  • seriously ... can at least one vegan respond to this article. it is a direct argument against veganism with empirical support.

  • @tryandlike Probably because you posted a broken link.... "page not found"

  • @suruhreid sorry .. REMOVE THE SPACES AFTER THE PERIOD

  • @tryandlike I DID!

  • The only time a chicken is free range is when it gets out of its cage.

  • Thanks Ellen.

  • The entire truth from Ellen with a lot of heart into her voice. I can't eat meat anymore either. Factory farms are disgusting. I love animals so much. I dont find anything healthy about eating corpses while I can find other products that are healthier and have the same or better amount of vitamins and whatnot. I'm a vegetarian now and considering going completely vegan. Mimi Kirk inspires me a lot too. Kudos.

  • I don't kill any animals. I just don't let their deaths be in vain. I contribute to the meat business by eating their fine products.

  • @TheRealThreeP Demand creates supply. It's one of the simplest rules of economics. Whenever you buy a meat product you give the meat industry incentive to slaughter more animals. Stop being a mindless consumer and take some responsibility for your actions. The meat and dairy industries wouldn't exist without people to buy the flesh and secretions they sell.

  • @suruhreid I've received some crybaby responses to my eating meat, before, but this one takes the prize. I will eat what I want, and you will quit being an asshole about that. End of story.

  • @TheRealThreeP I love how this response addresses none of the points I made. It's a purely emotional and ignorant reaction to the fact that someone is challenging the way you see yourself and the world. You think "this meat tastes good to me, therefore nothing else could be more important than me shoving mass amounts of it into my obese face." Nothing about how you are affecting other creatures, the planet or your own health. And if you don't want to be judged, don't comment on vegan videos. :)

  • @TheRealThreeP You may not kill any animals directly, but by contributing to the meat industry, you are responsible for their deaths. You are paying someone else to kill the animals for you. Your money goes towards torture and death.

  • @xoxamyyyy Moot point. They're already dead. And since I don't judge you on your diet, I insist on the same courtesy.

  • @TheRealThreeP They're dead because of people like you who support the industry. Supply and demand. And when your diet causes pain and suffering, you don't deserve that courtesy.

  • VEGANS KILL MORE ANIMALS THAN MEAT EATERS.

    theconversation. edu. au/ordering-the-vegetarian-meal-theres-more-animal-blood-on-your-hands-4659

  • @tryandlike Take your prescription pills and fuck off...

  • @DocStrange0123Rread the article before you start being an ignorant fool. The argument in the article (backed by an actual study) suggests that more animals are killed in making a vegan dish of the same caloric measure of a omni or meat dish, than in making the omni or meat dish.

  • @DocStrange0123 read the article. the argument is that more animals are killed in producing one vegan dish of the same caloric measure than a meat/omni dish. field mice fool.

  • well done!!!!!

  • Thank you Ellen, for speaking truth! VEGANS ROCK!! :)

  • lol Skinny Bitch is a hilariously amazing book :) <3 you Ellen

  • I can see where vegans come from because seriously factory farming is disgusting. There's such a disconnect and the food labels are dumb and show fake pictures of cows grazing outside etc. But people who raise their own animals humanely or buy from humane local farms where the animals are pastured and living normal lives I don't have a problem with.

  • skinny bitch is the best book! a must-read for everybody

  • Veganism Is genetic Suicide, deal with it you Hippy Moron's.

  • I love her and all, but I just want to point out that she's a spokesperson for covergirl, which tests on animals.

  • @kellyaolsen doesn't work that way. they won't let me have the groceries, the practically forced me to quit.

  • Vegan 6 years, and still going! I'd never go back to consuming dairy/eggs/meat, but by the same token, being vegan doesn't make me the food police, I can't judge other people's food choices, regardless if i agree or not with them.

  • I love you ellen!

  • I agree with everything. But as a growing human, it's very hard to get every nutrition you need with out becoming ill. Especially if your family eats meat. That's why it's much easier to be vegan when you are an adult.

  • @qtaznpianofreak Going vegan in a meat-eating family is a great way to learn to cook if you are old enough and your parents will let you have the groceries. That's what I did as a teen, and now as an adult, I am raising a happy, healthy vegan family. My kids are in perfect health. Just remember to take your B12 and eat a variety of whole foods. Young vegans rely too often on french fries, but things like smoothies and PB&J with a glass of soy milk are EZ too. Best luck 2 U!

