You can search many video clips with "Asadoya Yunta" or "安里屋ユンタ".

星克(Katsu Hoshi) and 宮良長包 (Choho Miyara) made a new version based on the oldl one with words close to the standard Japanese in 1934. It became very popular and various Jaapnese singers sang it till today. Roman Tam's version must be based on it. Ryuichi Sakamoto made very unique arrangement. I do not believe Roman's version is based on it .

Japanese original is "Asadoya Yunta, a folk song of Yaeyama islands in Okinawa. Strictly speaking, the "New Asadoya Yunta". They have a traditional version for many centuries with their dialect non-understandable for non-local Japanese.
