Why is it that every video i want to watch that has the word islam or muslim or even arab. There always have to be arguments, and racist slurs. What cant we just watch the video and laugh, and enjoy the comedy being shown. Now is that so hard?

It's a statement against *forced* veiling. The hijab is only meaningful if it's a choice. If you lived in Iran, which I did, you would see that I am only mimicking what most Iranian women do multiple times each and every day -- put the veil on, take it off, put it on, take it off. Every religion has their own beliefs about what happens when you die, but no one know for sure. Research is based on facts. What happens after you die isn't determined. It's only by faith that you can think of what happens. And faith isn't research. It's in your heart.

Iranians that live in North America are mostly atheist due to the hardship by mixing politics and religion has caused their country. Those 2 should never be mixed. And unfortunately they are and it's not going to change. Ever. When the Shah was in power, women did not have to cover their hair and it was not an "islamic republic". Also modesty isnt a deed. For i bleive tht every human has ingrained/inherited modesty as a part of Allah's Spirit/Words. We r all born modest, thats the way Allah has created us. I dont know if u've realised how a child/toddler feels shy in company of a stranger or how a teen blushes when an opp sex shows interest. It's a statement against *forced* veiling. The hijab is only meaningful if it's a choice. If you lived in Iran, which I did, you would see that I am only mimicking what most Iranian women do multiple times each and every day -- put the veil on, take it off, put it on, take it off. The mullahs running Iran have made a mockery of the veil, not me. I respect anyone who chooses to veil, but having a veil forced upon you is wrong.

Sister, I can see why you'd be angry. But to be fair, I don't think she meant to offend anyone. She's obviously not a real hijabi if she took it off, and anyway her headscarf looked more like the type that the average Persian woman would wear simply to comply with Iranian law (i.e. hair not fully covered). I think what we need to remember is that she's just a comedian. If you wouldn't get mad about the average Western Muslimah not wearing hijab, then think twice before you get angry here.

a hijab is only a hijab to someone who is wearing it for Allah and the right reason. to everyone else its a piece of cloth. so its not a hijab on her head...its just a scarf. so no disrespect there.
