  • Classic, I have bipolar and got a corporate job after being diagnosed, can totally relate to this clip.

  • this is an issue that is very close to my heart........my husband is disabled and suffered from depresion and mental health issues, IT DOES NOT make you less of a person.........the main issue with this ad is that the employer doesnt ask WHY he suffered from it........what caused it?it would have given him a better idea of whether or not this candiate is suitable for the job and whether he was just going through a bad time in his life which caused the depression.

  • Britain is a truly vile, nasty country.

This Govt. video unintentionally shows an itemised list of the many, many attitudes that make it such.

  • @guthywoodry that is really mean, britain is an amazing country! what, in america there are no mental people either? /:(

  • @jamwithmates123 America is RUN by people with mental illness. The US is mostly third world - they only let the rest of us see the shiny, nice side - take a deeper look and you will see it for what it really is! Suppressed natives, discrimination against people of colour, and until they had their terrorist attacks, they openly supported Irish terrorist groups. A hateful, war mongering nation.

  • like anybody really gives a shit in the real world. The government onyl care about money. The only help for depression is helping urself. Nobody is gonna hold ur hand and give you a kiss. YOu gotta help urself. THere is no help.

  • What a brilliant advert!

I remember as a kid in the 1970s seeing Public Information Films all the time on telly. Nowadays they're hardly shown at all. If ever.

Probably worried about being accused of running a 'nanny state' :o(

  • LOL.

I know this is meant to be serious, but that employer was quite funny.

  • What a complete twat that boss is - if I worked for him, I'd sit on his chest and force-feed him almonds! Either that or I'd push him out of a 10th-floor window!

  • A bit too humorous to deal with the issue effectively.

  • i tottaly agree. it is funny cause they are trying to get people attention. But thatsall they did; too much funny, not enough msg, i would say

  • people with mental health problems are sort of marginalised in british society and people are ignorant about mental illness

  • I agree so much. Youv'e got more chance of being able to pee on a rooftop than get a job if you have a history of mental illness. Employers are heartless bastards and hypocrites who have probably had mental health problems themselves. This PIF is a brave attempt to address the issue, but unfortunately attitudes will not change that easily.

  • @zippyandgeorge not everyone is like that but many are