  • Thats how i became a vegan too, by watching earthlings. i cried non-stop throughout the whole documentary. i was horrified and like Ellen said, i will not participate in that.

  • Looks more like Katie Couric is interviewing Ellen.

  • Good for her :)

  • Vegan is sexy.

  • It still is hard for me to accept any sincerity in Ellen talking about compassion for animals and animal rights, when she represents a comapny that is STILL very well known to test their products on animals...Cover Girl. When she stands up to them and tells them no more is when I KNOW she means what she says.

  • This is the first time I've seen Ellen not constantly joking :)

  • Yes cage hens and the way animals get treated I think is appsolotely disgustingly sad, good on you Ellen (: iv been a vegetarian since I was 3 or 4 and I have nothing against meat eaters... All my freinds n mainly eat meat... Now I'm on a mission to be a vegan (: I guess every 5 cents works, got some almond milk in the fridge hehe

  • @lovethelaugh1 Almond milk is sooooooo gooooood! Especially Silk Vanilla and Dark Chocolate.

  • I highly respect vegans and vegetarians. Not because your logic is correct, but because most of you are intelligent people with good intentions.

  • Great woman. Bang on. There are NO excuses for factory farms which don't stink of denial. If you are Tibetan or Eskimo, you need meat, but probably express thanks for it. Puts the rest of meat-eaters in vegetable-rich countries to shame.

  • 50 billion animals die a year and yet nothing changes. This makes the genocide of the Jews look like child's play.

  • i love ellen. go vegans!

  • I cant even fathom how bad earthlings must be i watched Food, Inc. and i havnt ingested a beef product since. I'm contemplating going pollotarian. Being from canada there are very different food preparation laws than there is in the states for sure.

  • Tremendo ser humano!

  • I love you, Ellen! I liked you before but now I respect you so much more.

  • Thumbs up for those that have a craving for a nice juice piece of negative energy!

  • what is wrong with ppl.

  • Yea I'm vegan but she is gussy

  • I'm going to say this from a perspective of a former dairy farmer. We never misteated our cows the stress from abuse reduces productivity. The cows were always waiting for us when it was time to milk due to the fact that the breeds used for milking have to be milked or they will be uncomfortable. Most dairy cows don't even pay attention to their calves after they are cleaned.

  • "Most dairy cows don't even pay attention to their calves after they are cleaned." That's a blatant lie. Cows do not just produce milk for the hell of it. The only way to keep a cow lactating is to repeatedly impregnate her. The cow gives birth; the calf is ripped away to become veal, causing both of them emotional stress. The milk (meant for the calf) is taken for humans; and the cow is impregnated again. Dairy is rape, so yes, you did mistreat your cows.

  • @xoxamyyyy Actually yes,Cows do produce milk for the hell of it. I have seen many cows being milked that were not pregnant, and were not pregnant before. Second I have seen many cows that are milked that love there owners. It does not hurt the cow one bit. The only time a cow hates being milked is when you do it wrong, and actually hurt them. So again you are a jackass who needs to SHUT THE HELL UP!

  • @VGV1de0s Telling me to shut the hell up in all caps will not change facts. Cows cannot produce milk unless they’ve given birth. After they’ve had a baby they produce milk, just like humans. Now, it’s possible that cows might produce more milk than necessary IF they are given excessive amounts of hormones that make them produce more so humans get the “most” out of a cow. And that's fucked up and it's animal exploitation.

  • Blessings to you Ellen, Im right there with you. Ive been vegan for years and I love it.

  • After a quick google, I discovered that Cover Girl is a subsidiary of Proctor and Gamble. They test on animals. What is worse than animal abuse for the purpose of vanity? Nothing really. I posted this question on her show's website along with tones of other saddened fans. Still no answer. I think finding out that Santa Clause didn't exist was easier to take than this. WHY ELLEN. Why:(

  • @roachbug27 Without animal testing. Many drugs wouldn't of been discovered vastly for the effects for treating human patients with various diseases. So I am in favor of research.

