@Team2DownRISTO it's really just personal preference. i personally use 2 different colored inova thumbs because my style involves the use of thumbs for conjuring/mode switching. but there's a lot of artists out there who just use normal strobe/ribbon lights, or even no thumb lights at all. get whatever you feel will work best for you.
