  • Looking roughly as good as a Jag E-type.

  • Wicked Like a Ford GT, Classy like a V12 Vantage

  • I gotta say, this is a handsome lookin car

  • am i the only one who thinks this car looks alot like the ford gt/gt40?

  • this should be their 50th aniversary car

  • price this like an R8 and you've got me as a future Miura Owner.

  • Looks like a 70's American muscle car

  • Damn this car is perfect. Absolutely nothing needs to be changed on it. A huge shame, that these will not go into production.

  • this is better than the sesto elemento

  • its a nice car, but my problem is that it looks so much like the original that it would take away some of the fun and glory of owning the original, if they put it into production this body style would become much more common so seing or owning an antique miura wouldnt seem as special

  • CEO/President Stephan Winkelmann said:

"a celebration of our history, but Lamborghini is about the future. Retro design is not what we are here for. So we won’t do the [new] Miura.”

^^ We want this car though!

  • @Beolex phuck is he dumb then

  • if it's not going to be released can I have this one ? :-)

  • Non vale un cavolo. L'originale trasmette potenza, fascino, prestazioni solo a guardarla. Questa rivisitazione in chiave moderna è un autentica......trovate voi un aggettivo dispregiativo.

  • As a Lamborghini purist, I resent the fact that AUDI of all people have had the audacity to re-design Bertone's classic.

Having said that, Audi have kept quite faithful to the original design except that they've shortened the bonnet and the front spoiler needs to be re-worked so that it blends in more.

  • this is forza motorsport 3...!!!

  • everyone who wants this car to be made isn't a true Lamborghini fan, Lamborghini doesn't re-make cars and never wil

  • ummm you guys are looking at a car from forza lol

  • Wow. I'd buy one and i can't even afford it! .... would be nice if the stance was a bit lower and wider. Perhaps a tad bit longer?

  • I'll have to see Adrian over at Lamborghini St. Louis, to bush this "bad boy" through. I see him all the time. Dude,Where's my Miura?

  • Its an absolute shame, and I feel a financial mistake for Lamborghini to not make this design a production reality. Its simply amazing.

Well, its their loss. Watch as other companies over time steal some styling cues from this and build a different car.

  • Omg lamborghini make the car you won't be disapointed or give the design to someone who will!!!!!

  • fat better looking than the 8c

  • There's nothing wrong with modernising an old design, especially if it's a 'classic'. Look at the Porsche 997 Turbo S. Would you describe it as retro? I think Lamborghini are making a huge mistake not producing this car. Furthermore, I think they should commit to ongoing development of it. This is why Porsche have the pre-eminent position in the supercar market.

  • I think it's superior to the original, which is my favourite car design of all time. Note how de'Silva has shortened the overlong bonnet and shifted the passenger compartment forward? Sweet.

  • Gorgeous concept! Too bad Lamborghini won't build it, it would be a huge hit. The original Miura looks futuristic even today, this retro concept will also age well. If Lambo won't build it, somebody should!

  • If only this car concept was a reality, regardless of the fact that it's modern, it would have still revived the spirit of the old Miura. I think back in the day, this car had such a strong magnitude that it didn't get any negative reaction. I believe Lamborghini decided to pull back from this concept car becoming a production car because it could've have not lived up to the expectations of the old Miura both in the way it was perceived by the public and in the way it would perform.

  • i love this car... i would buy it if i could...:((

  • i love it

    the best retro design ever

and a great design for a car

the only wrong on this, that VW are the producer in the backround

its not lamborghini its a VW

  • I dont like car manufacturers going backwards in styling, but we'll let Lambo off for this. (;-) Its a timeless shape and so was the Ford GT40, which is why Ford did the right thing also with the GT!

  • Sorry to upset the applecart but I'd say

...don't build it....Lamborghini should always be about the future, the extraordinary and do what they do best, think forward, not the past like almost every other car manufacturers have done (Fiat 500, Chevy Camaro, Ford GT)

This retro BS is whats wrong with car design...in the 50s, they thought of the future, 50 years later, designers do nothing but think of the past

  • Very nice!

  • I prefer the old Miura. But it still looks beautiful.

  • build this car just like the concept. dont change anything at all. if you do it'll mess the car up. sometimes people fall in love with the beautiful princess concept car then the company trots out some big fat heffer mundane stepsister that with beer goggles looks like sort of but falls way short of the concept. in other words we want the princess not the heffer stepsister.

  • they need to change the sides color thats all

  • yeah maybe something vintage.

  • it is very nice!!

  • They should so go retro with a modern twist this car is nice. sorry the car minus those nasty rims.

  • if lambo do this car and not only as a concept

will make a lot of money

concept cars only have one reason to be: make us dream

  • WAKE UP LAMBO!!! make this fricken car. VERY IMPORTANT!!!

  • Lamborghini for ever...

  • Gorgeous-perfection, now "go & build it lambourghini before you change your minds" !

  • かっちょええ!!

  • this looks like a muscle car...