  • The Meat, Pharma, Oil&Gas industry tell us what is good. Indoctrination, propaganda call it whatever you want, lobbying and bribering, pushing their agenda to make us believe that their way is the right way in order to make huge profits. Telling us that anything outside of the box is wrong. Vegetarianism and Veganism is just the natural way to grow and eat food without harming other living beings and the environment.

  • I sobbed the whole time i watched Earthlings and had nightmares. That movie made me decide to quit fish and go full vegan.

  • @JessicasVeggieDiary Same here too!

  • I love her reasons - just I'm a bit skeptical because Cover Girl, which she's a huge spokesperson for, isn't that a company that does testing on animals? If it is, isn't this all kind of hypocritical? I love her but I think quitting as spokesperson would really prove her point.

  • i saw earthlings too and i totally agree with ellen, you just can't shut it out of your mind once you see it. the truth will set you free, as they say..

  • her logic is great. i liked watching her show, now i like her significantly gained more respect for her.

  • Is beer and wine vegan?

  • @IamUncledeuce I know that quite a few beers are vegan, and I'm sure there are vegan wines as well! If you search for "barnivore" on google you'll get a great site that shows you which liquors, beer and wine are vegan.

  • @wluchick @raanelom I have an Aussie friend who used to work at a winery in Australia, he only drinks the hard stuff. Why? I asked, and he then began to tell me about the harvesting process for grapes (and I assume this could carry over to grains as well). Apparently lots of critter end up in the vats, insects, snakes, mice etc... I told he was full of it, but he categorically confirmed his eyewitness account, and I believe him.

  • @IamUncledeuce Most beers are vegan. Some of them use "fish-glue" to filter the beer, but this isn't common anymore. Wine can contain gelatine, but i've never actually saw it on a label.

  • @raanelom *In Europe*, don't know how it is in the states.

  • @IamUncledeuce generally yes. c:

  • even a "quick death" is not right. ever.

  • I just became a vegan and its quite shocking on how much stuff we use everyday that's made with animal products

  • I love how ellen words everything. I don't think I've heard anyone explain it better.

  • Love this! Been vegan for a few years myself. Had no idea Ellen and Portia are. Cool. Continue to hope my 8 year old son and my husband jump on board one day soon. It's definitely hard to be around those you love when they eat products from animals (for love of animals, health of people, environment,... The list goes on).

  • I love Ellen for this. I just started being vegan after being a vegetarian for six years. This has given me strength to continue to be vegan. :)

  • What an amazing and intelligent person - Ellen speaks a truth that most of us just don't want to hear! Great to see genuine celebrities speak out and act upon genuine causes! Love it!

  • Ellen, I love that you can be a vegan and not be a snob about it! I'm a vegan for much the same reasons you are, but I also add to your views. I feel as though eating meat is eating the illnesses of other living things! Why eat disease? Geeee. I wonder why people in this country are so sick? Look at what so many eat! So Thank you Ellen for sharing your views without being a snob! Those snob vegans make us all look bad.

  • It's great that she saw the light about factory farming, and is such an animal welfare spokesperson, but she is also in commercials for Cover Girl, which is well known for still using animals for research in their products. People have been asking her for a long time to stop being a spokesperson for Cover Girl and make the company come clean about their use of animals. I love Ellen, but she needs to stop backing Cover Girl.

  • @jd1424 Despite Ellen doing commercials for Cover Girl, she's doing a great justice for animals as well as the planet and it's resources, not to mention her own personal over all well being, so I believe she does deserve a bit of slack. Ellen also lets the world know of her personal choice without degrading, mocking or doing what many vegans do, and make us look like a bunch of stuck up snobs.

  • @JBJund I didn't say she wasn't doing a great job in justice for animals. I actually commended her for it. It would be nice if she would just speak out against companies who are still using animals for testing on cosmetics, etc, like Cover Girl. Read my comment again.

  • Yes Ellen! I'm vegetarian and I hate people who try and justify eating meat. The only actual reason why people won't become vegetarian or vegan, is because they say "it's expensive" What? So your saying fruit and veg is expensive? Fuck them!

  • I do think that there are some good farms out there that treat their animals well. If you don't want to go Vegan and there is a small family farm near your home, look into their animals and see if they're being treated well. Most of the time small family farms produce much healthier and better tasting food than any super market could ever offer!

