • Kurds have their own province in Iran. And what about in Iraq or Turkey? I love visiting our Kurdish brothers and sisters in Kurdistan (Land of the Kurds) and I don't think that resentment towards Persians is justified, even though I wish Kurds did have their own land. Peace and Love

  • @iiNDiTC We DO HAVE ower own land :) we don't have our own country..there 2 different things...cuz our land is occupied as we speak..by persians, arabs and mongol turks

  • @iiNDiTC the Province you talk about is ONLY less than 1/4 of Whole Iranian Occupied Kurdistan!

  • @xSouthxKURDISTAN No its like 1/5 lol :D But yeah true, I wont say thank you, before we get ALL our stolen land back.

  • @Sarezh998

I must ask you, as an outsider on this conflict, when was this land "stolen" and where is it?

  • @Andreazor it was stolen when british occupation divided the Middleeast..go learn some history ..son

  • @Andreazor Actually it was stolen approxmiately 900 years ago by mongol invaders.

  • @iiNDiTC I agree, I think Persians and Kurds should work together, afterall, they are both virtually the same! (speak nearly identical language, descendants from same people), I think true Persians hate Iran as much as Kurds hate Turks probably, the current regime of Iran is a very, VERY dark spot in history for all Iranians, doesn't matter if you are Kurd, Persian, Gilaki, Lur etc etc...

  • @MrDiem2 the two of you need to be careful when you say "wish Kurds have their own land" WE DO HAVE our land KURDISTAN...if you mean having our own country..then thats different..and it is going to happen..sooner or later..after that all brothers are welcome

  • At the very least the Kurdish nation richly and rightfully deserves it's complete cultural and political independence from Iraq, otherwise the entire invasion of that harmless divided religious-fascist British created monstrosity has been utterly wasted.

  • @urlborg true

  • unfortunately arabs and turks are not so noble and human as one would like...they don't want to give back kurdish freedom that was stolen by the british rednecks ans delivered on a golden dish to those cruel nations around us...and they are really good at opressing and undermining the wonderful peaceful nation of the Kurds...FREE KURDISTAN

  • whats the name of the song?

  • you are right men

  • Hello, folks, how could you explain the genetic similarity of Kurds (with all my respect and sympathy) and the descendants of the ancient peoples of K'na'an (modern sephardic, ashkenazic and mizrahi Jews)? I've gone through a lot of reading about this matter.

  • Where did you get that kurds and descendants of the ancient peoples of K'na'an have some similarity in genetic? Want to read it too. Maybe I can answer it later.

  • kurds are not geneticly related to sephardic jews.just to ashkenazic and mizrahi Jews thats because of the Hurrians admixture which were a Caucasian nation jsut like Ashkenazis came from south Russia. even the early Medians were a mixture between caucasic and iranic people.Even the first median king daicos was an mannäen median.the Median lands were like a Confederation of many nations like lulubis gutians Hurrians Mannaeans many Scythic tribes etc thats why kurds claim on so many ancestory

  • Kurds claim Median ancestery...dont confuse yourself and others..

  • Are you serious? Kurds are closer to Sephardic Jews than to Ashkenazis.

  • yeah man

  • efie, efie dast xosh bra!

  • Assyrians think about their history+the empire sometimes! therefore we know that they never can beeeee usefull! for Kurdistan and Kurdish nation! Asssyrian history=genocides against the Kurdish nation! Assyrians must leave kurdistan and desapear.

  • G33KN3rd our best neighbor was Assyrian in Slemany! they originaly were from Nineveh! There 2 Assyrian groupes! The Kurdistanian Assyrians VS The Arablover+Ba'thi Assyrians(anti-kurdish)

  • Can the Assyrians help you Kurds make Kurdistan for we Assyrians are bored and want to fight against the Arabs and Turks that hate both our guts.

  • nice comment..

  • Wanna know something weird? Muhammad the prophet wrote a fatwa saying to ensure the protection of the Assyrian people, then the ni**er Turks destroyed the fatwa and killed us with the Armenians in the Assyrian-Armenian Genocide; WHICH THE TURKS DENY!

  • so true..

  • geeknerd

im glad that your not brainwashed like mot of the 15 year old assyrians that come on youtube

they make it seem like that assyrians and kurds hate one another

ofcource they have never been to the middle east

because if they had they would see the true enemy

the arabs who have bombed 41 monostaries and churches since saddams death and the turks who made you go through a genocide

  • hay bro, i know nothing between kurds and assyrians :S are you against us or for us?

  • first aryan ppl came from what is now afghanistan

  • nice..when was that? do you have a time estimate?

  • RaterxPrince you are right

  • [[Ancient Kurds were called Gutians! they were the first Arian nation who entered Middle east from Central Asia, during the time of Sumerians. Gutians spread themselves and later Gutians of the North were called Mitannis! and Gutians of the south were called Medes!

During Alexander the Great Medes were called Kurdos (Warriors) and this name became the name of the Medes(early Gutians) until now!

