  • Wow one hell of a set up got to be said might steal the design wen my colony is bigger

  • wow..........esta increíble !!

    Muy buen trabajo.

  • So thats talcom poweder thats keeping them in?

  • @ALAUpdator Yeah, in this video it's only talcum powder. But after they escaped a couple of times, I added PTFE (fluon) too.

  • ummm where u get the ytong?

  • @DemonsLite At any DIY store ;)

  • @mpower000 whats a DIY store?

  • @DemonsLite A "do it yourself"- shop. Where you can buy hammers, saws, cement, tiles, sand, ladders, ...

  • @mpower000 yea but are you in the uk? i cant seem to find ytong

  • @donpurokogi I'm not in the UK, but you should be able to find it there too, most likely with another name. It's gas concrete, used to isolate walls etc...

  • thats alsome

  • What were they all swarming over?

  • @lifewithgenerationz It's a cockroach i just fed them.

  • @mpower000 would it work if i had a stone bit for the seeds that would stay dry and have the ytong nest connected to it with silicone ?

  • @fishiswhisperer I'm not sure how that would look like, but you can always experiment. Keep in mind that these ants bite through pretty much anything including the ytong and silicone. But as i said before, they really don't need any moisturization; you can keep them 100% dry as long as you make sure they have some water source in their outworld.

  • how did you make the nest so they can keep the seeds, so how did you make it so the seed rooms didnt get moist

  • @fishiswhisperer I don't moisturize the nest. I had made the places to pour water on one side of the nest, so they could store the seeds away from the moist, but in the end it turned out they don't need more than a source of water in the outside world.

  • What do you have on glass that keeps them in?

  • @snakeman9090 I use either talcum powder or fluon/ptfe on the sides of the aquarium. The fluon/ptfe works best on glass surfaces; the talcum powder works on anything (glass, plastic).