  • @TheUnderagedLiar "some good farms out there that treat their animals well." There are in fact farms that don't exploit, enslave, imprison, rape, torture and slaughter animals for mindless pleasure...they are called vegetable and fruit farms ;)

I don't demand that every cage be comfortable, I demand that every cage be empty!

    Peace

  • After six years of being a vegetarian I have FINALLY TURNED VEGAN!!!!!

Just yesterday I made this channel to document my journey as a teenage girl turning vegan in this non-vegan world!

It would be the world to me if you would come check out my channel and subscribe/stay tuned for more videos to come, because I have SOOO much planned and the more viewers the merrier!

    YAY VEGANS!

    <3 Rachel

  • wish i could record this and play it next time someone asks me why im vegan, perfectly articulated

  • I have been off and on vegetarian. It may just be time I make the change and go vegan. At this point I know for sure that I don't want to eat animals. They have a bad taste now. I do feel different when I am vegetarian. I would feel much better if I was vegan.

  • @FeatherCat2 "They have a bad taste now. I do feel different when I am vegetarian. I would feel much better if I was vegan." Yes, after a month without animals or animal products my definition of food changed. My eyes opened. I started go get my life and health back. I simply do not disrespect my body enough to ingest death anymore.

  • @FathomlessJoy Nicely said and what a great motivation. Thanks for your post. I don't call myself Vegan, only because I've had or have shoes or handbags made of leather, but to eat illness is just nasty and look what manufacturers are putting into stuff that's called food, or good for human consumption. It's so sad we are so stupid to buy that crap.

  • @FeatherCat2 Hey ya, you should so go vegan, im sure you will feel alot better, just remember to eat lots of carbs, get these mainly from fruit, supplemented with lots of veges.Check out the book 80/10/10 and 30bananas a day .com

  • But Olay does animal testing and Ellen DeGeneres advertises for them. How is that aligned with her choice to eat a vegan diet because she cares about animals?

  • Oh god....this is disgusting. See those canine-like teeth we have?

Oh well, ellen fans are a bunch of sheep who will downvote this comment into the ground anyway because they're all fat middle-aged women who have nothing better to do than watch day-time television all day while their husbands actually work for a living

  • @epicwinguyz You actually lose weight becoming a vegan, I don't have a husband, and I'm not middle aged.I actually work for a living too. lol So what I have canine teeth? I am a human being and I can choose to change my diet, unlike sheep and other meat eating animals who can't. Disgusting... you're sad.

  • @TheNolo73

another proof of the sheep nature of ellen fans - you assume everyone is fat and needs to lose weight, therefore veganism is healthy. For working men, soldiers, builders, farmers, and other active individuals (who don't lie on couches all day watching TV like ellen fans, gossiping about celebrities) you need to eat meat to sustain strength. Those are the people on which your comfortable lifestyle depend, so consider them before you start trying to guilt-trip the world to go vegan

  • @epicwinguyz You need to read your comments. You stated ellen fans were fat,I just reversed your claims. No one is guilt tripping you,you came here.If you feel guilty that's on you.Your comments are stereotypes and you are acting like one. It's called a troll.

  • @TheNolo73

look at the crowd at any ellen show - fat stay-at-home mums. congratulations you're not fat, i guess you're one in a million.

Vegans do try to guilt trip everyone else by pretending they're better than everyone else and saying shit like "go vegan!" and parading/showing off that they don't eat meat. I don't go up to vegans and say "go meat!" and make videos telling everyone that i eat meat and generally acting like i'm the messiah.

Vegans are morons with undue superiority complexes

  • @epicwinguyz I've watched Ellen's shows and you're lying.Meat eaters are proud and advertise their habits and wants all the time.Fast food ads, cooking and barbecue shows, sports events, the list goes on.We say "go vegan" because we're proud we're able to go against what we normally eat and consciously choose to eat food that isn't tortured and has a brain and feelings.I really doubt someone has come up to you and said go vegan.

  • @TheNolo73

LOL you can't seriously compare fast food ads, cooking shows etc as promoting meat-eating the same way vegan scum go around parading as though they're gods gift to the world? the difference, i will point out to you princess, is that they don't make videos specifically to try to convince other people to change their lifestyles to suit their own beliefs.

Did you know some plants can actually feel pain too? Google it, Murderer.

  • @epicwinguyz I don't beat my vegetables or torture them or preform medical experiments on them, please, lol. You're silly.

