    Hellz yea!

  • AY! this is sick, soo steady too!

    nice location as well :P

although prbs a better choice of music :S

  • AWESOME

  • Thanks bro!!

  • Nice video! what kind of cam did you use!!

  • Thanks!

    it's a Nikon 'coolpix"

  • I love the combo of Buckethead and RC helis. "Jordan" is certainly one of Buckethead's good ones. Who was playing bass in that track? Not quite Claypool, but pretty good slap/pop action and very close to his sound. That Trex 450 is pretty sweet too, love the canopy. Got some good control of it too.

Oh, I see now, it was Bootsy Collins, of course. Love the info about the lunch and coffee preferences too, very useful info. Rock on and happy landings.

  • Thanks bro!

  • Amazing rc ;D

  • Thanks!

  • very cool video!. Im mostly into land RCs but I saw a 450 an i got to fly one not to long ago i was very suprised on how easy it was to control lol even more so that it flys upside down lol im thinking about getting one for myself soon. should I pratice without the camra first untill I get better?

  • Start right out with the camera, then you'll have some sweet crash footage : D

  • XD OMG! Nice

well i dont think i want to crash but if i do I will send you the video!

  • Nice.....heli!

  • Thanks bro!

  • SICK Bootsy / BH Jam... Excellent pilot! Sweet TREX ... awesome camera! one hotass fiance! (ill take your word for it) 5/5 bro ill spool up my CP right now! who makes your camera? link? thx!

  • Thanks Bro! The camera is just a Nikon Coolpix digicam. I set it to video and strapped it on : )

    All Hail Bucket!!!

  • Do you like the helicopter?

  • Align makes an awesome chopper!!!

    I have both 450's and 600's...

  • do u think u would be able to fly the heli using the camera alone?

  • That would be very cool, and very hard!

    I've never tried....

  • nice video...

    watch?v=9gZgLwYbacQ

  • Thanks!

  • how fast do thease things fly?

  • not exactly sure, but you can get them crusin pretty fast if your tryin...

  • What camera?

  • Nikon coolpix

  • Nice control.camera shots came out nice and clear.

  • Thanks. I was surprised how well the little cam worked for my first try : )

  • nice choice of music mate.and i like your video.nice flying!i wish i could fly like that too.5 stars!!!

  • Thanks bro! Ya gotta love Buckethead and Bootsy!

  • did it take alot of practice to fly like that, im going to get shogun v2 and put a camera on it? is that a good helicopter

  • I was flying about 2 months at this time, been flying about a year now and I'm getting into hard 3-D.

  • cool, maby when you get very good, enter a contest :D

  • DON't Fly around Powerlines ? lol

  • I find flying in and amongst power lines will recharge my li-po through a little known process called "electro-magnetic-telefunktion" I'm getting about 90 minutes of flytime from a 1200mah Walmart 3S li-po pack (they keep them in the garden dept.) lqtm...

  • haha are you serious

  • rarely...

    : )

  • hey nice 450 but i got i question whats better for someone who doesent fly 3d but just flys out side the 450e or the 600e?

  • Go 600E and you'll never be sorry! The 600 is expensive to repair if you thrash it, but if your just sport flying you'll probably never beat it up. 600's are awesome!! Or do what I'm doing, saving up for the new T-Rex 900, coming soon!!!

  • Cool flying & onboard video, not to mention soundtrack ;-) I've just got all the video gear together for FPV with LCD Glasses & simultaineous DVR recording, via a 2.4GHz downlink. Not an off the shelf system, all custom gear. Had to use UBEC's, as some awkward volts needed to run this lot ;-) Obviously, couldn't use spectrum as same freq. so have Futaba 6EXP 35Mhz to get round the probs.

    Steve

  • Awesome! You should be able to get some sweet video with that set-up!!! Unfortunatly, my system isn't even "low-tech" my system is "no-tech" a pocket camera rubberbanded to my T-Rex :D

  • But.. yours works straightaway ;-) and... you can fly real good. I'm still a bit novice at flying, so fancied 'flying' from 'In' the heli, (view wise). When I pull it all together I'll post some vids of the complete system, also some flying vids & probably some crashes ;-)

    Steve

  • Thanks for that, I think I'll need something lighter as my heli already weighs 938g!

  • Just wondering what camera you used? And the weight? Cheers.

  • Hi. I used a little Nikon "coolpix" pocket camera. Probably 1/2 pound with batteries.

  • for over a G that's one damn nice heli!!!

