I know of quite a few in the $50K range. Either way, it's not about what you spend as much as where you spend it. Unimogs generally aren't cheap, neither are surplus deuce and a half's. Comparing a mog to a Jeep, is like comparing a 747 to a Cessna.

It's true that the Hummer and the Unimog is very different in design. Most interesting, is that the Unimog has just as new technology in most parts as the Hummer.

But, the Hummer was designed for something different, and that is to drive in the tracks of a tank, or a bad road, at relatively high speeds.

Don't do that in a Unimog, it's simply not designed for that.

Going slow, trough difficult terrain, and pulling stuff around though, the Unimog is great at that.

Whats funny is the poster compared it to a Jeep. If you want to see a Jeep do that, just search... it's called Urban Wheeling and it's been around at least 15 years because some of us poor knuckle heads lived in areas where not much wheeling was available, so we tried to flex on walls, abandoned cars, concrete posts, dumpsters, mall landscape after hours lol, you name it.
