Good tip on stopping the samples over play each other.....beat was tight and the "finale" at the end was hilarious! Question...how do you select the bar or measure length for each scene? Getting my maschine this weekend....HELL YEAH!
@therealmelmac not sure what you mean by select the bar. You can use the transport left rigt arrows to scroll through your sequence (if thats what youmeant)

@BALbeatz Whats up man. You got what you need now. FL Studio is Crazy. Regardless of what ANYBODY may say about it, its one of the best programs out for creating music. I got pretty much every daw and I be on FL studio 10 Hard. Not ashamed to say it. Of course Maschine is my Weapon ! If I were you I would consider getting Maschine only if you are ready to learn it. Its not terribly complicated, but there is a learning curve. And you probably wont move as fast as you do on FL.
@KnockSquared About the DAW, I was wondering what are your thoughts on komplete (if you have that), also if i got a midi keyboard would I be able to use it with just the maschine software or would I have to use another DAW for that
@sikwitit123456 I love Komplete. I Have Komplete 8 . You dont need a Daw to use Komplete..you can open it in Maschine. Most of the Programs in Komplete run stand alone also.
@KnockSquared yeeep, I got mikro and i realized that if you take like 1 second in maschine to I don't know to change a parameter like a FX in mikro you take like 3 seconds...which is not bad...so the few more steps are more like few few! great skills knock squared
What's funny about MPC's is that when they came out............people said wtf is this........making music with a computer (box)..................now ppl criticize the computer.....hahahaha funny shit....................still millions on songs sold...........a synth is a computer.......................a least that's what those circuit boards say to me...................DEDICATED COMPUTER SYSTEM, limited but dedicated.......along with Motif, and Roland system..maschine is just a smart tool!!!!!!!

hmmmm...... can I answer this? i had mpc 500 & 1000 for two studios, but sold that while i could and bought maschine........... your workflow with protools will be FANTASTIC.........Just drag and drop midi / audio from maschine directly into separate tracks on protools, logic, or cubase.

@KnockSquared great work man, like the vid..maybe i'm just unexperienced and i liked it because of this but i think you're good, experienced or not experienced. was the main line a preregistered piece? i'd like t buy maschine but i'm afraid it would be difficult to put on it the music i like and i don't know how vast is the NI collection of sounds in the software and where i can find packets of sounds for it.
@LilFireworkz This is definitely an option in the software. I did this a while back when I still had a computer for Maschine. I can't remember the sequence but you can basically turn off the pressure response.
@LilFireworkz If you haven't figured it out yet you can hold the "pad mode" button and select the velocity tab. From there you can do 16 velocity or fixed velocity then set the desired velocity
just got maschine i love just having a problem when i make a beat using the stock drums for some reason each drum cancels out the ohter when i play at them same time if you can help i'll appreciate it

yo word up you can do all that on the MPC's but anyway the only problem I have with Maschine is the Processor dam it has to be PC based so they is no way that can compare to the MPC's I dont care what no one says. hey i realised if u want to choke the samples just make sure u r in group and that the arrow buttons under browse are all the wyt to the left.u should see polyphony just put it on one.save u messin with each sample.
Good Stuff Knock! I had the Maschine 2 weeks and I love it! I sold my MPC 2000XL for it...and I don't regret it one bit! Very easy to learn and fun to mess with it..im not having probs at all with cutting samples...im actually having Polyphony probs with drums.. I do my drums live in one take....and it seems when I try to play 4 sounds at the same time it cuts the 4th drum note one out.. I know it's probably something real something I'm missing too..Keep Doing Your thing...im subscribed!

@meandminespro7 I have reason also. I have used both together on my MAC (I havent tried it on my windows computer). Maschine has a virtual midi on the MAC side and you have both Maschine and Reason open and have reason be controlled (midi) by maschine. Its not to hard to set up. Only problem you may have is if your audio interface is not "multi-client" which means it allows you to have more than one program open.

what would you say the benefits of maschine were?, i dont understand why people pay so much money for this when you could just buy any midi pad controller and hook it up to kontakt or battery ?

@KnockSquared great work man, like the vid..maybe i'm just unexperienced and i liked it because of this but i think you're good, experienced or not experienced. was the main line a preregistered piece? i'd like t buy maschine but i'm afraid it would be difficult to put on it the music i like and i don't know how vast is the NI collection of sounds in the software and where i can find packets of sounds for it.

@LilFireworkz This is definitely an option in the software. I did this a while back when I still had a computer for Maschine. I can't remember the sequence but you can basically turn off the pressure response.

@LilFireworkz If you haven't figured it out yet you can hold the "pad mode" button and select the velocity tab. From there you can do 16 velocity or fixed velocity then set the desired velocity

yo word up you can do all that on the MPC's but anyway the only problem I have with Maschine is the Processor dam it has to be PC based so they is no way that can compare to the MPC's I dont care what no one says. Ok you can Plug this and plug in that to enhance it but have you ever MPC real sounds from akai with software plug ins added OMG sun. Yo im not knocking maschine im thinking about coping me one to try it but fat trak said it had problems does it crash? heard you cant pitch bend either

No diss to Fat Trak...but he obviously aint messed with maschine for a length of time. 1. 6update brings VST?au plug-ins. I owned MPC 2000 3000 and also MV 8000 ... Maschine is just as good if not better. Plus who says you have to look at the computer screen??? I dont even look atthe screen.. And also when i click save... its instant..LOL. Go try one out man... dont let people who obviously dont know tell you

@KnockSquared Thats whats up So it does have pitch bend , so the note varation slides and all that just works differant , I guess its just hard to picture lol with out a slide control lol

hey i realised if u want to choke the samples just make sure u r in group and that the arrow buttons under browse are all the wyt to the left.u should see polyphony just put it on one.save u messin with each sample.

Good Stuff Knock! I had the Maschine 2 weeks and I love it! I sold my MPC 2000XL for it...and I don't regret it one bit! Very easy to learn and fun to mess with it..im not having probs at all with cutting samples...im actually having Polyphony probs with drums.. I do my drums live in one take....and it seems when I try to play 4 sounds at the same time it cuts the 4th drum note one out.. I know it's probably something real something I'm missing too..Keep Doing Your thing...im subscribed!

knock thanks for getting back...so you do use reason..my question is can you flip a sample in mashine and rock it with the reason instruments.. i wanna be able to
flip the sample and bring it into reason record and layer the sample with reason sounds..can this be done ?

@meandminespro7 I have reason also. I have used both together on my MAC (I havent tried it on my windows computer). Maschine has a virtual midi on the MAC side and you have both Maschine and Reason open and have reason be controlled (midi) by maschine. Its not to hard to set up. Only problem you may have is if your audio interface is not "multi-client" which means it allows you to have more than one program open.
