Mickey can carry more special weapon ammo.

Greg, in fact, cannot take an extra hit, but stays in Danger Mode for a shorter time, which is just as useful.

The only advantage to using anyone but the green guy is the other two pilots weapon gets bigger faster. They all end up with the same size gun in the end however so I use the green guy since he takes more hits. I've beat this game on the hardest difficulty as well.

There were less levels in the SNES version I believe, but more aircraft. Also there's no 2 player mode in the SNES one =/

I don't think this game counts as, "obscure," as it was a launch title for the SNES. But this game is indeed one of the best ever made!

It's not a bad game, but one of the levels right before the enemy base is a BITCH. It's the cave one.

Wow. I LOVE this game. One of my most frequent rentals. Unforgiving as hell and took me forever to beat it. Felt so good too lol. :)
