  • I was at this show..Back in 77, January...ran up to the front at the end of the show. This was the third night..not quite sro but the place was packed.

  • One of their best songs. Very simple and powerful.

  • that rhinestone flying v kicks ass!!!

  • Paul Stanley has a fucking great voice :P I love this guy!

  • This is the song & filmclip that got me into KISS all those years ago. So glad I saw it on the tv when I did.

  • Their sound & their look was so amazing during this time in the 70's... Paul's vocals are awesome!!

  • I love this footage. It is actually filmed better than a lot of early shows. I like to see the stage shots also and this footage actually shows the stage show!!!! WOOOO

  • Holy shit!!

    The wonderfull years!

  • That afro wig on Paul ROCKS!!!

  • Just AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!

  • I will always love this song! Thanks!

  • Amazing concert!!!

  • "You can walk in a haze you can travel till you....die"....Fucking fantastic! That pause Paul does before the word,"die",gets me every time.Brilliant solo from Paul and Ace.The rhythm guitar playing behind the solo is so good.Way ahead of it's time, this song.'70's Kiss was unbeatable.

  • dang. this jams. . . why isn't this a staple of classic rock radio? seriously--this is so much better than a lot of that lame stuff that everyone considers to be 'classic.'

  • peter criss is the coolest drummer ever

  • I wonder if Paul was aware that his make-up was coming off at this point during the show?

  • @AngelofAnguish He's looking a little like the Joker.

  • Paul Stanley is the ultimate rock n roll performer.

  • It looks like Paul does the first part of the solo.

  • @jeffroreal always has done

  • damn i love the voice of stanley............Starchild rules!!!

  • ACE FREHLEY! It was always about Ace. Ace was the one we came see and hear. I had the pleasure of seeing KISS in 1977 and 1978. What a show, and Ace was the man.

  • This song is the blueprint for grunge.

  • I LOVE THIS SONG!!!

  • Kiss...

  • When KISS was the Hottest Band in the World.

  • This must be from the Rock and Roll Over Tour...

  • ACE = BOOZE = GOD

  • @MrLegion2407 he IS fantastic no matter how dead he is. RIP Carr<3

  • @MrLegion2407 at least you saw em in the 80's, I saw em in Norway on their alive 35 tour, that was the first time I saw em.

  • @MrLegion2407 YouTube, DVD's and so on, I wish i was born in the 50's so I could see the great bands from the 60's,70's and 80's

  • I saw them a year later in January 78' in Detroits Olympia Stadium.....I was 15 and it was the first live concert I'd ever seen. These guys were GODS!

  • This is one of their best songs. BABY BABY BABY WANT YOU! Hell yeah!

  • great song :D

  • at the end it sounded like paul wanted the croud to say i want but instead they said you

  • caralho!! muito louco esse som!!! KISS é foda

  • Paul's voice actually got BETTER over the years....and it started out awesome so that's saying something.

  • Paul Stanley had a fucking great voice in his early days :D

  • Love this shared solo... between Ace & Paul... this was such a magic time!! The sticker from this Album from the day it came out was on my 9th grade notebook! Was in Section 203 for the Feb Madison Square Garden show.. Never did I see kiss again top this show!

  • It's so great to see them do it :D

  • Wasn't it from Rock -n- Roll Over?

  • I agree with Mercury91, it's awesome how Paul and Ace share the lead in this one. I saw KISS in Charlotte 1977 and it was a breathtaking show. I'll never forget it.

  • Hey man yea I remember those days. I used to have the sticker from the album Rock and Rollover on my loose leaf lol, those were the days.

  • Ha - the sticker! Yeah I remember that now. And the little cardboard gun inside the Love Gun album. Those were indeed the days.

  • I still have that cardboard inside the album!

  • And he still does! =)

  • It's amazing!

  • @addy93 i seen them live last year paul still has a great voice

  • Excellent! KISS is the best!

  • love this song man and i love kiss

  • Fantastic. In the fabulous KISS Alive Forever book it says of this...."All three Cobo Arena gigs were broadcast live on an overhead video screen in the arena and may have been archived on videotape, most likely by the Kelly-Kirby production team. However other than..."Beth", none of the footage has appeared either among collectors or from the band's archives.

So can only assume that this is a relatively recent discovery. Let's hope they release it and Annaheim on Kissology Vol 4.

  • are they making a kissology 4??

i though kissology 3 was gonna be that last

  • Paul said a couple of months ago that vol. 4 is almost done! No word on what could be on it though.

  • SOUNDS SO GOOD.

  • omfg! this is by far the best sounding kiss footage ever.

  • wow....! the guitars sound awesome..great post

  • I thought he sang it pretty much like the Rock n Roll over version. but a little less passion. he may have just been tired if this was near the end of the show.

  • I can under stand him being tired in a show they are one of the most energetic bands on the planet

  • Dude, PS moves around a lot during a show, and standing still in front of a mic is not the order of the day. Don't misconstrue Paul's level of activity for a lack of vocal chops.

  • thanks for the post. good guitar tone on this show.

  • how much of this show exists???

  • Ive got the whole show

  • man, how do u get all theeses concerts??

like where can i buy them?? or can you download them to??

  • @74BlackDiamond74 is this on a kissology?

  • @74BlackDiamond74 Me too! In VHS... I used to watch it over and over again when I was a kido!

  • gr8t live song...
