Laraine, a rampant dyke, is seen with her tongue all but hanging out. I know just how she felt, but the lesbianism was amazingly graphic for 1970s TV.
Also Earl Holloway made a remark that I was quite fond of too "She looks as though she should be driving a diesel truck" Hmmmm, in reference to Diesel dyke I wonder?
I don't think Earl Holliman could have been describing Laraine Stephens as a "diesel dyke". That terminology would better fit Fay Spain who is angry that she is about to be thrown over for Angie, not realising that she is a police woman "plant" in the set up. Laraine looks more of a "lipstick lesbian".
I am sure you are correct MsTexas73. "Police Woman" has not been shown on UKTV for around five years now, & probably will not ever return. A great shame, for me personally, since Angie Dickinson is still my all-time favourite pin-up, even though she was 40 years old when it was made. "Flowers Of Evil" was one of the best first season episodes, but i have read that complaints from the feminist brigade forced the producers to keep Angie's clothes on thereafter. DAMN!!!.
Yes and NO...depends on the episode...later in s1 an ep called Blast she plays a go go dancer in SKIMPY clothes...and in s3 Trick Book...Angie's in a Bikini...see my page...the background is an avitar I made from a cap from that episode...and in s3 Angie was 45!!!...It's my inspiration to take my butt back to Ballys! LOL!
