The iron truck V10 stopped production in 02. They dropped the 5.2L for the 4.7L(hemi jr) that year as well. 03 saw the 5.9 dropped (some still available) for the 5.7hemi, following year the RAM SRT10 was released with the Viper V10/8L, 05 the Ram/SRT10 increased to 8.3L. The 3.9L V6 was replaced with a stronger 3.7L V6.

Few facts. CL63 should be low/mid 12 sec 1/4m et. New the SRT10Ram should be in the 12.9-13.4 range (stick takes driver skill). Seems that this track is at higher elevation & both drivers are inexperienced (Ram spun in 1st & 2nd). The Ram driver also stopped accellerating after the 1/4m seeing he trapped the same speed. Both the car & truck have a top speed of 155mph. AMG 4697lbs, Ram 5130lb, AMG has much lower drag coeff which costs et/mph for the truck beyond 70mph. AMG CL63 is $150k, Ram $52k

Well the Mercedes was obviously the best out of those two. Not just for drag racing but luxury, safety, style and that dodge would be absolutely pants in the corners, the dodge also has a cheap plastics inside which makes it a horrible car to sit in. this is the only thing the dodge would be good in and still failed.