  • @TheNolo73

no, you just slice them up, squeeze the juices out of them to moisturize your face, and throw them in blenders for salads. you are a horrible murderer and you should feel ashamed.

  • @epicwinguyz Meat eaters like you are like children who want to eat junk food all the time not caring about the facts in eating that way, you just want it guilt free.

  • @TheNolo73

i don't eat junk food actually. my diet consists of alot of meat, broccoli, beans, dairy, cereal, rice, pasta, fruit & berries.

whats funny is that I'm almost certainly in better shape than 99% of vegans

  • @epicwinguyz You must be young to not understand metaphors so I'll not make fun of you. The evidence I gave to you on meat eaters parading themselves was overwhelming and that was just few but of course a meat eater closes his eyes so whatever. The more you write, the more guilty you actually come off.No one tells you to watch any vegan shows, it's America, freedom is it's fame remember?

  • @TheNolo73

yes and i showed you how you can't compare because meat eaters don't get in your face telling you whats right and wrong - unlike vegans. i couldn't give two flying hamburgers if you want to be vegan, its the "look at me i am a good person because i don't hurt animals" idiocy from city-dwelling females that irritates me. i'm not guilty at all i love eating meat it's delicious

  • @epicwinguyz You are in my face telling me it's wrong and you insult also. No one brought you here.Eyes wide shut.

  • @TheNolo73

i just like giving you scumbags a taste of your own medicine, cheers xoxoxo :)

  • @epicwinguyz epicwin for sure huh? Bu bye!

  • @epicwinguyz You are also afraid that this vegan thing will become popular and all your meat will be gone in the future. Too bad commenting here is the best you can do.I know, but hey that's life huh?

  • @epicwinguyz Meat eaters don't get in my face telling me what's right and wrong? Really? Let's take a look at commercials that are on tv. "Hey, have some meat, have some fast food, have some cheese, have some more meat, have some cheese with your meat, meat meat meat." It is all over the place. And family members, friends, always tell me how unhealthy being a vegan is (even though it's not and they're just not educated) and how animals are meant to be eaten, etc. Meat eaters are in our face.

  • @xoxamyyyy Don't forget the fast food place chick fil a, now we should eat chicken for breakfast to.....i feel your pain brother lol.

  • @xoxamyyyy Idiot. That's not meat eaters telling you what to eat. That is restaurants. That is business. If someone came up to you one the street, and said hey eat this meat you could say that. Since they don't why don't you do us a favor, and SHUT THE HELL UP!

  • Comment removed

  • @VGV1de0s No, I will not shut the hell up, because it most definitely is meat eaters telling me to eat meat. It is propaganda that has been shoved in our faces our whole lives. And, since you obviously can't read, I said that meat eating family members have constantly tried to convince me to stop being vegan. Meat eaters are in our face.

  • I love that Ellen is vegan and she is promoting it in a positive way, but I don't understand how she can continue to do commercials for Cover Girl, a company that still tests its products on animals. How does she make that disconnect?

  • you are not healthy, you are deficient in the essential vitamin B12, all because you think you don't need to eat meat!!!!!!!

  • Ellen you are a total freak of life!!! Animals are meant for us to eat to get the proper protein! being a lesbian bitch dyke is totally against the proper way of life!! you need to find yourself before you face your creator!!!!

  • @underpedz818 Wow, you need a psychologist, not a Bible.

  • @TheNolo73 I agree, definitely.

  • uhhhh ... eating plants still affects animal habitats

  • great! animal rights ! animal welfare is not enough !

  • it has been a process for me too. and just recently i made the full shift to vegan. i hope to stay there.

  • Is "carpet" a vegetable?

  • @Knots4Knives is kielbasa?

  • I live in a farming area in Australia. My family has good friends who are dairy farmers. The kind where the cows are happy and they go off and get milked each day then they return to their large paddock to be free. It's sad to hear that animals aren't all treated this way.

  • @shakat26 what do they do with the calf of each cow that is forced to be pregnant in order to produce milk? You know that cows need to be pregnant first in order to produce milk? How many babies do they produce each year? They have all those babies alive? What do they do with the males that do no produce milk? Your friends must have a lot of money to have lots of land and being able to care for all the happy cows and bulls they produce.

