I have had many women that were physically abusive, most were taking out by the police and sometimes they returned (I allowed them, unfortunately) to do it again. One cop told me that in 90 percent of domestic abuse cases they respond to, it is the women that is the aggressor. Based on my own obeseravtion of couples and fighting, I believe the cop. If there was a true campaign done to stop domestic violence, it would focus more on women as an abuser not as a victim! Stop the sexism...

voilence is so inherate in our culture and so ignored by society it's sad to try and figure out who is to blame one thing i do know is the prision system does not help abusers male or female instead the voilence they indure there creates people who are more violent we need scoial reform and end to violence in familys, media, an end to war and prision systems need to be reformed. My grandfather almost killed my grandmother by pushing her into a lake one night. He kept her drunk so she couldn't fight back... But now that I look back, I blame him for her death because it was the alcohol he made her drink that made her sick and die.

I think that domestic violence is a very serious issue because i have been through it with my stepfather, However i couldnt thank him more because after being a 12 year old against a 26 year old body builder i guess i lost the fear of people which proves useful when put in the shoes of a bluuy victim.

We GET IT. We know that there's abuse against men, but women are the majority. We aren't fighting for just women - but when most of the stories are about women, when the most powerful statistics revolve around women, that's what the videos come down to. It doesn't mean I don't care about a victimized man; if a man abused by his girlfriend happened by me, I'd try to protect him as much as I'd try to protect a woman abused by her boyfriend.

I survived domestic violence. It made me screwed up and scared, but i'm still here, my father beat me and his girlfriend, which led to self injury, ive tried suicide and got beat for it, finally my aunt (my angel!) found out and saved me and my 4 brothers...his girlfriend died and now he ran away from everything, suprisingly though, i don't hate him, in fact, i thank him for making me stronger. I am now well off and happy. no more self harm or suicide for me...THERE IS HOPE! SPEAK OUT! <3/Brit

I can relate to your situation coming from a highly abusive relationship myself. My estranged wife turned out to be manipulative bitch highly skilled in acting as a victim. I was instantly assumed to be the perpetrator by most people even when I showed bruises on my body, just because I am a man. We need to speak more about reality of violence and start holding women to the same standards we hold for men.

Many abusers tend to twist the reality to make it seem like their victim is the perpetrator, and it's terrible. My father did that as well . . .

I liked that you mentioned male victims of DV. Lorg knows they don't get enough attention. I had to rewind the vid when I saw a picture taken from MenWeb. I wish you could have included more images of women being violent towards their male partners. The few examples you included could easily be washed over. If it weren't for the writing in the background, I wouldn't have noticed them. Excellent work. :)
