Yes I believe this is great topic of truth and you speak well and from the heart , I think the problem of self awareness is really the problem of feeling anothers pain and understanding that its the pain that is inside me that i don't want to be aware of.

I thought the video production and creativity were extremely high quality. I found the intention admirable. The journey to know oneself, i.e. self-awareness, is a life long endeavor. Having said that, and after decades of pursuit involving self knowledge, I've found most, if not all, of what I need. I'll be stopping in to see what you have to offer and perhaps comment.

awareness is relative to who we are, we all play a key role in expanding human consciousness.
my thoughts for anyone looking for a good firm safe stone to start on would be meditation. the slow approach is always the best approach when it comes to becoming aware, you cant force it anymore then you can force the sun to come up faster. when meditating time your breathes by counting to 3 in your mind while inhaling and while exhaling. eventually stop concentrating, each experience is different.
pick the most relaxing place for YOU, no sounds, no tv, no ipod, no radio, no computer, that stuff wont help you. clear your head of the clutter, all that unwanted baggage is bullshit,
dont think about how mad you are and have a mini drama party in your head. the only way to move forward is to not move at all, just relax, be part of your environment, and imagine yourself floating weightlessly. don't think of anything else but floating.just remember patience is key. this is a sturdy path...
you are doing a good thing for the public.perhaps we need not to worry about ourselves so much, but our neighbor. That would be real progress.
as for selfawareness ,ther are many ways to practice. I went barefoot for a year to learn mind control. It took several years of suffering depressions before i learned to manage emotions. Mind and emotion is where most of us get caught up in.

First he advises to look inside yourself for "awareness", later he says that you can find this same "awareness" from many external resources. Why so unclear? There is a difference between new age and spiritual. While spiritual can apply to many different philosophies and ideologies, when you strip away religion the only label left is spirituality. There is a big difference btwn seeking within & having spiritual or paranormal experiences vs swallowing the new age paradigm. It was designed to lead astray the very people on the path to spiritual awakening. I see it for what it is. The new agers are mostly blind with good intentions.
I disagree. The New Age movement is an attempt to yes, strip away religion from Spirituality, but to further infuse it with ancient mystery school teachings, which in themselves are a fraud. I don't see how you can strip religion away from spirituality, when it was born from religion. It's like subtracting Math from Physics, it's just impossible and not logical. Most new-agers yes are blind with good intentions, but this video series is an example of it, taking advantage of the weaker minded.
Further, spiritual awareness can be very clear & defined through direct experience. The challenge is in bringing memory of multi-dimensional experiences back & then trying to use words to describe it to others, that there aren't yet words invented to describe... but possible to some degree.

Great teachers come from all over the world, are of different races, from different cultures and are themselves associated with their specific beliefs. The quote you are referring to is from Marianne Williamson, and was used by Nelson Mandela in his inauguration speech. I shared it because it inspires me personally and related to something that was asked/said.
This is a series dedicated to personal development through becoming more self aware. There are lessons that have been taught by many before me, and will be taught by many after. Were some of those teachers "religious"? Yes, were some not religious? Yes. Does their religious association or lack thereof make their message any less applicable? That will ultimately be up to you.
Many ideas found in the Christian bible are accurate and in harmony with spirituality. It is no surprise to find someone who is spiritual would speak of something found in the bible.
Right, but what you're arguing is that the Christian Religion and the Concept of Spirituality are somehow equal, or that Spirituality is greater than and encompasses Christianity, whereas in Truth it is the opposite; Christianity being the parent of what we know to be Spirituality. I believe that any way the message that there is no such thing as being a victim, that each of us is responsible for our own happiness or lack thereof, that each of us creates our own "reality," that in fact, we are all One, is a message that needs to be put out in as many ways as each one can understand (a different strokes for different folks sort of thing). Yes I believe this is great topic of truth and you speak well and from the heart , I think the problem of self awareness is really the problem of feeling anothers pain and understanding that its the pain that is inside me that i don't want to be aware of.

I thought the video production and creativity were extremely high quality. I found the intention admirable. The journey to know oneself, i.e. self-awareness, is a life long endeavor. Having said that, and after decades of pursuit involving self knowledge, I've found most, if not all, of what I need. I'll be stopping in to see what you have to offer and perhaps comment.

awareness is relative to who we are, we all play a key role in expanding human consciousness.
my thoughts for anyone looking for a good firm safe stone to start on would be meditation. the slow approach is always the best approach when it comes to becoming aware, you cant force it anymore then you can force the sun to come up faster. when meditating time your breathes by counting to 3 in your mind while inhaling and while exhaling. eventually stop concentrating, each experience is different.

pick the most relaxing place for YOU, no sounds, no tv, no ipod, no radio, no computer, that stuff wont help you. clear your head of the clutter, all that unwanted baggage is bullshit,
dont think about how mad you are and have a mini drama party in your head. the only way to move forward is to not move at all, just relax, be part of your environment, and imagine yourself floating weightlessly. don't think of anything else but floating.just remember patience is key. this is a sturdy path...

as for selfawareness ,ther are many ways to practice. I went barefoot for a year to learn mind control. It took several years of suffering depressions before i learned to manage emotions. Mind and emotion is where most of us get caught up in.

It's somewhat sad yet at the same time clearly evident to me based on a few of the cynical comments I read that although everyone needs and can benefit from this form of information, few really "get that fact" and choose, rather than contribute to somehow denigrate and down those who are making a significant contribution.

So... if it's not a specific religion but it is spiritual... what exactly is it then? If you know him so well, explain all the conflicting ideology, please. First he advises to look inside yourself for "awareness", later he says that you can find this same "awareness" from many external resources. Why so unclear? Would it be so surprising if all the stuff I "find in myself" is what he defines as self-awareness? How am I unique as he says then? Explain those conflicts. So Unclear = Not Genuine.

