  • There should be a replacement for Concorde. I fell in love with this plane since my childhood :)

  • I really would love to see concord fly again before I die..

  • ---Concorde's Successor---

    The Future is Fast...

    See channel for info...

  • @marlok1964 As a follow up to my comment, this was NOT a public document package, very few people received this promotional package and is therefore very, very rare...

  • BEAUTIFULL 1:30

  • I will NEVER forget living under the flight path and watching the Concorde every evening. My daughter when she was young used to call it the Rocket Plane. To see it from the M25 was a sight as well, climbing away as it passed overhead. Used to frighten lots of people from "out of town"!

  • Isn't that a Tu-144 at 0:13?

  • yes it is. Not very clever to put it in there

  • It is hard to tell what is at 0:58 but I would say that it is Concorde judging by the fact all the people are staring and the 747 doesn't have that kind of power to the people

  • 0:58 is not a Boeing 747 ill tell you that since it has a delta wing and a 747 is way bigger

and why would everbody be looking at a 747 unless their all aviation enthusiasts its Concordes engines which made you look and its beautiful body

everybody looked at Concorde even dogs

  • That's what I thought too :)

  • At 0:58 that's a 747 $tupid

  • @Algonquin30 can u not see the delta wings it is hardly a 747 open your eyes

  • At 0:58 that's a 747 moron

  • god damn air france company is probably the shittiest air line in the world

  • The crash wasn't Concorde's fault anyway.

  • Partly it was.

  • No way

  • Norway

  • Norway :D oh well :)

  • whats the name of the song and whos the artist?

  • "Won't let you fall" by Fergie

  • WTF is up with the music. Its a freaking airplane, show some respect!

  • Hes never gonna let go of the plane...=P

  • i would love to see concorde take to the skies again shes definetely something the british and french can be proud of !

  • 0:12 is Tu-144 the sovietic copy of Concorde.

  • i was told around 20 to 30 planes were holding on heathrows runway for concorde to land on its last flight!!!!

  • If you think that's special - BAA allowed BA to make Concorde a priority aircraft, meaning that if it was ready to take off, it would take off. Aircraft were always held back for Concorde to take off at LHR.

  • i do remeber somthing now at jfk concorde used another runway to takeoff while subsonic planes had to wait!!!

There was probaly about a line of 30-40!!!

  • Blueprint is from Tu-144, not Concorde.

  • i'm telling u mate. is not, look at the wings shape. is not a concorde.

  • dreadful song

  • the pictures at 0:58 wasn't a concorde

  • Of course it is after take-off !!!!!

  • It is you moron.

  • it was the tire what made it set on fire, i got told this at the mueseum where u can go and sit in the cockpit and all that it was mint its bigger than u think lol

  • the Tu-144 had his first flight 69^^

  • The TU-144 flew in '68.

  • who cares????

  • i get a f*&king tear in my eye looking at the concorde with this heart felt music...

  • you got the wong dractions to concorde

    thats the TU-144

  • you know, they only made 16 of these planes.

they stopped making them because they were too expensive.

I really wish the could make them again.

to make them cheaper couldn't they use Kevlar or something like that?

  • They made 20 and they stopped making them as no-one would buy them, not because they were expensive.

Kevlar? You seriously don't know what you're on about. That's just stupid.

  • Comment removed

  • I only meant Kevlar for part of the plane, not the whole one (They are already doing that for military fighters.

People did buy them, they were too expensive.

you need to get the facts straight

  • BA and AF bought some with the remained being forced on them. When I said no-one, it was quite obvious I meant airlines other than those two.

And no, they were not that much more expensive to buy than other aircraft - that's what your comment suggests, the unit price.

The operating cost wasn't a problem providing the market could sustain it, so it's all relative.

Don't tell me to get my facts right when it's you who needs to understand context, not only with what I say, but also what you say.

  • They were master works! they are missed.

  • SUD aviation didn't have a direct part in design, it merged with Nord aviation to form aerospatiale, they, and BAC designed and built it. BTw i doesn't have canards

  • LEGEND!!!!!the b787 and a380 is his bitch!!!

  • it's funny u got the plans of the russian plane Tu-144 at 0:10 instead of Concorde :p

  • the best plane

  • so sad.

  • The people in Dubai eh? Good Luck

  • They need to build another version of the Concorde. The people in Dubai or Saudi Arabia have enough money to fund a project like this.

  • sad

  • I wouldn't say poor design, just overlooked.

In aviation, you never know about a design fault until it actually plays a part in a incident. Sadly this particular one stuck a few nails in the 'cordes coffin.

    Terrible shame.

  • Comment removed

  • @spinaway Then again.. 1,418 747's were built while only 20 Concordes + 6 prototypes

  • @TonyFirelli Yes but Had the runway been swept properly concord would not have crashed on this occasion.

  • concorde had a 100% safe flying record...it was all because of the runway having debree on it... shows how good they are at cleaning

  • a truly beautiful aircraft...if it was any other air crash other than concorde it would have been forgotten about but because it was everybody remebers it its such a shame that it came to an end, and as for it being air france's fault it wasnt it was the fault of the airports ground crew who should sweep the runway to check for debris such as that piece of metal if it wasnt for them usless frogs she would still be flying today...

  • A poor design was at fault. It was a catastrophe that was just waiting to happen. The bottom of the plane did not have sufficient protection in case of a tire blowout and they knew about the problems for years.

