Well, you are right, but this is a show about a serial killer we all love. What option does Dexter have? Just let him go?

Considering those tools will have Doakes' prints on them(check the promo, and he notes it in this one too), I'm pretty sure that's exactly what he'll do. Unless Lyla steps in and takes the fall, Doakes is gone after this season.

that's the whole point. it's genious. there are no "bad guys" in this story. sure we don't want dexter to get caught, but doakes is actually doing his job and being a good cop, and so does lundi and batista and everyone. but of course dexter's not gonna let that happen because he owns them all =)