  • it does, with more elegance and the italian twist

or maybe.. because the older version of the miura has been the design standard of american cars since

  • or maybe the american start to copy since. like everbody else lol

  • to BT MAX....... bugatti is italian too....

  • bugatti es frances, ettore bugatti la fundo en francia negro

  • ye but ettore bugatti is 100%italian mister cuccaraccia

  • oh boy very nice :)

  • i think i just soiled myself

  • italians do make good cars, im glad to be half italian brap brap ! lol, but germans make brilliant cars too, porsche, bugatti mercedez......

  • This car is awesome. Italians is the only nation, that make good car now.

  • i think that car is sick. way better than the alar or embolado

  • wish they would make it,but it would likely compete with lamborghinis other models so those sensible germans wont make it unless it is only for limited production.

  • Makes me sad because I know there not going to do it, look at the other new lambo's now:( it lost a little something when the Germans took it over. but I guess theres a good and bad to everything.

  • this should be a specail edition maybe only 66 sold since the original came out in '66 or 50' anaversary so they sell 50 of them i unno

  • wow, they have to make that car!!!!

  • hot damn that is a slick car! wonder what the specs on the engine will be.

  • Nice design. but ive never been a fan of retro remakes like the challenger, mustang, camaro etc... You can't replace the original and when they make these retro cars these days its just insulting. I would much rather have an original than a modern day version of a great car =)

  • you are right the orginals are what make the car brilliant but the remakes are stil very good cars but with the same name thats it the ford mustang is brilliant the dodge charger new 1 is brilliant there all new fast american cars cheap afforable straight line performance

  • to jellyhawk1-I had the chance to fully live those times, and eventhough it has never been rated as a great sport car,Miura set itself as an unequalled legend on 4 wheels.

I dislike replicas or remakes overall, but I say De Silva did a fairly good job.

Starting from one of the most exciting bodyshells ever seen on earth, and updating it of 40 years well...not actually an easy game.

Omop.he missed the windscreen/hood angle:may be the wheelbase imposed mandatory choices about it.

    Greetings.

  • what are you comparing? usa crap companies with absolutely shitty designers which just copy what their ancestors did.... and italian supercar maker with insane traditions ?

my point is - most cars made in USA sucks ass... unless they are more than 20-30 years old.

  • simple and slick...

  • they should make this car into production

  • This is passion!! I certainly hope they build this one.

  • lamborghini are so stupid for not making it! Damn Nice Niura

  • Tasty...looks so much like the old Miura, but so modern!!!

  • What a stunning automobile.

It needs black rear window louvres like the original and it would be perfect.

  • best car ever

  • thats cool!! i love the old yet new design!! it would be cool if it had a really loud motor.

  • looks strikingly similar to a Ford GT from the side...

  • ya the ford GT frobably got its body design from the miura....so who knows

  • touche my friend, touche.

  • If its cheaper than the gallardo well maybe...

  • I sooo want that car!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • love this car, just like the ford GT a nice modern recreation of an absolute legend

  • Such a disappointment.

The old miura used to look like it was designed by a playboy, a kid with insanity over practicality in mind. This. This is too well sorted, too clean and tidy, too mature, which actually spoils the basic concept. A contemporary waste of metal this.

  • well don't worry, this car is made of pixels not metal.

  • I did see the actual concept at the Goodwood FoS '06 and did it look like if it was made of pixel

  • what the hell sameerfair, are u trying to be some sort of full on ethical car entusiast, sorry u seem like a complete tryhard to me. A contemporary waist of metal this? to well sorted, too clean, too tidy? what the hell!!!??!!?!?! that's what they do with old cars when they recreate them. they refine them and actually make them look 21st century. the miura was well sorted for it's time, it's just old. do actually expect them to make an ancient 1960's looking thing?

  • Why not. Is it necessary for a car to be ethically compromised for the sake of the ambient styling. Then you are doing nothing but adding to the ambience. These cars are special, so they have all the right to stand out of the crowd. I hope you get my point this time. :)

  • the back looks a little bit with the lp640 murcielago

  • Too bad they won't be making this...

  • Doesn't work after first second or two...

  • it looks nice but i'd lower the rear a bit and give it a mild wing, spoiler (fin like on a muscle car. and many ppl said this.......remove the front spoilers and make the rims smaller...but this new miura is better than the old one that got replaced....i beleive it i sa good thing that lamborghini is bringing back this car... they also should bring back the diablo....both nice^^

  • it cuts out at 0:09 for me

  • x2 :(

  • same for me then i have to skip over it. is i tm eor is ther eno music? caus ehtere is another vid that i found of the same media but has an ambient sound track...

  • Almost as beautiful as the original, but the rims are definately too big (who started that crazy and dangerous fad anyway?)and I also think that the front lower valance/splitter looks naff, they should do without it. The rear end is elegant, if not as striking as the original.

  • That looks awesome. Lamborghini and VAG please make this car!

