I've seen these adapters before once but for a 30-30 round. How accurate is this for a .22? After all a rifle barrel has a spiral twist and is gauged to the size of the bullet. The barrel of the shotgun must be short enough so the .22 bullet doesn't bounce off the inside of the barrel?
Very cool .. I'm hoping they end up making the longer 9 inch version in 20 ga. I'll enjoy a few of these ! Wish I had one , when I was a kid ! Versatile !
thats how people here in the uk used to convert brocock air revolvers to fire .22 rounds with an insert to take it from .38 air cartridge to a 22 centre fire and thats why uk laws are so strict
@killer009009 they are so strict becausre the average uk resident knows nothing of guns and belives the bull propiganda that guns are evil and they should be banned
@zanuha thats true, they cant even see there own statistics hand gun ban '97 this 2011 highest rate of armed roberies using pistols for 10 years, bans really world sad how our rights are going down the toilets
@azorath1521 No mate I used to use one when I was a gamekeeper for shooting sheep, cows and so on. All it dose is leve powder residue in the barrel that’s a bit of a bitch to clean out. I was however under the impression that these had been band under the 1988 amendments to the 1968 firearms act. Clearly I am wrong about this.
@rich2137 I like my sliver "the poor mans gold" haha check out "buchan bull bullion" just type it into you tube hes a buddy that sells bullion makes it himself his videos are cool pours silver graphite molds and steel molds and stuff I learn alot about money its value and the material value over paper and data value. 1 oz of silver is worth a shit ton if thiers no such thing as paper money. they say golds under valued 45-1 and silver under valued too. imange 1 oz x45 geez thats investment.
Haha a second shooter on a grassy knoll. No, that's sloppy camera work, the lens cap is on a string and it swings back and forth every time there's movement.
@UberLifeTroll I own one of these, I've shot a few niggers with these shells, its not as effective as shooting them with the full size 12 gauge, but they still run and yell " Oh sheet nigga! Hide da wadamelon "
Does the adapter have rifling in it? Because i dont want a .22 bullet just sliding down my shotgun barrel. That sounds like it would wreck your barrels after awhile. Does it matter what choke you have? I am considering getting one of these for my Stoeger coach gun so i can use it as a plinker too. It has a full choke.
It's got internal mechanisms, so after you shoot, when you let up on the trigger the other side is ready. Self cocking, basically. The bare feet are for that authentic double-barrel shotgun totin' woodsy image.
Yes, they are steel, and the same dimensions as a 3" shotshell. They are designed for use in a break open action like a double or single barrel, and since they are heavy they might put extra strain on a pump gun's loading and ejection systems, especially if its got a skeletonized lifter out of the magazine. Maybe if you hand feed it?
just out of curiosity, would this adapter take the pressure from the 22 round if you were to put this in a plastic 12 gauge flare gun? or would it explode?
I first got the idea from a museum bird collection curator. They only carry a 12 gauge in the field, but if they see a rare sparrow they just have to have for the archives, they put in either a .410 sleeve and use a regular .410 shell or a .22 sleeve with that blue-headed shot as ammo. I got one for .44 handgun bullets as well. I haven't been brave enough to try that yet!
@kien190 I think substituting a .22 shell for a shotgun primer sounds like it wouldn't work regularly. As you can see, the .22 adapter is offset, so the firing pin can strike the rim of the rimfire .22 shell. The sleeve has a bit more barrel to it than it appears. Basically it seems like shooting a 3inch .22 handgun inside of a tube... sounds really wierd in person too!
@kien190 would not work at all.first of all you would not be strikeing the rim of the cartige.second, have you ever fired a unsuported cartige?with nothing supporting the cartrige the case just explodes sending a bullet down range with no real direction or pressure behind it,giveing it no real power of any kind.the exstacting the case can be a pain in the ass.to fire .22 i a shot gun you just have to have an adapter.

Xxoo0o0o0ooxX 23 hours ago
@kien190 shotgun shell end is made of brass and might not handle the pressure of a .22 round going off. try it on a gun that you do not love.
