I got a tiny bit dissapointed that I read it was a fandub, to be honest. I think it was some kind of rare English dub. Aside from that, I really enjoyed it ! ! You sound nice.
i watched the original dub vhs way back when. it was called "clash of the bionoids" and was aimed for kids as right before the movie there was a kid talking about how to adjust tracking iirc. most if not all the violent/singing parts were cut out. i can't remember if they cut the ending song completely, maybe i might just be remembering the jp ver, but i've always wondered how it would've sounded if minmay did the song in eng. thanks for this and awesome that you stopped by west coast warzone!!!
Also it seems to be a rule of thumb I've seen is the ones who usually are really critical of themselves tend to be the ones that really shine in talent.
a bit like "My boyfriend is a fighter pilot" was used as Ranka's Miss Frontier song but was actually the debu song from this season. They recycled a few songs didn't they =P...but this song wasn't resung with a different vocalist where as "My boyfriend is a fighter pilot" was sung again by Ranka Lee (I preffered new one)...but if you want a good Ranka Lee one..."Interstellar Fight" is probably her best.

In the future, don't mention robocrap in a MACROSS vid please. "robotech is a story adapted with edited content and revised dialogue from the animation of three different mecha anime series: The Super Dimension Fortress Macross, Super Dimension Cavalry Southern Cross, and Genesis Climber Mospeada." DYRL is retelling of the ORIGINAL Macross story And by the way, robotech has no history. With robotech is all about stealing other anime history. Plain and simple.

Here's the deal, Harmony Gold owns the trademarks and names of SDF Macross and all it's Macross entirety. If they don't see a royalty check from it they don't want it state side or international. However they do not really own the rights to DYRL yet produce their own products via Toynami. DYRL is owned by Bandai at this time for distribution in Japan only. AnimeEgo owned SDF for a short time now brought to Harmony Gold.
It's really a confusing ass mess. It's a shame cause I could sell this.
In 2002, the Tokyo District Court ruled that Big West/Studio Nue is the sole owner of the original character and mecha designs for the first series, while that same court ruled in 2003 that Tatsunoko/HG owned the production rights to the first series.
Which should be wrong for the simple fact t hat HG alone did nothing in standards of production other than making an English dub for their own purpose. Originally we were going to get Macross in it's uncut format. But most sponsors wont touch a show unless it has X amount of episodes which Macross didn't meet the qualifications.
However DYRL is still it's own seperate entity and not apart of the original TV series.
In fact, HG does not really owns the production rights of SDF Macross. Tatsunoko has those rights and Tatsunoko can decide at any moment to stop playing ball with HG. Just to tell you how HG owns NOTHING regarding the original Macross and the Macross franchise as a whole. HG just owns the Macross trademark in a few countries (USA, and few european countries). Not even a worlwide trademark.
this is Lyne Minmay english version looks way better than the SDF Macross English version and besides this one looks way better for the english version i think i seen the english one when i was a kid but japanese one is way better i like thiese both version better than crappy robotech go macross!
Awesome! If the legal battles tying up Macross ever actually come to an end and allow a dub, I hope they choose you for Minmei! On another note, I would love to hear a cover (English, Japanese, or both) of the Musician's Melody from D.Gray Man. Since Allen's seiyuu Sanae Kobayashi sings it both in her voice and Allen's voice, you and Bobby could each sing a version! ^_^ Kobayashi-san does an awesome job, but I think you have a much better range than her, so I would love to hear your version.
And Allen's voice is about in Bobby's range, so he wouldn't have to suffer like he did with Code Geass's O2. ^^; (I still think you did a great job, Bobby, but please don't rip up your throat on our account).
I'm really not the best person to ask ^^;, but there's something of a three-way legal war going on between Macross's Japanese company, the American company who released Robotech, and Macross's original creator...I think? Well, what it comes down to is the courts haven't decided yet who would actually have the right to distribute anything under the Macross franchise in America, so until someone wins, nothing can be sold here and no new dub can be made. He is ROCK SINGER, my hero.

