We will never go back to beef fat fries, there is too much PC these days, we have to accommodate to vegetarians and SOME religions that prohibit the consumption of certain meats/animal fats.
The criticisms against Morgan Spurlock who created "Super Size Me" are well justified. Over the course of Spurlock's McDonald's diet, he consumed over 30 pounds of sugar in one month and this was just from the deserts, shacks and drinks. This doesn't include the other carbs from buns, breaded meats and condiments.
"Fat Head" isn't a documtary with an agenda to preach about diet. It clearly illustrates how you've been brainwashed to believe the government has your best interests in mind.
Out of curiousity I looked at opponents to Atkins (to ensure a balanced view although following my own diet).
I found two sites atkinsexposed org and atkinsdietalert org
Smelling a rat more research showed the former to be the site of a heavily pro-vegan doctor Greger with the second being a site of the PCRM who have links to militant PETA activists (Wikipedia)
Picking reference out at random from the former I found it to be totally misquoted with the rest of the site similarly misleading
PCRM are nut-jobs and vegans, therefore nut-job vegans. I don't think all vegans are nuts.
PCRM does a good job of hiding their true purpose, which is why they annoy me. They present themselves as doctors committed to "responsible medicine," not doctors pushing a vegan agenda.
left wing liberal nutjobs are just as insanely self righteous as the right wing conservative loons. they think they know whats right and want to impose it on the rest of us,for our own good. plus if you you can get enough true believers it's a great way to make a living.
That's what so outrageous; coconut oil used to be a common ingredient. Now I have to order it online from health-food stores, or go to Whole Foods and take out a second mortgage to pay for it.
And it's because of CSPI that coconut oil is so darn expensive. Around here, virtually no supermarkets carry coconut oil. I have heard that coconut oil is practically relegated to being sold in alternative health food stores, mainly online alternative health food stores.
It wouldn't surprise me if CSPI were to demonize hempseed oil if hempseed oil became mainstream. (Like coconut oil, hempseed oil is relegated to alternative health food stores, mainly online stores.)

Trader Joe's now sells coconut oil for a reasonable price, fyi. :)

Doesn't surprise me. PCRM is a bunch of nut-job vegans.

Hmm, calling vegans nutjobs dampens my interest in your movie.

OK, that's reasonable.

@FatHeadMovie Yeah the PCRM they say you can reverse type 1 diabetes on a raw vegan diet which is a bunch of bologna, great film btw.

Coconut oil is a beautiful thing, I love it. Loblaws here in toronto sells it and it's the good extra virgin stuff.

You can buy it at Walmart around here, which is nice. It's also cheaper than other oils. I'm in N.C.
