  • why can't I find clips of the david lynch movie on youtube no more? I call bullshit corporatism and greed. But yeah, that was kinda cool. I really wanted to see that scene where he says "long live the fighter!" without actually popping in the dvd.

  • FRANK HERBERTS DUNE.

STEAL MY RESOURCES CORPRATE DUCHEBAGS i WILL SLIT YOUR THROAT!

  • HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHHAHAHH HOPLY SHIT SO FUNNY ITS TOOOOOOOO FUNNY OSNT* WBT(FSFU CKFICKUCKC

  • Sure, they can buy a lot of things, but many of them are not officially legal. ^^

    Like atom-bombs, or Stone-Burner.

  • Is that..... Gimly?!?

  • @poukichi Yup.

  • Amazing Atreides telescopes. they not only let you see things that're far away, they also let you hear them!

  • Thats one squeeky voiced Freman.

  • i disagree the harkonnen are well better suited to storm arakis for the baron

  • the weeker my ass, the Ordos kicked the Harkonnen's and the Atreides ass along with the Emperor's

  • That must be a very good telescope. He can even hear things far away with it!

  • @ClownUnit02 well... future technology, who knows :P

  • @ClownUnit02 You know that they've hade peribolic microphones since the early nineties right? Dune is set in the far future; surely they've improved on 20th century survailence tech.

  • @TheKNH86 I dunno about that. Frank Herbert died in 1986...

  • @ClownUnit02 And you think a crude version didn't exist? Hell, Robert Heinline basically created the concept of powered armor suits (take that, Gundam and Halo) in the mid-50's, H.G. Well predicted balistic missile launching subs in one book and nukes in another one both written in the early 20th. I think you should give the man more credit.

  • @TheKNH86 But Herbert had nothing to do with this game.

  • @ClownUnit02 Then Westwood had an inovative thinker on the team, obviously. And why change the topic?

  • Well, Jules Verne wrote about submarines and in his time it was ridiculous.

  • @TheKNH86

They do not, because of Butlers Jihad.

Thats why they have Mentats like him, and no computers.

And why no one likes and trust the technicians from the planet IX.

  • @Usul75 Oh, they trust Ix and Richese well enough to let them be the only ones to build devices more complicated that time-activated coffee makers. That scope is clear-enough to be of Ixian manufacture. The Butlerian Jihad might prohibit "thinking machines", but things like the Hunter-Seeker are permitted; it matters not whether that is explicitly or implicitly. A peribolic microphone combined with a high-magnification spyglass is too useful a device to not be availible to paying customers.

  • While mentat-dwarf Gimli Hawat talks, Legolas Idaho is riding an Oliworm to save the life of Indiana Halleck from the Harkonnen Nazi troops...

    sorry, got a little confused...

  • ahah, good joke! XD

  • Thanks! I usually have to explain my jokes, they are so twisted that I always shut up, but this time I couldn't help!! :P :D

  • This made me LOL to no end. But when did Orlando Bloom play Duncan Idaho?

  • Good question! I'm still confused about it, I can't remember if he really plays Indiana Idaho or Legolas Jones...; perhaps was played by Billy Crystal, he did it well at the spoof in the Oscars!

  • good one :)

  • Well if it aint the mentat dwarf Gimli :)

  • But what about Indiana Jones Sir

  • Ya Hya Chouhada! Bi Lal Kaifa.

  • Is that Gimli ?

  • Yep. John-Rhys Davies ftw.

  • Oh, Professor Arturo. Where have you slid off to now?

  • is he in Arakeen City?

  • YAY! WE WIN! DO I GET TO EAT LOLLIES NOW?

    (sheesh)

  • cheesy. lol

  • eee. The end was a bit strange :)

  • @nutherefurlong I cringe. The end was just... wrong.
