that bassline is sampled from Moments Of Soul by JT & The Big Family it is slowed down for the Rave On Remix but thats what it was from originally by the end of 1990 nearly every dance pop outfit had sampled it inc Chad Jacksons Hear The Drummer Get Wicked and Queen Latifah
answer to the question below......the song in question is 'living for the money' by queen latifah off new jack city soundtrack........believe it or not she actually nicked it off the Mondays! Their influence spread much further than just Longsight, manchester
Absolute stonker of a tune not heard this for at least 15 years.....can anyone help with this question:
At the beginning of this track the bass line was nicked off the soundtrack to one of those late 80's south central style gangster films (something like New jack city or boyz n da hood), but i cant find the track anywhere on the net...does anyone know which tune the bassline was sampled from? I will be VERY impressed if someone knows this!
Never, it certainly should be. I think this and Club Mix of Hallelujah, which is on the other side of this 12", were the best versions of Mondays songs ever done. Brilliant early Paul Oakenfold remixes.
most pleasant tunage....

Glad to be of assistance-It is very annoying that this is not on the greatest hits-To create this I bought the track off Napster.
