Dont know why theres not more advertising for these cars! More focus went to the EVO but the Eclipse is just awesome! Plenty of bang for your buck!

I was looking at a mitsubishi eclipse the other day (1993). The only thiing i didn't like about it was how it had a short shifter. I like a nice loose gear shift. So my question is...can a mechanic take a short shifter out and lengthen the "H" that the gear shift sits on, and install a regular shifter? or will that be impossible and/or way too much money. And if you have a price in mind...say what you think.
