  • a true classsic

  • I saw an interview of Neil Sedaka, of where Elvis invited him and his wife up too his suite after one of his concerts, and Elvis gave Neil's wife a solid gold necklace, I beleive and Neil sat at the piano while he and Elvis sang, Neil Sedaka said too bad there were not a tape recorder around. WOW can you imagine if there was one?

  • I signed the petition. I'm surprised that he's not already in the Hall of Fame. What's with all the "gay" talk? He recorded "Bad Blood" with his daughter and his wife has been his long-time manager.

  • This is a true classic written and sung by a very talented musician

  • @Helotes420

Who cares if ur a gay American, transplant Mexican or here on a student visa from Mars. Now ur making it an issue based on something other than the merits of the song/writer. We were signed to Atlantic Records in the late eighties by Kim Stephens and we played hair metal, but I don't judge based on my sexual preference. Just stick to the merits of the song writer/tune. K?

  • @BlackdogScratch What the Hell does transplant Mexican have to do with this at all. You should be the one to be sticking to the merits of the song. Relax

  • when was this released?

  • @BlackdogScratch 1973

  • sounds like a girl

  • Justin Beiber doesn't have this kind of singing voice.

  • 300 million dollars in the bank, So what? Neil Sedaka can rock any ones world.

sedaka works hard true journeyman. Lady who... 40 years from now. sedaka king

  • Sedaka is straight and makes great music

  • Deacon from The King of Queens anyone? :D

  • Deacon from The King of Queens anyone? :D Season 8! :D

  • Ahhhhhh one of the GREAT old time classics!!! It makes me sad that no one makes music like this anymore! ;-(

  • even though i'm only 14 i love music from the 70's/80's and love the feel of this song

  • 1975 - Senior year and having the time of my life. The many hours spent with songs like this were magic. Going back and doing it all over agian would be a dream come true. I have not seen her in 26 years but this song aways brings her back in my mind.

  • @hotstuffandicecream I love that! Dreams are great!

  • Oh man. This song, and his voice, is the sound of spring, whatever the season. I'm so glad that i grew up to this sort of music. Lady Gaga type of rubbish, in comparison, is nothing short of child abuse.

    ed

    a2ed*com

  • Oh man. It's so beautiful. This song and his voice is the sound of spring. Oh man.

  • HE STILL HASN'T RECEIVED THE CREDITS HE DESERVES A REALLY GREAT COMPOSER/LYRICS WRITER/PERFORMER

  • I miss the class and sophistication of the music I used to hear of times passed.

  • You losers with comments about sexuality are truly pathetic. It's great music, morons. Who the hell cares who does it? You like it or you don't listen to it. Your comments are childish and show how little you really respect anyone.

  • This is my favorite song from 1975.

  • What a beautiful,smooth voice.This is just gorgeous <3

  • Is Neil Sedaka Trans-Gender? what an incredible talent!

  • @lelboy There are many, many normal (and incredibly talented) trans-gendered people in the world, who have been denigrated for being just who they are. Health professionals like me don't think trans-gendered people are wierd, and the the descriptor should not be a pejorative.

  • @DrFlippin Ah, most revered doctor, you have completely misunderstood my post - on all levels.

I did not imply that transgendered folk were weird: I thought it weird that you could even imagine Neil was transgender: are you not aware of his offspring and family? It would only have taken you a few minutes to "google" him. Some guys are tenor, others are baritone and then there are those like Neil, whose voice effortlessly hits the higher register. Ye gods, will you next ask if Roy Orbison was TG?

  • @lelboy put your patronizing tone to rest. Even those who don't work in healthcare understand that transgender, homosexual and heterosexual people alike can create offspring. Are you transgender? If you were, then you'd not take offense to my question. You seem to imply that transgender is some kind of insult or negative phenomenon. 'wierd' - is producing a fetish video baring the soles of your feet so your friends can get off. And btw why would anyone assume Roy Orbison was transgender?

  • @lelboy How cowardly of you to reply to my personal profile... For the record, my query about Neil Sedaka being TG follows a number of comments that he might be; and its of no concern to me whether he is or isn't - not because of his voice, moron! (many TG people sing baritone). And how does being "a reasonably well-educated gay liberal" give you "no axe at all to grind, nor point to score"?. Your axe is in full view. And that foot fetish clip on your channel is, well... just plain 'wierd'.

