This film had nothing in the least to do with the real Edie Sedgwick or Andy Warhol. It was a cheap rip-off. Once again, someone was trying to make some quick money out of legends like Andy and Edie. If someone wants to know something about the real Edie, they should read Jean Stein's biography "Edie: American Girl", edited by George Plimpton, that was published in 1982. That's the real deal.
Please bare in mind that this movie has twisted the truth almost completely for artistic benefits- the story of Edie and Andy did not play out htis way - she was not as loyal to him in real life. Nevertheless, I think this movie is fantastic; it totally captures life of this period in time, and I wish we could all experience it again for (my) generation.

Actually I don´t speak english, but I´m gonna try. There´s something in Andy Wargol that makes me impossible to hate him, but at the same time I know that he, not at his start, but when he was a star already, it was all he cared about. On the other way, he created great thins and he was innovational. I think he has son psichological problems, but what great artist hadn´t, and what would they had been without them.

It is! It took me FOREVER to figure that out and then I finally realized that it IS David Bowie. I hadn't heard that song in years and I LOVE it. It's called "Life on Mars".
Whoever the hell was playing Bob Dylan in this movie needs to be taken out back and shot, it was an absolute disgrace. I can't figure out how they managed to make such a terrible movie about such interesting people. You'd think there would be more than enough REAL history to make a worthy movie.
I'll give this movie one thing; Sienna really does look like Edie in it. It's actually a little bit spooky at times. But that's pretty much all the positive things I have to say about it.

Hayden did HORRIBLY as the Bob Dylan character. The guy isn't really supposed to be just Dylan, but a compilation of several people. But Hayden really did a bad job, because he's just an awful actor.
apparently they got the story all wrong and Bob Dylan was trying to prevent the film from release because it portrayed him as the dominating reason for Edie's "suicide". Edie kicked on for ages after breaking whatever she had up with Dylan.
She didn't even really date Dylan, she just had a huge crush on him. She didn't stop being crazy about him until she found out he had gotten married in secret. She did date his second hand man, I forget his name though.

This movie was total crap but, Sienna Miller and Guy Pearce did an AMAZING job! Too bad they had such a sh*t script. It's one thing to take liberties but quite another to make stuff up.

this film is to be perfectly frank, rubbish. the reason they picked sienna miller to play her is they wanted someone pretty and slim. it saddens me that this is the first and possibly last glimpse most people will get of edie sedgwick. if you want a true glimpse and a good film watch ciao manhattan.

i saw it online, it's not bad. but!
1. hayden as "bob dylan"....the worst casting job ever.
2. the whole edie and warhol is captured well. but i don't agree with the whole edie and 'the bob dylan' ordeal. you can't base a large part of the movie on a relationship that you don't have the details to/don't even know really existed.

Katie Holmes play Sedgwick. She hasnt got the grace or presence. Its a joke to think they thought of Katie, I think it was just rumored, and if that were to happen that way there would be allot of pissed off people

Thats what i first thought too when i heard that a long time ago. But after looking at old pictures back when katie used to smile naturally they do have a smiliar smile.

I didnt even know of Edie until just a matter of days ago but after looking at pictures of her she reminds me of a girl i once knew,same baby face,same turned up button nose,same beautiful deep brown eyes,and same totally OTT addiction to heroin and other drugs.what is happening...

Whoever the hell was playing Bob Dylan in this movie needs to be taken out back and shot, it was an absolute disgrace. I can't figure out how they managed to make such a terrible movie about such interesting people. You'd think there would be more than enough REAL history to make a worthy movie.

I'll give this movie one thing; Sienna really does look like Edie in it. It's actually a little bit spooky at times. But that's pretty much all the positive things I have to say about it.

Andy Warhol was a character of his own, and this movie looks great, im gunna see it just to see hayden as dylan and how dylan is played (HUGE BOB DYLAN FAN)and to those who thought he was a weird prick and too richm you can go f yourselfs, no one is weird, and you dont know if hes prick or not, have you guys met? Hayden did HORRIBLY as the Bob Dylan character. The guy isn't really supposed to be just Dylan, but a compilation of several people. But Hayden really did a bad job, because he's just an awful actor.

apparently they got the story all wrong and Bob Dylan was trying to prevent the film from release because it portrayed him as the dominating reason for Edie's "suicide". Edie kicked on for ages after breaking whatever she had up with Dylan.

She didn't even really date Dylan, she just had a huge crush on him. She didn't stop being crazy about him until she found out he had gotten married in secret. She did date his second hand man, I forget his name though.