I got a tiny bit dissapointed that I read it was a fandub, to be honest. I think it was some kind of rare English dub. Aside from that, I really enjoyed it ! ! You sound nice.

i watched the original dub vhs way back when. it was called "clash of the bionoids" and was aimed for kids as right before the movie there was a kid talking about how to adjust tracking iirc. most if not all the violent/singing parts were cut out. i can't remember if they cut the ending song completely, maybe i might just be remembering the jp ver, but i've always wondered how it would've sounded if minmay did the song in eng. thanks for this and awesome that you stopped by west coast warzone!!!

Also it seems to be a rule of thumb I've seen is the ones who usually are really critical of themselves tend to be the ones that really shine in talent.

it's from the original SDF-1 Macross and DYRL but was also used in frontier as the ED in some episodes..

a bit like "My boyfriend is a fighter pilot" was used as Ranka's Miss Frontier song but was actually the debu song from this season. They recycled a few songs didn't they =P...but this song wasn't resung with a different vocalist where as "My boyfriend is a fighter pilot" was sung again by Ranka Lee (I preffered new one)...but if you want a good Ranka Lee one..."Interstellar Fight" is probably her best.

In the future, don't mention robocrap in a MACROSS vid please. "robotech is a story adapted with edited content and revised dialogue from the animation of three different mecha anime series: The Super Dimension Fortress Macross, Super Dimension Cavalry Southern Cross, and Genesis Climber Mospeada." DYRL is retelling of the ORIGINAL Macross story And by the way, robotech has no history. With robotech is all about stealing other anime history. Plain and simple.

Here's the deal, Harmony Gold owns the trademarks and names of SDF Macross and all it's Macross entirety. If they don't see a royalty check from it they don't want it state side or international. However they do not really own the rights to DYRL yet produce their own products via Toynami. DYRL is owned by Bandai at this time for distribution in Japan only. AnimeEgo owned SDF for a short time now brought to Harmony Gold.
It's really a confusing ass mess. It's a shame cause I could sell this.

In 2002, the Tokyo District Court ruled that Big West/Studio Nue is the sole owner of the original character and mecha designs for the first series, while that same court ruled in 2003 that Tatsunoko/HG owned the production rights to the first series.

Which should be wrong for the simple fact t hat HG alone did nothing in standards of production other than making an English dub for their own purpose. Originally we were going to get Macross in it's uncut format. But most sponsors wont touch a show unless it has X amount of episodes which Macross didn't meet the qualifications.
However DYRL is still it's own seperate entity and not apart of the original TV series.

In fact, HG does not really owns the production rights of SDF Macross. Tatsunoko has those rights and Tatsunoko can decide at any moment to stop playing ball with HG. Just to tell you how HG owns NOTHING regarding the original Macross and the Macross franchise as a whole. HG just owns the Macross trademark in a few countries (USA, and few european countries). Not even a worlwide trademark.

this is Lyne Minmay english version looks way better than the SDF Macross English version and besides this one looks way better for the english version i think i seen the english one when i was a kid but japanese one is way better i like thiese both version better than crappy robotech go macross!

Awesome! If the legal battles tying up Macross ever actually come to an end and allow a dub, I hope they choose you for Minmei! On another note, I would love to hear a cover (English, Japanese, or both) of the Musician's Melody from D.Gray Man. Since Allen's seiyuu Sanae Kobayashi sings it both in her voice and Allen's voice, you and Bobby could each sing a version! ^_^ Kobayashi-san does an awesome job, but I think you have a much better range than her, so I would love to hear your version.

I'm really not the best person to ask ^^;, but there's something of a three-way legal war going on between Macross's Japanese company, the American company who released Robotech, and Macross's original creator...I think? Well, what it comes down to is the courts haven't decided yet who would actually have the right to distribute anything under the Macross franchise in America, so until someone wins, nothing can be sold here and no new dub can be made.