  • @shakat26 Although you may think the cows are happy to be milked, cows produce breasmilk for their calves, not for human consumption. Humans need cow milk as much as they need rat milk or camel milk--not at all. Breastmilk is meant for the offspring. :}

  • @TheConfettiDress the cows that are used for milking are not the same cows used for breeding, so it's not like we are stealing precious milk away from their offspring. educate yourself

  • @shakat26 but they are all killed at the EOD. if everyone become veg then there will not be hunger in the world.

  • @shakat26 "The kind where the cows are " LOL You are an adult, right? Is so, you may want to reconsider advocating violence toward animals in public. Just a thought.

  • @shakat26 On virtually all dairy farms male calves are killed immediately after birth. Also one of the main arguments for veganism is not necesarilly the treatment of animals, it is that we as humans don't have the right to steal products of other animals.

  • @shakat26 No offense, but there is no "happy" dairy cows really, as to produce dairy constantly, they must be artificially inseminated over and over, with either the fetus being aborted or the babies taken from the mother and sold as meat. This is done repeatedly until the cow can no longer produce milk and is slaughtered. This is done on every single dairy farm, otherwise dairy farming would not be economically viable. Not trying to insult you, just the stating the truth.

  • Been a vegan for a year and 3 months...I love it! :)

  • like ellen, i saw the fucking reality. its all i need.

  • Humans are meant to eat a plant based diet! The #1 cause of disease is the consumption of meat and dairy. Also the #1 cause of pollution is not automobile emissions, it's animal agriculture! Highly recommend watching Best Speech You Will Ever Hear by Gary Yourofsky on Youtube. Go vegan and be love now!

  • @sacredmirrors1 Actually, he's 50% correct. Realize that he's an extremist, not a dietician. Im back from hiatus. I was a vegan listening to videos instead of dieticians and doctors simply because it made sense. Actually. vegans are more likely to be anemic than a meat eater. Meat is a main source for B12, not eat meat increases the risk of a stroke, phosporus in meat are easier absorbed, high in protein, foods like fish (Omega 3) helps heart, etc.

  • @sacredmirrors1 Veggies can also cause cancer and other diseases. Boiling does not kill all bacteria on veggies/fruits. Fruits and veggie bacteria causes 3000 deaths a year in the states. There's nothing that says a VEGAN lives longer than a meat eater. Potato chips, twinkies, sodas, etc and the things that causes the real problems are not meat. Read before you watch these videos, ask a dietician, ask pros not this guy. He's no nutritionist.

  • @CALICOTV301 Yep, food's pretty dangerous these days, but a plant based diet reduces the amount of toxins one puts in there bodies. More people are sick, have memory loss, cancer, death etc. from meat than any other source. A dietician is in it for the money, like any Doctor, and they want you sick so you keep coming back for treatment and they line there pockets while making the majority of the population financially strapped.

  • @JBJund Eating an abundance of anything makes people sick. MEAT VS NON-MEAT is the debate. Not a fried plantain, or a eggplant or so which is veggie and can also get you sick. Not the eggplant, but the grease. So, despite which food you eat. Cancer is a genetic mutation in DNA. Too much vitamin c can cause cancer, prepared FOODS cause cancer, meat or veggie. It's not the food so much, it's the things that people add to the food that is the problem. Veggies contain nitrates which causes cancer

  • @sacredmirrors1 GOD put animals (certain animals) here to be eaten.....uh lol

  • Actually we have canines for a reason. And the only reason humans could evolve the means of questioning the ethics of reality is, ironically, by hunting and eating meat. I'm not a meat eater trying to justify anything, I'm actually a vegetarian and very much in agreement with the stance the killing non-human animals is wrong. However, when I see someone pose a fallacious argument I feel the need to respond.

  • @Harrymfink Actually, most herbavoires have 'canines' like ours. Canines teeth that in the mouths of humans are not ment for meat, rather they are used to bite apples and other hard veggies. I would like to see a human attack a live animal with their teeth and eat it that way. Good luck. I don't mean to be rude, and it's great that you are a veggie, but I felt the need to tell you that you are mistaken. Human's are not ment to eat meat at all.