There is a difference between new age and spiritual. While spiritual can apply to many different philosophies and ideologies, when you strip away religion the only label left is spirituality. There is a big difference btwn seeking within & having spiritual or paranormal experiences vs swallowing the new age paradigm. It was designed to lead astray the very people on the path to spiritual awakening. I see it for what it is. The new agers are mostly blind with good intentions.

I disagree. The New Age movement is an attempt to yes, strip away religion from Spirituality, but to further infuse it with ancient mystery school teachings, which in themselves are a fraud. I don't see how you can strip religion away from spirituality, when it was born from religion. It's like subtracting Math from Physics, it's just impossible and not logical. Most new-agers yes are blind with good intentions, but this video series is an example of it, taking advantage of the weaker minded.

Further, spiritual awareness can be very clear & defined through direct experience. The challenge is in bringing memory of multi-dimensional experiences back & then trying to use words to describe it to others, that there aren't yet words invented to describe... but possible to some degree.
Research is not the issue. It's that there is a difference between spirituality/awareness and new age foo foo nonsense. You are correct, just not fully aware of the level of spirituality I was commenting on.

How can you define multidimensional experiences w/o words to describe it? Please explain that point if possible. The most enlightened people have spoken of such things, but it has never in thousands of years been clear and defined. Research is the issue; if you think that the concept of spiritual awareness and the new age movement are not connected and one in the same, you haven't done any research. I am fully aware of that spiritual level, you're just wrong. Truth is not dependent on "level".

The quote you are referring to is from Marianne Williamson, and was used by Nelson Mandela in his inauguration speech. Right, but what you're arguing is that the Christian Religion and the Concept of Spirituality are somehow equal, or that Spirituality is greater than and encompasses Christianity, whereas in Truth it is the opposite; Christianity being the parent of what we know to be Spirituality. Furthermore grabbing teachings from both the spiritual and the atheist is contradictory. neverk1111 You wrote, "If he (Jesus) is love how could he be ok with this?" God was not okay with sin. He came down in the flesh (Jesus) to save the world from hell. That's unconditional love. Jesus died, shed His blood on the Cross that we should all live. Before Jesus, the whole world was condemned to hell. How simple is it to escape hell now. It's as simple as accepting the gift Jesus' gift of Salvation. People will have to walk across Jesus' blood to get to hell now. God is Love.

You speak with the conviction of someone who witnessed the events written in that loose collection of writtings called the bible? If you were to say that you had some "divine" encounter during which this was revealed to you I could at least respect the originality of your "knowledge", but alas you sadly are parroting the words of those who have inculcated you. Who knows maybe there is a magic man that is pure love who will happily let souls experience eternal pain for being nonchristian?

nevek1111- If God told you there is only one way to Him, & that would be through a door & one door only, would you try to crawl through a window instead? God came down in the flesh & allowed Himself to be persecuted, mocked & crucified to save our souls. Some people who saw the miracles of Jesus, then, didn't want to believe, & some won't believe now. So, it's not about your need to see, for proof. It's about you wanting to do as you see fit, be disobedient & not have to pay a price for it.

If you substituted Bigfoot for god above no one would have any problem considering you unsane - whats the difference? You ask me" if God told me YADAYADA" Did "he tell you? Again you are simply repeating your trainers catch phrases - painfully so I would add. I am not seeking proof of anything as you suggest. I have a metaphysical viewpoint but unlike religionists of all ilks - yourself included I am not convinced that it is the "only" answer.

By the way LOVE IS LOVE. God if you believe in such a thing is apparently everything HATE, PAIN, FEAR and all its derivitives included. Unless of course you believe in the everything warm and fuzzy god?

nevek1111- Are you a part of the New Age Movement? Or do you believe that you are your own personal god. It's all about you, right? You are your own creator, right? Let me say this: If you create anything, it's using the material God's already supplied. I love it when atheists come against people who believe in God, but they can't prove there isn't a God. From what did the universe come? Did something explode and out jumped a bunch of monkeys? That's what I thought. You don't know :-)

Once again you have failed to provide any sort of answer to the many questions I have posed you. I will however answer yours. No I am not part of the new age movement and no I dont believe I am my own personal god. My definition of a god however differs quite a bit from yours I'm sure. If by chance you actually know what an Atheist is then you would agree that a failure to recognize a grey bearded, sandled patriarch in the sky does not make one devoid of metaphysical musings.

Nevek1111 - What is your definition of a god? There are gods galore, but there's only one True God and He's the Creator of all. Even the shoes you wear was made from His creation. What kind of metaphysical musings do you subscribe to? Zeus? Muhammad? Buddha? Obama? I threw that last one there for fun.

Beware of the New Age Movement and there me-me-me-awareness. This is the same New Age religious self-centered bologna Oprah Winfrey is pushing. The New Agers are looking for a one world government, unity of all religions and a one world leader called Maitreya; etc. All one has to do is study the Bible for the right way to live. This self-awareness bologna is meant to take the place of God Word. Healings & blessings come from God-our creator, not from self. Man needs God. Man is not God.

I love the idea that we do need to share our experiences with others, so others can learn from them. I too (like springchickn) get my source from Jesus..."He's the Way, Truth, and Life" (John 14:6) via His Word-Scripture-Bible-through prayer. Upon what do you base your idea of what is good? I get my inspiration from God via the Bible. I do not believe I can get truth from other sources. I am interested in being inspired by Jesus, not from nice stories that only make me feel temporarily cheery. Thanks anyway.
