So... as implied in the beginning of the video, was Yuuka a magician-turned-youkai? She was the creator of the Master Spark (leading meto believe she was a magician). Even Shikieiki said that Yuuka was someone who had lived too long. I don't really know where I'm going with this, but that's my guess...

In Fiction by Mima in Touhou Wiki, when Yuka was a human, she had the last name of Kirisame. The Spark spell takes a lot of magic energy to use, so for people like Mima, Marisa, and Yuka, who use it so easily... there must be a connection...

Yuka beats Alice and receives the ultimate magic: Mima's soul. Yuka is used as a doll in place of a straw figure.

Yuka's eyes are now red from Mima's influence, which is slowly growing. Yuka develops a love for flowers, which symbolize death, or souls. This is why she's in the game to begin with. While Yuka is guided by the flowers in Higanba, Mima is guided towards Higanba as a place of death.

Yuka is at least 60 years old, and while it's not specific, so little is young for a youkai (even though she is probably much older). She might as well be talking about Mima, who is so old she's forgotten exactly what she is/was.

Yuka wanders around the shrine because she feels she must be there. This is Mima's influence, her being drawn to where she used to live.

TH12

Mima gains enough power to influence Yuka on her own. Yuka realizes Mima is there and they share her body. Mima being resurrected calls demons from Jigoku, which also opens the portal to Makai again, releasing Shinki. Mima still wishes to exact revenge on humans. This is a problem and so *insert heroines here* go investigate.

Epic ensues.

Wait, what? Explain this to me. The part about Yuka and Mima's soul in Mystic Square. This caught my interest.

What I was implying was that Mima lost purposely to Alice to try and figure the purpose of the Grimoire. As Mima is just a soul, Alice sealed her using a sort of voodoo, most likely in a doll or the grimoire. Throughout Touhou's 'story', Alice tries to make animate dolls; to create life like Shinki. Alice was trying to put Mima's soul in a body to create life. Yuka comes along, beats Alice and gains the 'ultimate magic', Mima inhabiting herself in the interestingly powerful subject.
