i have an question and im 100% serious: if you fill the whole shell with flash powder... will the lift be able to detonate the flash in the mortar because i dont want people to lose their arms because of me :S ??
i love these videos ive learned more about pyro technics in the last 2 days watching your videos, then the rest of youtube, i subscribed, please keep putting up more videos
Nice. I also make my own stuff hehe! I usually don't add the magnalium before I have properly mixed all the other ingredients together. Then I add magnalium as the last one and carefully mix that into the other ingredients. Safer way.
Parlon isn't actually just the binder. Most importantly it is the chlorine donor, and without it those green stars would be white. Looks like another wonderful series : )
I would assume it could be rolled, but I have also heard that parlon makes it hard and/or impossible, depending on the mix. I guess one would have to try it, and that is the beautiful thing about this hobby :)
Good job on this. You'll remember me as the guy putting together rockets at the next table, who said, 'I know you! Don't put me on youtube!' Welcome to the CJ's!
The stars are arranged in a face -pattern in a single layer in the middle of the shell. Some manufacturers use paper or plastic templates for correct alignment.
@oddsource .Believe it or not they put it in the shell that way. It spreads out in the shape it is put in. Amazing isn't it. Physics at work. Gotta love it.
do you put into this fero titanium powder, this is not on the paper

@Riddle757 That is great, thanks for that information. You can build and shoot a shell in a single day; it is a great way to start out.
