Years since I had the original 12"

    RavEon Folks

  • is this the terry farley mix ?

  • thankyou for the upload!

  • The bass line is a sample...its off O'Jays Love of Money. "money money money monnnneeey" Happy Mondays at their finest..RAVE ON!

  • AGES AHEAD!!

  • bassline kick ass

  • No I haven't. Is it on you tube?

  • Ive always thought the bass line is based on "For the love of money" by the Ojay's

  • that bassline is sampled from Moments Of Soul by JT & The Big Family it is slowed down for the Rave On Remix but thats what it was from originally by the end of 1990 nearly every dance pop outfit had sampled it inc Chad Jacksons Hear The Drummer Get Wicked and Queen Latifah

  • Spot on!

  • Sorry Mate your well wrong, its sampled from Love of money O'Jays, and a fine sample too.

  • Pure quality. Have to say though, the club mix of Hallelujah is probably my favourite Mondays tune.

  • oakey doakey in full effect

  • Yeah man! Didn't he do the wrote for luck remix. I think it's the think about the future mix.

  • great tune m8 fuckin great..

  • Kwality!

  • where's it all gone? ?

  • answer to the question below......the song in question is 'living for the money' by queen latifah off new jack city soundtrack........believe it or not she actually nicked it off the Mondays! Their influence spread much further than just Longsight, manchester

  • Absolute stonker of a tune not heard this for at least 15 years.....can anyone help with this question:

At the beginning of this track the bass line was nicked off the soundtrack to one of those late 80's south central style gangster films (something like New jack city or boyz n da hood), but i cant find the track anywhere on the net...does anyone know which tune the bassline was sampled from? I will be VERY impressed if someone knows this!

  • One of my favorite songs... love it

  • need a fuck off boogie!

  • awsome someone else who like both the mondays and sonic youth

  • Thanks for this mate, my 12" is scratched so at least this allows me to get a decent MP3 from it.

    Cheers,

    Si

  • Glad to be of assistance-It is very annoying that this is not on the greatest hits-To create this I bought the track off Napster.

  • Never, it certainly should be. I think this and Club Mix of Hallelujah, which is on the other side of this 12", were the best versions of Mondays songs ever done. Brilliant early Paul Oakenfold remixes.