  • RaterXPrince yes i say this! but we came from Central Asia! we like it or not this is the truth.

  • I know..it's the way you said it...you should rather have said "we originally -thousand years BC- came from...etc.." not "our homeland is...etc" in Law each term counts and the way we state our minds counts for aloooot!

  • KeyXesrew=Kurdish name (Cyxares) Mandana=Kurdish name Frawarti=Kurdish name Eji-Dehak=Kurdish name Aspadana(Isfahan)=Kurdish name Hamadan=Kurdish Name. TewRez=Kurdish name Zncan=Kurdish name. Shahre Kord of Bakhtyari province=Kurdish Name. Erdebil=Kurdish name. Washukani=Kurdish name Awesta=Kurdish name Amed=Kurdish name...... Kurdistan=kurdistan+Iranian Azerbaijan+Luristan+Bakhtyari it was so great.

  • Our Homeland is Central Asia the Area between Tajikistan to India! we still look like Afghans,Tajiks.... while we never look like Georgians or Caucasians. Urartians+Hurrians+Nairi Were one nation (ancestos of Armenians). We are those 3 Arian Tribes of one Nation. No one of you here knows better things about Kurds than me! you have to beleive me because im from the liberated Kurdistan too.

  • Correction: Our homeland is Kurdistan...the land of the Ancient and Modern Kurds..

  • Urartu+Hurrian...... were not us! put it out from your brains! WE are 3 Ancient *Arian Tribes already Mitanni+Mid+Guti until now we are such!. + We are Mixed with Hattites+Elamites and it is normal!. Our Oldest Language is Avesta.+ Kurdmanji has many sounds which are 100% As Indian! Neh,Guhdar.... many others. Put this Caucasian+Hurrian things out of your Culture.

  • This beleive about Hurrians! it not true! Hurrians were a caucasian people as Armenians! They spoke a language close to Georgian!-------> How much can we Kurds understand Georgian (0)how much can we Kurds understand Persian+Tajiki+Afghani (10% or much more). Hurrians were Nairis--> Armenians but they became Kurds because of Mittani Medes who controlled their land.!

Our Culture+Language is not Caucasian it is Indo-Europian!

  • Kurdish ancestors= Mittanis=Kurdmanjis (mittanis came from Iranian Kurdistan (Atropatakan),+Medes-->soranis + Gutians=Gurani kurds. That is all all those 3 tribes were the Same! and later ---> as we are now! Washukani,Amed,Bestun,Tewrez,Hespedana,Karkok... are our oldest cities!

  • Good Comment..

  • Vladimir Minorsky stated that the Kurds are the descendants of the ancient Medes. According to him There is no doubt that the term Mar (Medians) refers to Kurds. Furthermore he writes that in the curious Armenian manuscript containing samples of alphabets and languages, written some time before A.D. 1446, a prayer in Kurdish figures as specimen of the language of the Medians''.[4][5].

    [wikipedia. org/wiki/Benutzer:KureCewlik81Kurdische_Geschichte]

  • Kurdish Empires: Gutia,Media,Mitanni,Ayubid,Zan d,50% of Sasanid Empire, 50% of Achaemenid Empire (Median-Persian).

  • According to the Encyclopaedia Kurdistanica, Kurds are the descendants of all those who have historically settled in Kurdistan, not of any one particular group. A people such as the Guti (Kurti), Mede, Mard, Carduchi(Gordyaei), Adiabene, Zila and Khaldi signify not the ancestor of the Kurds but only one ancestor.

  • All of these peoples shared a common identity and spoke one language or closely related languages or dialects. These groups are thought to have been non-Indo-Europeans, apart from the original Mitanni leadership. Kurds consider themselves to be Indo-European as well as descendants of the above groups.

  • In their own histories, they are proud to mention the Hurrian period in the mid third millennium BC as the earliest well documented period. The 3rd millennium was the time of the Guti and Hattians. The 2nd and 1st millennium BC were the time of the Kassites, Mitanni, Mannai (Mannaeans), Urartu, and Mushku.

  • These settlements date back to between the 5th and 2nd millennium B.C., and include 24 levels of civilizations including Halaf and Ubaid. This site includes an acropolis with monumental remains and fine architecture.

  • The earliest known evidence of a unified and distinct culture (and possibly, ethnicity) by people inhabiting the Kurdish mountains dates back to the Halaf culture of 6,000 BC to 5,400 BC. This was followed by the spread of the Ubaidian culture, which was a foreign introduction from Mesopotamia. In 1927, Ephraim Speiser discovered remains of ancient Halaf and Ubaid settlements in Tepe Gewre (Great Mound) 24 km northeast of Mosul.

  • With regard to the origin of the Kurds, it was formerly considered sufficient to describe them as the descendants of the Carduchi, who opposed the retreat of the Ten Thousand through the mountains in the 4th century BC. Modern research traces them far beyond the period of the ancient Greeks.[1] However, there is evidence of more ancient settlements in the region of Kurdistan.
