  • I'm completely American, 100% (But my brother was born in Italy. it's weird), but you wouldn't believe the respect I have for Russia. I completely hate the stereotypes against other countries. (Especially Russia and the Middle Eastern countries).

I was learning Russian for a while but then I got caught up in music and just stopped..

But I still know a little, so let me set my computer to Cyrillic letters..

    привет and хорошую работу!!

  • dude, invest in a good condenser mic and you should produce more tracks!

  • Just WOW... I was gonna tell you to check out my version of this song but it''s crap compared to this amazing piece of art ^^ great job buddy... =)

  • I really to appreciate the effort you've made to put this up. As a experienced mashupper I can say it's challenging job to put this arrangement together. And of course I liked what I heard!

  • Hello, I'm a French producer of electronic music. I need an acappella version of the scientist for a remix of The scientist - Coldplay. If you want, i can use your accapela in my remix... But i need it in a good version.. mp3 (320kbit) or wav

Can you send me a link where i can download it please ?

Thank you very much. Sorry for my bad english lol

  • What is this song from?

  • @gungnir2357 it's a song by the band Coldplay, called The Scientist, as the title states. One of Coldplay's best, in my opinion.

  • Very very good job man. This is what I use when I play the piano to this song haha

  • i love playing guitar along with this :D

  • impressive with just a $20 headset mic. I use Acoustica Mixcraft as well...what EQ settings do you use?

  • Better than the original! It's refreshing to see such originality.

  • WHAT?! Are you stupid? It's not better than the orignal.. not even near.

  • Много силно.

This is how you say 'profound' in Bulgarian.

  • holy crap that's so weird i thought it was russian :)

because in russian that's how you say "much strength" haha i was gonna say, that doesn't make any sense

    anyways, great vid badasscommy!

  • My husband is a tenor (sang college barbershop for years) and he really likes your rendition of this song. You did really well, I'm a soprano and I like it too!!!

  • r0x !!!

  • This nearly moved me to tears. You have a stunning talent, I hope you know that!

  • Oh my...

This one is even better than the last one I saw...

    Really great...

    Nobody said it was eaaaasyyy...

    Mucho beautiful!

  • wooah....♥__♥... cant say it in words! WUNDERFUL!!!!! GREAT JOB!

  • This is really cool :D actually, i was thinking about making a cover of the scientist like you did, but then i thought that maybe it wouldn't be a cool version, but you're showing that it is! Great job :P

  • Are you American? It said that you were based out of Russia... these are actually really good! Congrats!

  • Originally I'm Russian. American now too. ;)

  • You are NOT just a 'lowly' Bass. We are a proud people. Not everyone can do what we do.

  • Hehe, represent. ;)

  • GREAT! LOVE IT!!! I have always loved this song

And I use Mixcraft too ^_^ a great program.

  • u are the real scientist man

  • This one is definitely my favourite :) I smile every time I listen to it :) And I just love the part around 1:39 ;)

  • Awesome!

  • this is a fantastic arrangement. i love coldplay and this song. one suggestion though, if i may. try to make the lead vocal part a little sweeter and softer and it will be more effective and more in tune. you've got talent, the background stuff is near flawless.

  • i agree!

  • Very nice again, bac. I especially like the percussive sounds you make in the accompaniment. Your intonation is also very good, given that it's really hard, particularly in the falsetto.

You capture the character very well.

You really do an exceptional job at this. I think you could make a CD and it would sell.

How about some Kings Singers? What's your favorite? How about You are the New Day?

  • All done by you? THat's wicked man, you have a really nice falseto for a bass =P

Props man, the layering is beautiful!

  • nice

  • Hey Commy! Real nice song. This is your little sister! :D

  • have you done a cappella versions of any other songs? i'd be really interested to hear them..

  • wow, dude, that was all you?!!? very impressive. i love coldplay and your version of this song like that is awesome. keep up the good work!

  • its very good, very goood!

man keep posting this =] if you could post something with really bass notes i would apreciate.

  • great work!

what version of mixcraft did you use?

  • V 2.51 right now, but it could've been an older one at the time (this past spring).

  • So did one person do this entire thing by just overlapping recordings?

  • Yes. Like I said in the description, there are about 20 tracks toward the end.

  • good job

  • Great take on this song! The vocals that make up the instruments are incredible! They are very well thought out and put together; flows perfectly. However, seeing as how good the instrumental sounds are, it's hard to believe that those are your vocals because you almost sound tone def. I don't know much about music but if you could lay down the vocals again in a softer tone, it would be a better match for the soft melodies you are using for the instruments. I think you have it in you. Good luck!

  • Well, the intent was to have the solo stand out among the instruments, as it does in the original. I tried singing it with a sharper kind of quality to keep it from blending with the background too much. I'm sorry you didn't like that too much. I was mostly on pitch as far as I can tell, so I dunno about tone deafness...

  • I just read back what I wrote and it kind of sounds like I was trying to being malicious. I didn't mean for it to come out like that. It just sounds like you could lay down the vocals with a softer tone to your voice that wouldn't blend in like you think it might. For instance, even the last part of the song isn't as hard as the beginning. Overall, I think it is WELL DONE. I gave it five stars!!!!!

  • Hehe, no problem. Thanks for the comments and rating ;). Unfortunately I don't have the original tracks any more, so it'll have to stay as it is until I completely redo it someday.

  • absolutely amazing! i'm speechless... just as good as the original, and that's a huge compliment considering coldplay is one of my fav. bands, & this is my all-time fav. song!

  • LoL, it's the next day, and I'm here again XP

What can I say, I love it!

  • Oh lord, I'm in love XD

    About that mp3 hahaha

Oh god I can't stop listening to it... You made me happy ^_^

  • Impressive. Looking forward to more videos.

  • this is actually Phenomenal!

  • wow...impressive! keep up the great work =)

  • you have a very pretty voice. seriously, it's really good.

  • oh man, this is very great ! i need it on mp3, please =)

  • what program did you use to make this? this is amazing...

  • I rarely ever comment videos.

And i think i should comment and tell you this is truly really good.

    good job :)

  • Damn... this is good.

BUT THEY'RE TAKING FOREVER ON THEIR NEXT ALBUM AND I'M MAD.

  • a little better than the original...5 *

  • may i have an mp3 of it? ;D

  • I really liked this rendition: it was very haunting and melodic. ^_^ Well done!

  • THIS IS AMAZING

    i dont even like coldplay

this just blew me away man...well done

  • Hey guys, thanks for the positive response! I use a program called Acoustica Mixcraft. It cost around $40, but hey, it was worth it. The mic I use at the moment is just a cheap $20 headset mic.

  • that is so awesome, what program did you put it all together with?