  • Please explain why Homo sapien's ancestors made tools for cutting meat then? Explain why most archeologist come to the conclusion that the Great Mammoth went extinct from over hunting resulting in extinction? Flat teeth are for a herbivore diet and sharp teeth are for a meat eating diet. We have both because our ancestors ate both. I'm not sure how you can come to the conclusion that humans aren't "ment to eat meat at all." Explain how we aren't meant to?

  • @Harrymfink shut yo mouth mo fo and watch earthlings biatch

  • Assuming you read my comment it looks as though you can't answer my questions. Instead you assume I'm a meat eater and provide me with a documentary that will do nothing. I'm convinced that if anybody values there life for its inherent beauty then you should respect others. I'm a vegetarian. Maybe you should do more research on the topic biatch.

  • @Harrymfink My guess is that we are opportunistic omnivores. When we were hunters gatherers, we were mostly gatherers with small meat once a week. wasn't a main diet. Humans adapt so quickly, which was good for our survival, so in the ice age we over ate meat-bc that's all there was. Our teeth are sharp enough for puncturing fruit but not for tearing down a wild , live animal. Even apes have more fang than us. I think if people want meat, it needs to be less.

  • @Harrymfink FAQ at foodnsport. Hunter Gather Theory (article) at vegsource. Search Teeth Show Fruit Was Staple. Either humans migrated away from the tropics or climates changed (Since I'm from the UK, I know that the UK at least had a tropical climate which obviously changed). Man was forced to find calories from elsewhere in order to survive. However, man's physiology has not adapted to it and hence man is now living in a state of dis-ease. Peace

  • If telling you that we have canines for a reason, we can't digest cellulose and we have evidence of tools being used to butcher animals isn't enough, there's no hope for you.

  • @Harrymfink Due to a change of climate, man was forced to find calories elsewhere, hence the tools used for butchering animals being found. However, man's physiology has not adapted and hence man is now living in a state of dis-ease. If we had canines, we would be able to sink our teeth into an animal and enjoy devouring it's blood.

There are many raw vegans thriving on a raw food diet and many also who have healed from disease by eating this way. There are some examples on my channel. Peace

  • Archaeologist found/find tools in different locations all over the world dated to different periods. This isn't just climate change. It is true to say that our bodies aren't adapted to meet a sedentary, 3000 calorie a day diet. Eating fast food and smoking. But that is completely different from nomadic bands of Homo sapien hunting for food. Our teeth aren't not for attacking prey its for shredding flesh. Conversely, I'm not denying that veganism is a healthy, moral choice.

  • @Harrymfink Plus, even horses have canines -_-

  • @Harrymfink Carnivores have claws, sharp front teeth capable of subduing prey, and no flat molars for chewing. Herbivores have no claws or sharp front teeth capable of subduing prey, but they have flat molars for chewing. Humans have the same characteristics as herbivores, same intestinal tract ratio as herbivores, alkaline saliva just like herbivores too. Finally, you can get all the things you need from vegetables, soya, beans and so much other things that aren't animal products.

  • We do have sharp front teeth all the way to our first molar? But even I were wrong ( I'm not, stereoscopic vision is another characteristic of predators) that doesn't matter. We've found tools of which our ancestors ate meat. You can't deny this. It's a FACT. What more are you looking for. From one aspiring vegan to, I assume, another. We have better arguments than this fallacious one. I value my sentience thus I value all sentient life. There!

  • @Harrymfink I just aswered your question by looking at the Internet and scientific facts that even Albert Einstein reported. There's no need to be rude. You can do whatever you want with your life.

  • I'm sorry if you misinterpreted me calling you out on a fallacious argument as rude. And telling me that a physicist agreed with one of your points doesn't tell me anything except maybe you're looking in the wrong field of scientific research. Try biology or zoology next time.

  • Did you know horses used to be carnivores at a point in history ? They don’t anymore. You’re right when you say humans were hunters and ate meat, I am not denying that fact. But now, we don’t need it anymore and we know it. I am not basing myself on the way my ancestors ate, I just decided to avoid flesh because I know I don’t need it and because I would never harm an animal by myself. If I can't hunt it, I don't know why I would eat it. That's nothing natural to me

  • There is no logic in saying "we don't need it anymore." It's a statement of opinion and that's all. Luckily you don't discern what is natural and what isn't. I'll leave that to the scientific community.

  • Eating meat is immoral!!! /watch?v=6r5a9zDv0E8