  • Comment removed

  • @DrFlippin Hah, I'm not able to re-post my "cowardly" comment, because you chose to remove it from your profile. Perchance because others may have looked at it and thought "what a tit this doctor is". Ah well, just carry on doing a Don Quixote, and tilt at someone else, rather than me.

  • A great song written by a beautiful person. A genuine class act who brings a great show to hear all his wonderful songs.

  • Just beautiful music

  • All one classic, one of my favorites songs,Neil Sedaka Forever, saludos from Perú.

  • Wow, beautiful song! All Along I thought a lady sang this song...however, only today I know who Neil Sedaka really is!! This song brings lot of memories from my childhood.

  • I'm 36, and I used to hear this on satellite radio stations. But I love this song!

  • Sedaka rocks!

  • I absolutely love this live arrangement. The key change, complete with strings and sax at the end is a spectacular conclusion to an already amazing song.

  • This is what music should be! No one under the age of 30 really knows what good music is.Glad i was born in 63...love in it

  • @mrweirdlygruesome --You Are SOOOOOOOOOO Rite!!!

  • This is ass delicious

  • this just brought back a flood of memories

  • 27 dislikes from gangta' rap crap /vulgar hip-hop/ Lady ga-ga lovers!

  • @mrob75 Uh, no, from people who know what good music is. This is NOT.

  • GET HIM IN ROCK HALL OF FAME!!!

  • @YRNGHFAN2 Why? He is so NOT rock n roll, and he has a terrible voice.

  • @InSenseAround He isn't hard rock or acid rock, he was pop or soft rock. This is not MY vidio... but I liked him alot.

  • Money? This song probably puny after "Calendar Girl","Breakin' Up is hard to Do" and the dozens of other hits.

  • One of my all time favorite songs. He is absolutely fantastic. Wow, brings back so many memories.

  • @coltzgurl0319 Same here!

  • Is that one backup singer Kitty from "That 70's Show"?

  • 27 dislikes! Are you crazy?!? Love this song!

  • why does it seem so many great singers have lisps, lionel richie, julio iglesias, mike buble

  • love this song

  • This song makes me feel happy inside.

  • This song makes me feel happy for many reasons but the biggest is that I remember how lucky I am for having my wife with me.

  • this song clears my body and soul.. what a great song..

  • Im a straight 53 yo man and took my wife to see Neil Sadaka... he was fantastic in concert and so talented. He did a duet with his daughter (she was in another city) and they synched it perfectly. You youngsters dont realize what real music was because the songs and songwriters of the 60s-70s are so much better than the crap out there today.

  • @bigtimcny that had to be very cool! He is a great singer!

  • @bigtimcny why you say you are a straight man,who said neil is for gay people???

  • @bigtimcny You and I both know that the sixties and seventies had songs that were just as bad as the stuff being made today, and that the better songs of this generation are on par with the classics from then. The only thing is that time has had a chance to let the sub-par songs from the sixties and seventies slip through the cracks.

  • @bigtimcny 'Im a straight 53 yo man and took my wife......'. LOL. We believe you.

  • @bigtimcny You almost had me, but then you fell into the stereotype of an older generation. There's more coming out today than lady gaga and most of whats on pop radio. Also Sedaka was nowhere near the caliber of many of the musicians of his time

  • now this is when songs WERE songs. a true one indeed.

  • I love this song it reminds me of seeing a rainbow after a storm.

  • i'm black and i rmbr loving this song as a kid and i still love it now

  • this makes my heart throb...awesome music!

  • A wonderful song by a true master that has stood the test of time so well!

  • This song never fails to cheer me up whenever i'm feeling down :-)

  • This song just makes me smile. :)

  • minuto 1:20 bellisimo

  • I like it

  • Kim where ever you are..I walked in the rain to the school across the street from my townhouse and dream'nt of me holding your hand. It was on a Saturday and I remember it like it was yesterday. You were my high school sweetheart and we never even dated. God i loved Math class with you. Hey I'm available now. Great song Great Memories!

