All the people who are trying to talk about them fighting... Saenchai fights at 130... Buakaw fights at 150-153... Physically Buakaw is way stronger and thus more powerful. It wouldn't be a fair fight. It's not even a 5-6 pound difference, people amaze me with their stupidity or just straight up ignorance to the sport. There are weight classes for a reason dipshits, it's got nothing to do with who's more skilled as a fighter.

@Shyuum No i do not, but it is general knowledge that Saenchai is number one in his rankings. No need to get nasty to someone you don't know. We're all just here to watch some entertaining video's and share our opinions through comments. the weakness of buakaw is that he is not a first class boxer, he fights too strictly to the tradional skills of muay thai ( allthough wonderful). a good and agressive boxer who is allways doing pressure and fightin at close range will win against buakaw.

@albcorason. No need to be a first class boxer. The problem with K-1 Max rules is that you can't effectively use the clinch. Boxers very weak in clinch. Also K-1 rules against elbows handicaps the thai boxers. Change the rules and then see how boxer does vs thai boxer. Thai boxers still do quite well despite the rules handicap.

@wsilvafan mr. thnx for the comment. the rules of k1 are the same for two oponnets , they have to deal with that fact, if the rules changes, than we have another perspective of fightin, the point is what is more efficient in the distance in the k1

@albcorason I do agree that the rules are the same for both opponents, and yes the competitors have to adapt and deal with it if they choose to fight within those rules. You do have to also admit that K1 rules are restrictive and definitely favor the less well rounded fighters (i.e. the better boxers). ‘Kick loses to punch, punch loses to knee, knee loses to elbow, elbow loses to kick’. When you take away these techniques you handicap the more rounded fighter.

@italykickboxing-Saenchai has fought many people who are quite a bit larger than him and absolutely dominated them. One of the reasons he got so famous. Saenchai uses his small size to his advantage constantly by having an advantage in elusiveness.

@TheKruRosu Dude I think Saenchai's like at least 20lb lighter, and I know Saenchai gives up a lot of weight sometimes to fight.... but I think that's waaaaay too much. That's pretty much the same as asking for Yodsanklai v Saenchai. P4P Saenchai might be better, but the fact is Saenchai is MUCH lighter and it wouldn't be fair.

Now ask for Yod v Petrosyan or Saiyok v Petro or so on :)