  • I like to drive this car on PGR4 lol

  • that looks desperately pretty

waw, wouldn't mind driving around in that piece of art

  • i prefer gallardo

  • what a wonderful car...

the italian style is the best

  • Miura marked an era - that's beyond anykind of

rating about its actual value as a sport car-

Conceived after the great Ford GT40 both marked their days worldwide on tracks and on the roads.

Concept : a true beauty but a mere style exercise with no more a world around it=

Sad regrets from a Miura lover who intensely lived those years=

  • i like it

  • Nice - but not with the "REAL MAN - NOT A BOY"-Flair of the Original... ;-)

  • they need to ditch the little wings on the front, put smaller rims on it, and then it'd be good.

  • you know what sucks i always dreamed when i was older i could get a sweet 2007 corvette likes the ones now obviousley cause its 2007 but when im older cause im only 14 im gonna be stuck with all the stpid fuckin concept cars alll the compaines keep coming up with

  • like the old one???

    it`s looks from the 70 ???

    I HATE IT

    SO BAD LAMBO !

  • you dont know the History of the car? Lambo would not have been invented if it wernt for this...the the GTO would not have been invented if it wassnt for the Mustang.

  • you cant design better car until you spell CAR right

  • HAHA nice one!

  • sweet car is it gonna be for sale on the market

  • true the miura is my favorite car of all-time, actually second behind the ferrari F-40, and this new miura interestingly actually looks nearly bettr, the good thing is that its very similar

  • McDrummerSLR - even your name sounds stupid. This stupid piece of crap your telling is on the top 5 most beautiful cars in the history of automotive design. Who's crap now dumbass! Next time you write something ignorant and dumb, know its history first.

  • they need to accentuate the detail on the doors, a trademark on the orignal. Also the rear is too high, it looks like an old Javelin. Need to lower a bit like the original

  • You know nothing about design and aesthetics, do you?

  • that piece of crap as you put it was made almost 50 years ago, this one looks great cuz it's almost the same.

    p.s. you're an idiot mcdrummer

  • that "piece of crap" you refer to was and is one of the most inspired and destinctive designs ever. Its my favorite lambo by far.

  • If it werent for the miura maybe all supercars would stil have their engines in the front. So first do your homework before you're gonna insult years of hard work. FUCKIN IDIOT

  • Remakes are extremely rarely as good as the originals - it's called 'purity of design'. I suggest you go and read a few books and study a few of the great car designs of the last century, then you may just be qualified to make a considered opinion. (For example try looking at the original BMW 507, and compare it todays efforts from BMW)...

  • Good point -

Miura was born and lived its era at the top as it was abs.son of its own time -

the concept is a true beauty overall but there's no more a world around it =

Being a sport cars fan, owner and trader since 1973 and having seen the very first Miura units running in my town and then vanishing replaced by lots of cars which never will be icons,I remark that a roadcar gets meaningless if seen out of its time =

In the early 90es Miura was already "out"

here in Italy as a road car =

  • that is an unbelievable bit of alias. nice car too! lol

  • Countach che bella!

  • BAD ASS

  • this looks awsome is it official

  • i love this car!

  • What a great car!

  • Ojalá se ponga a la venta y yo tenga para comprarlo jeje

  • damn it looks nice. love the miura!

  • As far as it looking like a Ford GT, well that's a direct reflection of the times. Ford wanted to buy Ferrari but they didn't sell. So Ford made there own Ferrari-like car & called it the Ford GT40. About the same time Ferruccio Lamborghini was trying to show Enzo Ferrari how a proper sports car should be built, after the "you're a tractor builder" tiff. So yea, they are all very closely related as far as where sports cars of the time were then.

  • Absolutely stunning car! I really hope Lamborghini makes it. It faithfully has all of the great looks of the original Miura with the best of todays technology. One detail, I cant really tell if they kept, is the bull horn doors, the piece that sticks up so when the doors are open the car looks like a bull. I'm not sure about the front bumper though, it looks too much like an after thought unlike what Ive seen built in on other 70s Miuras.

  • it looks like ford gt on the sişde view @ 1:14

  • That car is an art of beuty. I get a hard on just by looking at it.

  • wow. wonderfull buzt i would change the lights and the bumper, make it look meaner

  • è bella quasi come l'originale...

  • It's very nice IMO but they should change this lower front bumper or just make it without. It has a kind of mustang in the 70s or 80s look. Really bad. Rest is beautiful.

  • i like what theyre starting to do. Remaking old classics like the challenger, the camaro, miura...

  • goo for it lamborghini! the Miura is simply beautifull

  • i saw it at the car saloon 06 in geneva. believe me, its beautiful

  • NO NO NO!!! whyd they have to screw with a classsic! argh remakes are never as good as the original

  • aww let it remain a concept car man, it doesnt have the lamborghini in it.. it looks so soft. not FIERCE like the gallardos and murcielagos

  • That rear end still looks awesome, no wonder they left it there exactly the way it was about 40 years ago. :D

  • it looks good but not really dangerous enough, its like a ~600hp baby's bottom.

  • It'd be cool to see that comeback