  • Thanks bro! I started with an Aluminum frame S model 450 and totally tricked it. I like that it doesn't look like anyone elses.

  • how much one of those helis cost

  • Hmmm, Hard to say...

    Alot!

    Over a G into this 450 (including DX-7 radio)...

  • wow maybe i wont get one lol ive got a savage x 4.6 rc monster truck but i was looking into getting a helli got any good recummendations

  • Yes, there are a lot of excellent entry level helicopters that are fairly cheap and come test flown out of the factory with all the electronics set up on them. An excellent one to start on is the Blade CX2 by E-flite. It has counter rotating proppellors so it cancels out the torque of one main roter head making it really easy to fly for beginners. You can find them on line or more than likely at your local hobby shop. For new pilots look for counter rotating or fixed pitch helicopters.

  • The Blade Cx2 will run around $189 + tax. it is better than the regular cx 1 version because the radio it comes with. The cx2 comes with a spektrum radio which in a nut shell means if you were to fly with someone else who had a radio, you would not crash them down and they could not crash you either due to radio frequency interfearence.

  • dorvman is right on the money with his CX-2 advice. The best "entry level" heli out there. You can find them on "RC Hobbies" website. It's the hobby shop I work at, we can send one right to your door : )

  • Nice canopy man cum on giz the loadown if u wudent mind tellin me were u got it =)

check out my vids ive got the latest trex with all upgrades there just standard undercarage on it i wnt your blue ones =(

lol gnna look on midland now cya

  • Sweet Rex bro! My canopy is one of the clear ones that I painted myself. I was going for the dragonfly look : )

  • KICKASS!~

  • Thnx Razz!

  • Very cool, makes me want to upgrade from my Air Hogs Havoc Heli. What sort of camera setup were you using for the onboard video?

  • Hi. A Nikon coolpix L12 rigged on there. Heli's are a blast! and T-Rex's are the shiz!!!

    C-Ya...

  • Dont you get nervous flying it over water? what if something went wrong, that would suck!

  • Kinda dumb I suppose, but it makes for cool video : )

  • no,I think it made for great video, I would just hate to see it crash in the water. lol

  • Outstanding vid bro. Nice flying as well. Still looking forward to my first rex.

  • Thanks homie! yea, ya gotta give it up to the guys from Align, these things are the shiz! All the gear looks like it's starting to come down a little in price, radios and choppers both, that would be sweet! C-Ya...

  • wow, i want one of those, are good for beginners?

  • No, not a good heli for beginners. Very expensive to crash and repair. Try the e-flight "Blade CX2" that is an excellent into chopper and what I started out with. Have fun, choppers are a blast!

  • or better yet, go for the Blade CP Pro. it is a CCPM heli like the trex

  • lol go for the T-Rex. In the long run, it will last you longer. The CP Pro is one of the most hard to control helis because of the Bell Hiller Mixing. I actually only own a CX but I work at a hobby shop so I know what I'm talking about.

  • I gotta say, the CP is an important training tool. I wouldn't want it to be my only heli, but it is a great trainer, and the first time I crashed my rex it was $125 in repairs, I could crash my CP 10 times for that. I use my CP to train, glad I got one. If you can fly your CP good, you can fly anything.

  • nice on-board camera shots, no vibration. how did you get that so smooth?

  • Just made a little swing that hung under the frame, it kinda folded under, in between the skids when I landed, it worked ok for a rig-me-up. I had rubber bands holding it from swinging during flight, thats why it's kinda bouncy...

  • It,s more easy ... simply perfect fly & video maked !!congratulations !!

  • Thank you!

  • what kind of remote control u use?? I've tried 3 different helicopter, two falcon 3d, 36* dragonfly, sjm400 pro. But isn't fly good high i could get is about two inch. The tail always make my helicopter go circle. could you help. Im begining -_- noob

  • I use a spectrum DX7 radio. Look at my other vid called "my new T-Rex 600" the first time I start it, it starts to spin. When your chopper does this, the gyro is probably reversed. Check your Gyro for a reverse switch. Also, make sure your tail blades are twisting in the correct direction (stick left = nose left), you will need to reverse servo direction in the radio if it's backwards. Good luck.

    C-Ya...

  • that thing flys great

  • This is one of my favorite T-Rex videos yet.

  • The T-rex looks excellent with no close up ground shots I notice.(I'm only jealous). I like your other onboards, you can hear the tail motor kicking in with the gyro.

  • Good flying and great heli cam shots.
