I seriously don't understand your whole rant about Logan calling himself a Gaijin. You realize that's what he is right? Just like you and most of us here. If anything he was simply just setting up the difference between his class and the Silver Samurai, which shows who has the "right" to marry Mariko. Is gaijin a negative racial slur? Some consider it to be, others don't.

Keep in mind that this is a cartoon for children. I don't think they will care about differences between Ninjas and Samurai's. You'd run the risk of boring them to tears (much like this video). Just relax...yeesh.

I think Wolverine and the X-men is a good TV show. And no matter how old you are, if you like the X-men, this show is not so bad. In fact i think it's alot better than the other marvel cartoons. With a few misstakes -which I agree with you- it's not worth overreacting.

haha im just goofin on ya. ive seen a couple of the wolverine and the xmen episodes. i was lookin for the episode that picked up from where the hulk vs wolverine movie left off. wat i said about me is true except about the only cartoons i watch is family guy and south park. i also watch naruto,dragonball z,gundam wing,and other stuff. I am not flipping out about it. All I am saying I hate it when American show just grab random Japanese words to be cool. All this word is going to do is cause awkward moments when talking to real Japanese people it is like Otaku, Americans throw it around like it is something to be proud of and in Japan it is an insult. As someone who has spent time in japan and have studied japanese for the past 6 yrs or so, i have learned that although the term "gaijin" is kind of rude, it is not necessarily a big "NO NO"..and in the time period that wolverine was in japan..about the 70's, this term was still very much used to identify most foreign outsiders..but today it is sort of looked down upon to use this  term, but because that was the time period that Logan was in, he speaks from the mindset of that timeperiod

Marvel always tosses around the word gaijin in the comics/cartoons when the setting is in Japan, since the 70s even. It doesn't seem like they'll stop using the term. I do agree it was stupid of them to have Wolverine refer to himself as a gaijin though. The context was kind of ignorant.