  • They also werent overly fuel efficient. Cost to much to run :P

  • Go blow Clinton, Iraqi killing sicko

  • what a wonderful piece of modern day engineering. ill just haft to add to the list of things i may never do:

    1) drive a gm ev1

    2) fly in a concord jet

    :(

  • Us Brits don't make anything anymore, we kept getting shafted over by corrupt governments and the Yanks (re TSR2), so most of our engineers now work for someone else. Concorde was our finest moment in our aviational history and probably our final one. Shame I never got the opportunity to fly in her, we took a big step backwards when she stopped service. With todays economic climate and the green warriors having thier way, we'll probably never see it again either.

  • Wonder why you have done nothing apart from being envious at other countrys creations and only liking your own (Deformed 747)

  • Soo good!

  • Good Plane. Careless AirFrance. :l

  • how are they careless

  • why cause the crash. acually read what happened ull relize it wasnt there fault at all

  • shut the fuck up the Concorde was the best plane to hit the skies you mother fucker!

  • I bet it crashed because some snakes snuck on board the plane and Samuel L Jackson missed his flight.

  • For many years,on the south shore,in the Province of Nova Scotia, Canada, you knew it was 2:35 GMT without looking at your watch. There was faint boom as Concorde had left JFK and broke Mach 1.

A few times Concorde did precautionary landings in Halifax(CYHZ) and word spread fast she was comming in. If not fly on her, watching her land as dirty as she could be(drag wise of course) was simpily wonderful.

  • i saw the concord land at kellogs airport in battle creek michigan. for the 1st and last time ever truely amazing its hard to believe out of all the americian aircraft that have crashed concord loses 1 and its the end

  • concord was a beautiful piece of engineering. shame :/

  • thats what im saying man!!!!

  • i love concorde 1976-2003 and the song is won,t let you fall by fergie nice song also the song parts play at the appropriete times when it is sad and happy

  • Thank you for the comment

  • too bad, hope it will re-enter the aviation one day safely

  • i think they plan to fly one in 2010... also more SSTs are being developed

  • Concorde was a beauty queen of the skies for 27 years as well,1976-2003 british airways and air france were the only two operators of it and good song

  • Can I just point out that the silhouetted drawings shown early in this video were of the Russian Tu144 and NOT of Concorde...

  • wtf?! the concorde still works at least the air france one does. like they still fly?!

  • Non of them fly anymore!

  • I cannot believe you just wrote that. You are a disgrace and at least should be banned from you tube

  • Hey i like the song. what is the name of it?

  • "wont let you fall" by fergie

  • *•.¸(*•.¸☺♥☺¸.•*)¸.•*´

    ☺♥«´¨`great video´¨`»♥☺

    ☺♥.¸.•*(¸.•*♥*•.¸)*•.¸.♥

  • Concorde was built by BAC and Aerospatiale not Sud Aviation

  • And the first flight was from Filton, Bristol to Farnborough on 9th April 1969.

  • touching

  • thats ok

  • its fergie anyway she plays it in posidon

  • whats the song.

  • i cant rember sorry about that

  • i found the song it is called "wont let you fall" by fergie

  • was the text box on the right the tower and the plane speaking to each other?

  • ...THe diagram in the begining of the film isnt the concorde...Its the Russians' Tupolev TU-144..Look it up, concorde doesnt have flaps that come out of the top of the plane

  • i know but that is being discontinued.

  • "It crashed once"....... name a plane who hasnt!!

  • No kidding. One crash in how many years of service? I bet more then half of Boeing's 747s have gone down......

  • incidents happen every now and then!! and so what?? so if the cause was the accident we must take down half of the worlds fleet init! stupid.... too expensive to maintain... i agree on that one though. albeit it wasnt an expensive and slow aircraft!

  • Too true, American Airlines stll fly 350 MD80's they must be as expensive to run, and yet they're not being taken out of service

  • Beautiful

  • the guy who made this video must be a english. Because you show in the first part only british airways concorde and then " until an AFr concorde take off " and give us the impression that air france got all wrong. This is so weird. By the way I thing air france concorde are much more beautiful then the british one. Last comment, euh the drawing in the beginning has nothing to do with concorde. It the russian pladgia one.

  • Shut up

    British Airways FTW

  • Im sorry about that, but am not english im irish. sorry if it caused offence

  • no probleme I was just making a remark!

  • I think that ur just a frencj arse to be honest, typical u always take things personally, ur argument is pretty weak though seeing as the British Airways and Air France Concorde liveries are almost the same anyway

  • r u talking to me

  • Comment removed

  • why the fuck did they retire this plane?!? it was the greatest plane ever made!!!

  • too expensive to maintain and the incident

  • Well idk about the greatest plane ever made, but it was such an awsome plane. I mean so much has improved today, and safety as well. I actually do wish the concorde was still around, but it will alwyays be on the top ten of the best planes ever made.

  • They were master works! they are missed.

  • The Concord was one of the greatest aircraft ever built.. a real classic.. its too bad what happened. Concord pilots were first class.

  • im sorry what?

  • that picture around 1:07 is a great pic but i wonder how they got it from that high

  • It can be photographed from another plane....what about jet fighter...

  • yep too bad, i so wanted to take the Paris-NY flight at least once.

  • good tribute too this great plane

  • Thank you

  • The scematics you show are of the tupolev not the concord

  • yea i no but thats being canciled aswell

  • hmmm pretty weird what happend wasnt that strip of metal from another planer plane yet concorde got the blame o well good vid

  • "until a french concord took off"....

It sounds like you are saying that french are guilty....

  • No i said an AIR FRANCE concorde as i the airline it could just have eaisly been a BRITISH AIRWAYS flight.but thanks 4 da comment

  • Hehe, thats allright man. Anyway, the video is nice

  • cool video nice