  • oh gosh...i thought sang by a woman!!!

  • Try Asian women # oneman4u.info #

  • chuck norris originally sang this song but the rain was to afraid to come down

  • He's quite the song writer - He was originally with the Tokens who did the classic "The Lion Sleeps Tonight". BTW - I'm white and Canadian but my all time fave music is soul, R&B, blues - Jerry Butler, Brook Benton, The Temptations, Dramatics, Manhattens, Harold Melvin. . . the list is endless. Classics all!!

  • Great song. Reminds me of happy days.......

  • いつ聞いてもいい曲です。何回聞いても飽きない曲

  • I'm gonna puke

  • 1:30 right back up singer... a young kitty from that 70's show?

  • @pinballwiz07 HOLY SHIT!! HA HA HAHAHAHA...... Totally..

  • I guess I'm corny also because this is one of my favorite songs and I'm afro american.

  • @cynrod100 Why does color matter? I am white as snow and love the Temptations, 4 Tops, etc. BTW, you have good taste in music. :)

  • i have loved this song since the age of 7

  • Great song, but he kinda looks like Gomer Pyle in this video

  • @irish00104 LOLOLOL !!!! I cannot believe someone else sees the resemblance !

  • I'm not 100% sure, but I think one of those singers is Toni Tennille.

  • No matter how many times I hear people say Sedaka is corny, I realize what a genius he is.

  • Why is he not in the R&R Hall? I would hardly call him rock and roll. Then again, look at the list of inductees. The majority of members is a joke. Not to mention the bands that should be in there that aren't. Either way, the hall is such a joke, it has no merit whatsoever.

  • YEY! NEIL got a love it!

  • @kaihalehonu In agreement!! Got love him and this song - so romantic!!!

  • How this man is not in the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame is beyond me.

  • @lavalp Probably because he's kinda phaggy. I love the guy's music, but I think his being effeminate hurt his reputation.

  • @ConservativeAnthem Could be I guess- that's how silly it can be. RnR HOF kind of a joke anyway really. All you have to do is listen to any radio and you hear Sedaka penned songs played regularly - that's speaks for itself.

  • My baby in Ohio~~

    you give me the shivers!!

    xoxo

  • For years I thought a woman sang this song until I did a random search for it recently on i-tunes

  • @montecarloman75 Glad to know I am not alone it that. For years I argued this was a woman. LOL

  • i love this song..and i love the voice of neil sedaka and his stage presence..it feels good listening to his songs..

  • The fellows range is incredible. Here he even out does what he managed on the studio recording and so effortlessly at that.

  • great post. :) Liked

  • :]

  • 42 single, man time is running out for me to walk hand in hand with the one I love.

  • Good memories connected to this song...puts me in a happy mood. :)

  • Neil is such a legend.

  • esta cancion me hace sentir feliz

  • Nice:-)

  • Nice:-)xx

  • That is beautiful. What a lovely song. Neil's pendant and the saxophonist's shirt are ultra cool, too. Fashions seemed both fun and sexy then.

  • God I miss these old songs! there's nothing like the 70's music. I was just a yung un but my family was still alive and times were so much easier back then.I remember sitting on my swing with the am radio. wow how I miss those days

  • @fyrewalker11 I had one of those swings and am radios too...those were the days werent they??????? have a good one......

  • Great, great song. One of the many from this era.

  • ええ曲や~

  • realy you could feel the laughter in the rain and it will be making me sleepy and i keep smiling like an happy baby

  • Who is she ?

  • bonita musica

  • When this came out, i was way too cool to like it too, so i loved it instead. Today, it's only just as good as it was then, Awesome and great song to enjoy listening to and singing along with. Neil Sedaka has a fine voice. although his sound dates him a bit, you can't hide the magic in those pipes.

  • @TSAllenBRP We all where that way. now we are older and just appretiate the finer things in life. i guess we are turning into our parents.

  • when this was out, I was way too cool to like it, thank gawd I'm not that cool anymore

  • He reminds me of tom chaplin from keane.. Sooo cute and fantastic voices!!

  • is that stevie riks, too?? ^^

  • he is amazing!!!!!!

  • had this song in my head, walking to the store in the snow.
