They have as much of a right to have a career as the cover as BADFISH does. They sold 17 million records and never got to do a major tour. i was lucky enough to see them with Brad a month before he died but most people never got that chance. I'm a musician as well. I understand what you are saying. It's a BAND not a solo artist. Simple as that. It is ok what Bud and Eric are doing.

Brad was the creative engine of the band though. He wrote all the lyrics. Which were all very personal reflections of his. He wrote all the chord progressions, which kinda are a big part of the song. Not to mention he came up with the vocal melodies.

Brad had a vision, a feeling, a philosophy through his life as an addict. Sublime was just that vision
