  • Junior in all of his moods, what a way to chill ! this is true soul as is all of his music. I just love it.

  • Memories, Brillinat, thx

  • Great track and a fitting atmospheric video, well done .

  • great song and great video - well done

  • Junior Walker Rules the Night!!

  • I accidentally hit dislike but on this... plz shoot me! I may be young but i know good music it when it slaps me in the face and this right here is pure class.

  • Great steppers kut

  • who the hell wants to think of crewe when such a blow your mind classic is playing at full volume, you just wanna lay back and let your mind wander

  • @nenaphillips

Like, I don't mind it much...

  • Nice presentation, great jr walker number too! (better than watching a still pictureof the title)

  • Superb

  • superb

  • The music makes Crewe at night look exotic and thrilling!!

Maybe it is, I never visited.

  • @Drblooter99

No, Crewe is not exotic, by day or by night, but this track helps!

  • JW was one of the very best motown artists I have loved his music for over 40 years and ranks high with the Four tops and Marvin Gaye for me.

  • Thanks so much for uploading this ace track :)

  • What no comments. And this is such an awesome track. Have you lot got no taste.

  • Wonderful record with great memories. Excellent video too by the way, Thank you trefechan!!!

  • One walk in the night in 1972 in Norwich

this song was playing in every place

    I went

  • Gosh this brings back memories - Steve Williams, 1972 & he broke my heart !

  • This is an excellent piece of music and the video misses the mark, but I love Jr Walker.

  • This tune peaked at #46 on the Billboard Hot 100 in August of 1972-

  • when did jr. walker die?

  • Jr Walker of Jr. Walker and the All-Stars passed away on November 23, 1995 at the age of 64-

  • so cool thanks love their music

  • Another Junior sound that Blows your Tits Off...Timeless

  • a wet evening in Crewe how romantic that is.

  • dream sound...as for going LA just to put a video on for us haha, walk in the night is a walk in the night at least effort was made...im sure the greatest ever sax player wouldnt mind..dont you just love some people...thanks tref for the track.

  • A fantastic instrumental hit that doesn't fit with this video. Were are the cool dudes and neon lights? Nice try but not imaganative enough. Go to LA and film sexy saxy things and the you're talking.

  • well it was first titles a walk around Crewe at night, but then later I added this Great motown instrumental, and changed the title more for the record than the vid of Crewe

  • @trefechan I liked the video footage. I can't say whether it 'goes' or not, but it works for me - reminds me of night in any large town round Christmas time in the UK. A walk in the night and this was what I might see, and my mood might be just this music. The people are real, you see glimpses of them, they don't know they're being filmed, you can see life, tiny things that have significance (this was what Roland Barthes was on about). Keep your 'cool dudes', Nick148.

  • @trefechan This song by Jr. Walker and the All-Stars was released on Motown's Soul Records label in February 1972 as Soul 35095 and you did a great job with the song and video!

  • @Nick148489 I 1000,000% agree

  • i thought the chorus was "oh cinnamon" many thanks for the memory

  • What is the chorus saying, do you know?

  • They are singing "walk in the night".

  • Thanks. I can hear it now. For 37 years, I thought it was "Oh Jesus Christ, ba doo ba doo ba daa". But I think something's lost when you hear the real words, and your own words, wrongly made up when very young, are erased. So maybe I was wrong to ask for the words! And also dumb, cos the words are the tune's title!

  • There are worse things in life, don;t be so hard on yourself. Just enjoy the music.

  • I'm aware of worse things in life!

I was just sharing a moment of whimsical self-reflection, y'know, funny how the mind works sometimes, that kind of thing.

  • love this track so much!

    thanks trefechan

  • I have ALWAYS ALWAYS loved this great instrumental - it only charted at #46 in June 1972-

  • Schitterend nummer, doet me denken aan mijn staptijd in st Tropez grote overstraat deventer 1973
