I like all of three of their albums. St. Radigund's is certainly more acoustic but I love Bells, Boots and Shambles too for its pervasive sense of melancholy.
This is my favourite track from the albums of the best acid-folk band of the early 70s.They were monumentally talented but , as with the other Canterbury bands , they didn't pursue commercial success with any great zeal. Spirogyra were happy just being brilliant. God , wasn't music better back then !
