What sets him apart from a lot of artists overseas is that he knows how to dig deep into his soul and express emotional vulnerability with conviction; this is a gift because it is not common amongst most Korean/East Asian singers. More East Asians have to learn to channel soul like this much more in singing and everyday practical ways too.

everybody knows he has awesome vocals(and superb voice quality), but being able to bare your soul on stage whilst singing is not easy. i always feel that this is his most precious gift,his connection with the audience. he makes his audience feel the same depth of emotion by revealing his own vulnerability. thats why im so attached to this singer too...
